Taylor Behl: Motive Or Mayhem?

Web logging is about gathering and sharing information, often between reader and blogger. Some exchanges I've had in email with a journalist have been about motive in the murder of Taylor Behl.

For instance, one fellow Bob suggests Taylor didn't say she was going to do something illegal, he posits it could have been a misunderstanding and she said she saw something illegal; perhaps child porn on Ben Fawley's computer. In that case, Fawley's motive for the murder would have been to protect himself, assuming she was going to reveal his crime.

That's just one quick bit of speculation - and not totally fair to Bob's entire theory. But I wanted to offer people a chance to discuss motivation in this crime, assuming you think there was one. The other option is simply that Fawley lost it,  but even then, why? Was he jealous? Of who and when? Did she somehow otherwise reject him? Keep in mind, this fellow was extremely irritated with Erin Crabill over a long period of time, yet so far as we know he never attempted to kill her.

So, think about if you'd like. Why did Ben Fawley murder Taylor Behl? To be honest, I'm not sure I know. Do you?

Frawley hated Crabill, he had a long time to think about how he would kill her without leaving a sign. He thought it through, over and over in his mind, evaluated options, researched. When Behl presented a threat, he knew how to take care of it and he did.

I don't see how "illegal" was misunderstood when you add "before she turns 18".

Its a very sad thing that back in Feb. when Taylors friend introduced her to Fawley that he was able to take advantage of her then and weave her into his tangled web. She was so young and vunerable. I think from that point because of her looking like his girlfriend that had broken up with him he turned to Taylor as his next victom. He because obsessed with her and wanted her for his own. She was not really interested in him that much as he did not like that when she started school knowing she was skateboarding with other people she had met and having dinner with new friends and so forth. It was another rejection for him and he was so obsessed with her and because she was not really interested in him she made a mistake back in February when he told her how pretty she was and took pictures of her and told her she could be a model. I am sure she was flattered. He felt like she betrayed him. Guess he figured if he could not have her then no one else would. When she left to go skateboarding with her new friends she was stalking her and took her that night. What he did to her and how she died may not be known. Maybe he will confess. He took her car and her and drove her there. He brought her car back and changed tags and parked it on thsat street near her other friends house to try and set up someone else doing this to her. His mental state is really screwed. All his actions and lies about being kidnapped just did not work and parking her car near another friends as a coverup, huh. He did it all. Hope he burns in hell. The scumbag creep !!
This is so upsetting. She did nto even see her 18th birthday. She was just 17. What a waste of a beautiful life to come. She was still learning about life and was so vunerable. I feel so sad for her mom and dad. Just like Natalee. Another life wasted by a scumbag.

Who knows what Taylor was implying, but I'm sure she was not talking about her own demise as the "illegal" thing! People have been crapping on Taylor and her reputation all over LJ's and blogs. You know what? She did not ask for this. I don't know what she did in her "private" life, nor does anyone else, but I assure you, she did not do unto others as was done to her. So, Benjamin Fawley, put that in your pipe and smoke it. You are a disgrace and I wish I had run into you before her. I would have cracked your shit WIDE open.

i'm all for digging around hunting for possible motives.. yet, sheesh, sometimes, and OFTEN in this case, the "speculation" kinda ventures off into "woo-woo" land.. and i am surprised that you would even posit such a scenario as posted above, dan.. kinda like blood in the water..

taylor goes to ben's.. knocks on the door.. no answer.. it's open, so she walks in.. ben is nekkid in front of his computer.. taylor is like, "omigosh! ben ! what are you doing?" and he says, "oh! hi! uhh. nothing.. just looking at some child porn with 1 and 2 year old children. i really dig this stuff! wanna see?" and taylor is like, "dude! you're gross! i'm going to report you to the authorities as soon as i tell my friend i saw something illegal" and ben is like, "bummer, ok.. but after you tell him i will kill you before you can report me" and taylor is like, "ok.. KEWL !"

I think that Ben planned everything, maybe not well, but he planned everything. I do not know how he had so much involvement online.

If Ben broke into the house to get photo equipment, the house where the dog tracked a scent from Taylor's car, why was the tripod overlooked by the cops? They knew about Ben and his hobbies, the tripod should have at least triggered LE's memory of wheteher it was in the trunk.

I have thought about the highly illegal statement often, and I have decided that if she said it, it was a trap by Ben, or perhaps enough X, weed and prescription drugs will make you say anything.

i love this stuff.. i think i saw this on the last Oprah.. sure, maybe ben was forcibly stuffing weed, X, oxycontins, viagra, and methampetamines into Taylor until she was a blob of jello..

here's my theory, since everybody is on the drugz kick:

they went to the beach to do some acid.. the timing is right, the setting is right, and if this is a drug thing, then that is my feeling..

now.. as per her death/murder.. hmm.. coulda been they were both trippin so hard that when they did the "consensual" roughsex, that it got out of hand, and she expired.. and ben, tripping his balls off, totally freaked out and the rest is history..

i have read some stuff here about a pelvic injury.. i haven't seen any "hard" reporting on that, but here's my take on that w/ the above mentioned drug scenario..

they go to the beach to trip and skateboard.. while tripping like crazy they decide to do the car/skateboard thing (with ben driving of course) .. an accident occurs, and she buys the farm.. ben freaks out since he is tripping and a felon and she is dead and he isn't sposed to be driving and dumps her. i dunno.. maybe they were doing x and weed and rx drugs..

I don't think he meant to kill her. I think he lost control of himself. Remember, this is a guy who prides himself in being a "Master" In fetish speak, he is in ultimate control. Someone like that doesn't lose control unless he wants to. That's the game, he controls himself by controlling others. If there is noone to control, he is powerless. That's why Erin would never have been harmed. Ben was doing what he could to control her and she was bucking him and throwing him for a loop. But he was not stupid enough to think he could frame her. Or was he?

I guess I should leave the speculation to the experts huh.

I think that taylor's "highly illegal" activities does have something to do with drugs and/or some type of property thing...either crashing an abandoned wherehouse or building to throw a party or just tagging it up. she was into skating right? A lot of skaters I know tag (not to say every skater tags). As for the drug end I dont think lsd would be involved as much only because if you drop lsd you want to be with someone you trust. i read on her lj that she wasn't into hardcore drugs. lsd will have you trippin hardcore, and if she wasn't into the scene then I highly doubt she would be trippin at night with a guy she may not have wanted to be around (friends said she was calling it off). Also it can be kinda tough to get LSD, unless you know the right people. It's not like back in the 70s where it was easier to get. I live in California and it's pretty hard to get acid. I think that if she wanted to do drugs that night it would have been X (pretty big in the college scene). But again, I dont think she would have willingingly done (hardcore) drugs with Fawley unless she planed it. If anything he may have enticed her with some maryjane or alcohol to just kick it and could have slipped her some GHB (colorless, odorless, and tasteless). If she injested GHB, then BF could have had his way with her (i've been drugged with it before, and trust me you have no control of what the f*ck happens to you). It's a date rape drug.

with that said i think there's 2 possible motives.

1) He gave her too much ghb (that shit will kill you) freaked out and dumped the body in the most isolated place he could think of

2) Taylor rejected him , he lost it, killed her, then he realized how f*cked he really was, and with nothing to lose he decided to destroy as much as he could be placing the body near Erin's estate, then reverted back to his pathetic self and played the victim.

Fawley claims child porn on computer was placed by a previous roommate. Cino was a previous roommate. I am not placing this blame on Cino. I respect Cino's respect for others. But just thought I would make mention.

If you have Javascript turned off, images and links will be from the live web, not from the archive of old Web files. Other than that, there is no way around the robots.txt. It is put in place at the request of the web owner for the entire site, words or a certain page. Once the robots is put into place, records are no longer kept. Don't think you will get around this, unless maybe you find a pc hack, and that is illegal as hell.
