h/t to Crystal: Emerging information isn't looking very good for suspect Ben Fawley. I would think the times of any transactions might be helpful in noting whether Taylor Behl was killed in Richmond and driven to Mathews County, or if the two might have traveled there earlier while Taylor was still alive.
If the later scenario is true, that could have ramifications for individuals other than Fawley. I don't know if police have found the source for the plastic in which she was wrapped.
Another note - I believe it looked as though Fawley had purchased some donuts on this trip. Even with all the time past, the medical examiner might be able to determine if Taylor was still alive at that time based upon residual stomach contents.
8News has uncovered new details in that case as well. According to multiple sources, Fawley's credit card was used to buy gas in New Kent County around the time Behl disappeared. New Kent County lies between Richmond and Mathews County, where Behl's remains were found.
Update and Correction: It might have been cookies. I was referring to the Pepperidge Farm wrapper which police sought. That's assuming the item was purchased on the road. I may be making a bigger leap there than I should, it just sort of added up. I couldn't think of another reason why the wrapper was listed in the search warrant. So I was thinking a quick mart type of purchase given that police likely already had the credit card receipts when they executed the warrant.
Scratch that theory, apparently the cookies were given to Taylor by her Mother before leaving Richmond.

This is true, Jackpot. The GRN ERTH plates did come about after her car was impounded and the Nissan was impounded. They did not say WHY they were interested, just that it was "related" to Taylor.

I live in Richmond. But on the national news tonight was Jim Nolan from the Richmond Times Dispatch. I'm pretty sure he said "Ben Fawley's bank card was used the morning after Taylor was reported missing", which came as news to me. The other reports had been vague. I think she was reported missing 2 or 3 days after she left the dorm. If he was in New Kent days later, I wouldn't find that so strange, since he went to Mathews County a lot anyway.

My channel 9 news ran these Fawley fun facts: (say that 5 time fast;)
-Graduated 1986 Doylestown, PA (Central Bucks County West, I believe)
- Senior quotes included the acronym "S.C.U.M." and bizarre phrases like, "Commando Bunnies of Death," and a quote that was something like, "It's enough to make you wonder sometimes if we're on the right planet?" "New day rising."
His only school activity was Drama Club.
Reporters tried to reach his mom and the mother of his two kids. His mother refused comment. His ex- mentioned that she has been approached to due numerous interviews and that some tabloids even offered large amounts of cash. She said he probably wouldn't be doing ANY, but you do have to wonder.
The only person who would come on camera was a cop who had numerous run ins with Ben.
the cop said that it was known that Fawley was the town trouble maker, but that he was only a small time crook and non violent offender. (trespassing, burglary, cars, ect..) I found it interesting that the cop mentioned that Ben on many occasions refered to himself as an "ANARCHIST," and would spray paint the sides of vehicles with catchy little slogans like, "Question Authority."

Question Authority bumper stickers were VERY popular in the 80s--in and of itself harmless.

You know, if I were on a jury, I would not be 100% sure that BF is the murderer. Yes, he is WEIRD!!! However, there are too many other strange things connected to this case...like why isn't HIS scent in the car? Whose car is the Nissan? How do the 3 sets of license plates fit (other than he is a license plate collector/stealer)?
What made Erin suspect that the body was in Mathews? That was a strange comment she made about the cell phone (IMHO). His ranting and raving about her sounds no different than the stuff she said about him to me. He did say on one of the journals that someone broke in awhile back but left with a knife cut.
Ah well, I suppose I am about the only person is not sure the murderer is him--I keep going back and forth.

1inR: I'm sure if you sat on a jury and heard all the facts, that would give you a whole different perspective based on the evidence. Until we know the cause of death, we don't even know of he is guilty of a crime.
