Well, it's a good start for a Monday, no matter how you look at it. Enjoy it now - by noon they'll have gone from being terrorists, to insurgents, to innocent civilians - which I don't buy for a minute.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A violent morning in Iraq: Thirty-seven militants are dead after an assault at dawn Monday by U.S. and Iraqi troops trying to stem the flow of insurgent fighters from Syria.
Operation Steel Curtain entered a new phase when U.S. and Iraqi forces moved into the Euphrates River valley town of Obeidi, about 185 miles west of Baghdad. That's according to a statement from the U.S. military.

Terrorist, Insurgents, Innocent Civilians......don't forget wedding guest's!
I still like "Kill em all, let God sort them out"

hmm, the reactions to this news item say enough about your intelligence. Let God sort tyhem out, are you religious? you should read your bible more. Second of all, The US government is such an honest institution! We should all believe what they say! My advise to you is: if you cannot come up with an opinion of your own, then dont speak up!

In a war zone the correct terms would include insurgents, rebels, and guerrillas. However, when they cross the border into Jordan and blow up a hotel they are commiting a terrorist act and are thus terrorists.
guerrilla: a person who engages in irregular warfare especially as a member of an independent unit carrying out harassment and sabotage
Personally, I consider the puritanical Islamists to be "revolutionary anarchists" as their strategy is to destroy civil authority tossing a society into chaos with the goal of using armed militias [gangs] to seize control and institute an oppressive theocratic state.
