That's my interpretation of these events if the web posting proves to be genuine. Terrorists don't warn of attacks. It partially defeats the purpose. They may have something in mind, but I doubt it will impact the operation in Husaybah.
Keep in mind we attacked along the Syrian border running up to the recent elections - and there was less associated violence than anticipated by many.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - U.S. and Iraqi troops battled insurgents house to house Monday, the third day of an assault against al-Qaida-led insurgents in a town near the Syrian border. The U.S. command reported the first American death in the operation.
In Baghdad, a leading Sunni Arab politician, Adnan al-Dulaimi, called for a halt to U.S. and Iraqi military operations against cities in order to encourage disaffected Sunnis to join the political process and vote in national elections next month.

Baghdad Burning:
"Congratulations Americans- not only are the hardliner Iranian clerics running the show in Iran- they are also running the show in Iraq. This shift of power should have been obvious to the world when My-Loyalty-to-the-Highest-Bidder-Chalabi sold his allegiance to Iran last year. American and British sons and daughters and husbands and wives are dying so that this coming December, Iraqis can go out and vote for Iran influenced clerics to knock us back a good four hundred years."
