Taylor Behl Update

The remains were discovered in a grave behind a barn on an isolated piece of private property in the sparsely populated county, located about 50 miles east of Richmond. Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe could only confirm where they are and that remains of a body has been discovered.

What results?

Would those results be the result of forensics done on soils, or some other evidence on the tires or side of the car?
Such as certain elements in the soil usually found in certain areas only?

What I wonder is if it was testimony at the Grand Jury that led them to this specific spot today (besides knowing it was a site of interest because of an earlier witness interview).

That was my first thought too. I would have to believe that there is some connection to the owners of this property and whoever the police believe the main suspect is. I just hope that their is definitive forensic evidence that will lead to an arrest and conviction regarding this case.

good point teresa: the property is well maintained. It isn't an abandoned place.
Could be a weekend farm which people don't visit every week. Mathews and Diggs (since it's right on the water) have a lot of vacation homes and weekend homes.

They were goning to have a 2nd grand jury hearing. He could have been called to that one or maybe he just took the 5th.

This would explain a lot with regard to the psycho’s story about being kidnapped that night and being unaccounted for from 11:00 pm till 6:00 am

50 miles each way driving cautiously, that is 2 hours right there minimum!

If it was Fawley, he had about 4 hours to do what he did and bury her! WOW!

Erin Crabill is an supposedly internet porn model/former girlfriend who was photographed by Ben Fawley. (It sounds like this was his big porn photography - he talks alot, but tells someone who wants to buy his work that he doesn't do "hard porn") He has a number of rants on the internet regarding her. It appears that she sold his pictures without giving him credit. He talks about how she harrased him and intimates that she and her "friends" were reponsible for beating him up on several occasions. His Live Journal posting attributes Erin to the mugging he received the day after Taylor disappeared (his alibi) Erin is a model on Veg Porn - I know way too little to make a judgement about anyone - just wanted to point out that there are many unsavory folks associated with this - not just Ben Fawley. One of his internet friends (Raven) is certain that he didn't do it - and even believes that the hard-core porn was on the computer of the ex-roomate (Black17?) who's stuff he "inherited" and was selling on E-bay) Don't ask me for links - cause I've seen all of this on various sites - and haven't kept track.

Dan's post says that LE got there from something recovered in/on one of the cars. SO, perhaps one of the cars they impounded was driven there.

They found a photograph of the farm at Fawleys house. When another witness was shown the photograph he told investigators where the farm was. It is an abandoned farm, abandoned for at keast the past year. The police are saying they are 99.99999 percent sure the body is Taylors.

These are the links to the house people are talking about on websleuth.com that they think is the same house where the body is found. These pictures were found on his deviantart website. After seeing the news the houses don't look similar to me however there a many houses in this area (Matthews/Gloucester) that look like this. It could of been a house located in Matthews but maynot not the one the body was found at. I live in Gloucester County which is one county over from Matthews.

Scroll down to the dates of May 16 and around there. Now look at the dates on the deviantart pics. They are nearly contemporaneous. The house is definitely near wherever he went with Erin!

Not saying this is the same place they found a body, but it is near wherever Erin is from.

The Richmond police said they believe the body is Taylor Behl. There was one person that Ben knows that was very cooperative with the police. There is one person that was close to Ben that wrote in their journal that they would not let their career or their friend be jeopardized by Ben. Both of these people are possibly the informant. Someone turned in Ben for the child porn. I know who I think did it, read the journals and make your own decisions. All that talk about Ben being harrased and attacked by Erin and company is Ben's paranoia and track covering. He is always "setting the scene," it's what he does in every aspect of his life.

Daystarburn, do you know Ben Fawley? I'm not saying that he's not guilty, just that I don't know him personally - and it's real easy to throw stones. I replied to a post and the poster turned out to be his sister-in-law. She e-mailed me in reply and made sure that I knew that Ben Fawley is no saint, but in her estimation, he's hardly a killer. They own a yarn mill in PA.

Chief Monroe press conference:
1. did not receive tip, two VCU detectives found site.
2. had been checking locations, where pictures had been taken.
3. body was off a dirt road in the woods - not next to any building.

Did not say who had pictures, would not say male, female or anything much about the site. Did say it was a large site. FBI working the site - maybe two days before positive ID.

A coincidence found by people looking for her? I don't believe in coincidences but it would be bizarre if it weren't her.

Rodney Monroe says that there was no tip, he said officers were just working the case. He said a picture of the Matthews County property was found in relation to the Taylor Behl case. The investigators have been searching various locations, and were finally able to find someone who knows Ben to identify the area where the discovery was made today. He said the officers found the remains when they were investigating the property.

lindadanette, is your reply about throwing stones related to my comment about Ben Fawley setting the scene? He made a lifestyle out of setting the scene, not disputeable. He did suffer from paranoia, he abused precscription and illegal drugs while not taking prescribed medicine. I do not need to be a doctor to know that is bad.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM THINKING!!!!!! Ben is SO weird, he would be perfect to pin the blame on. Also, at first, the police were saying they believed Ben when he said he had been abducted. I suppose next they will find his camera somewhere down in that abandoned place....perfect setup because who is going to believe Ben Fawley? Most people have already convicted him anyway for his weirdness.

The more I learn about this, the more I believe Ben Fawley is being set up. I can't help but wonder why HIS sent was not found in the car....no it was "Jesse" somebody, right? He is just the too obvious one...I initially thought it HAD to be him. I am inclined to think not. LE has not said that the scent or "sent" in the car was Jesse. They said that the scent went from the car to the aunt & uncle of Jesse. They never have said that the shirt in the house and the scent belonged to the same person. Whoever, drove the car to that location - near skateboarders - probably knew who lived at the house. If the driver, walks to the house the scent is followed. Who is being set up??
