FYI - On Fox they are reporting that Deepak Kalpoe denies answering pertinent questions in the manner the tape from Skeeters depicts. I do find it interesting that even the Twitty family is saying they "hope" the tape is real. Apparently they don't have complete confidence in Skeeters either. Now onto the post at hand.

One aspect of it is when you inspire someone else to start a web log - even if they do it because they disagree with you. That doesn't really matter to me. I embrace the medium and welcome anyone to give it a try. If you build readership, whatever their positions - that's what it is all about, a sense of community around the exchange of information.

In the end, it will be the people not the bloggers who determine what is popular and perhaps even right. A formed reader since banned has started this blog.

And anoter reader continues on with her efforts, as well.

Well, at least on this article you have it spelled correctly as Web Logs as opposed to your Categories spelling of Web Blogs so guess that is an improvement. Makes you living proof that even the semi-literate can have their own web log. Soon everyone will have one it seems.

But you attracted a lot of posters to your forum based on your once professed unconditional support for the family of Natalee Holloway which turned out to be so shallow that when you found yourself out of the loop on information, you turned on them and instead of being at least neutral are now a charter member of the van der Sloot fan club. It's just all a big joke for you, Dan, but for some it is not a game. They don't have the privilege of changing horses in midstream as you have done for it's their child who is missing.

Well, the Twitty family did say it tonight and more interesting, it wasnt DR Phil after all that put conditions on the tape but the lawyer for the Twittys. Now humm, how in the world is that Dans fault? And the Fed Ex'd tape still hasnt made it to Aruba.

Well, who can really blame them, to date every lead they thought would turn out has been bogus, every affirmative statement, false. They are grapping at any straws to find their daughter and I'm sure by now conditioned that it might not work out the way they so badly need it too. After 4 mths of dead end roads, I'd "hope" too!

Blogs are new to me but the dynamics are interesting. Two thoughts...in my opinion, since the blog is personal, the owner has every right to allow or not allow any poster. I don't know who started the Dirty Police blog and I still wasn't sure after looking at it. I did notice the absence of Frank though, and whether I agreed with him or not, quite honestly, I really found him to be very intellligent, concise, and articulate. I miss his contributions. I know some did not agree with him, but the diversity of views stated in a respectful and intelligent way is what makes the discussion interesting.

It seems clear to me that many people that have been here since the very beginning of the investigation seemed to be here because they thought Dan was totally against the 3 boys. Well, fromm my own observations, and I do always think oside of the "bxo" if you will, Dan has alaways remaimed neutral. Innocent till proven guilty. He has had extreme respect for the Twitty's, Holloway's, and most of all Natalee. If Dan has resently come out and said, "look we can not slander and go on assuming these guys are guilty without actual eveidence, then i believe he has integrety, and being morally true to himself. He is not saying they DID NOT do it, he is saying that there has not been eveidence to prove it. You can not solve a case on here say alone. Unfortunately when you try to be honest, and go by the books you tends to lose alot of support because the ones that were there for you all along are not as dignified and true as they claim. In Dan's profession he puts up with alot of B/S and he can take the heat. Actually, I would venture that those who don't understand the difference between:

innocent until proven guilty and believing that someone is innocent,

are the stupid ones.

I believe in presumption of innocence until proven guilty. This doesn't make me stupid. It means that I believe in a basic and fundamental right guaranteed to individuals from many countries in the world fortunate to have guaranteed rights and freedoms.

Those who advocate vigilante justice shouldn't be lecturing anyone, on what's right and what's wrong in this case.

Dan should just ban anybody that thinks or says anything bad about Van der Sloot or the Kalpoes because he is under extreme pressure from the Aruban and U.S. government to stop bad feelings between the two countries and obviously has been threatened to not allow guilt and Joran in the same sentence on his blog.

Anyone who can continue to make excuses for Beth when she lies at every turn are the ones who are showing their ignorance. This woman can't even tell the truth about her own daughter's toothbrush. Her story changes to suit her ego needs for the day.

In trials, emotions count for ZERO. How one FEELS is irrelevant. FACTS, and EVIDENCE are the only logical way to run any criminal investigation.
Since there is no evidence, and the facts are not incriminating, then the only possible choice is that which was undertaken.

Am I saying these boys are innocent? I don't know, and neither does anyone except those actually involved. Do I THINK they might have something to do with it. Yes I do, but I cannot convict someone based upon "feelings"...and those who can....would be better off moving to Russia or Cuba, where that style of "justice" occurs frequently.

It has nothing to do with whose "side" someone is on. You are either a just person, or you are not. Unless you were personally involved, and are privy to the true facts, then all you and I have are OPINIONS.

Last I heard, the only countries where people were punished for "opinions" were communist countries...and maybe that is where you belong.

this call for a ban on Aruba is a joke, Why not call a ban on California and every other state that messed up a murder investigation, i.e OJ or even the entire USA for war crimes.

I've been to both Aruba and USA for vacations and with a doudt the people in Aruba treat holiday makers better than we have been treated in USA, but I only have been to LA,Vegas,San Diago, SF in three weeks and I cant wait to get out of this pit.
