Is that really the best you can do? That would be like some liberal blogger duplicating the post of some right-wing, paranoid, militia man and calling it representative of the conservative right.

As a liberal, I will happily point out less biased, more objective posts written in a more educated fashion. Whoever wrote that post you cite is a doof.

- Leftie liberal who actually *shudder!* checks out your blog from time to time. And doesn't even regard it as an example of a "bigot" or a "liar." G-d forbid!

Problem is, fella, you didn't read what the man actually said. He didn't say the blog was "representative of the left". He just said it is one of the most widely read web logs, and he backed it up with a page of stats. It seems you don't subscribe to those politics and don't care to be associated with what the site represents. Fine - Say so. Or perhaps it's easier ans safer to blame Dan than to visit Kos or Eschaton and say out loud that they should tone down their rhetoric? (I'm sure such criticism would be well-received, no?) Why not start your own blog and express your reservations about these hard-left sites? Or at least explain them here in detail? In your own words, "Is that really the best you can do?"

Here's an example of a hard-left blog, recently pitted against a well-right-of-center blog. Not claiming either side is 100% representative of anyone - but both are highly-trafficked. Hope that's a sufficient disclaimer for you, Leftie.
