It did not say whether he was the perp in the photos or movies with the kids, but if he was.....hang him--literally.
If he was not, and just had the materials, then a long, long, long prison term is in order.
But, we all know what will happen. Some psychiatrist will get on the stand and say something along the lines of "Well, he did this because he was abused. His mother actually spanked him when he did something wrong."
Then they will pat him on the back and say, "how sad a childhood you had,"
and let him go. Never thinking of the lives of children he has ruined--forever.
Although I am not in favor of torture...sometimes I think I might change my mind.

This is all to common a story. They better lock him up and never let him out. These guys DONT rehabilitate, and our society seems to have real trouble learning that until it's too late.

Hey Dan...didn't you post something not to long back about some blogger efforts to help crack down on these guys? I'm going to look for that. I'd love to help rid society of these psychos.

Right Alamo, our culture doesn’t want us to condemn anything and it doesn’t take criticism easily, they always need a "reason". The invention of information technology has put child pornography more into the open. Yet we hear so little of it in the news, even newspapers put the stories in small print. Seems ecological issues are more important than dealing with the moral pollutants out there trying destroy our children.
There is work under way to catch these creeps, now the laws need to be changed on punishments. I do not believe for one second, any of these people can be cured.

i will always remember this summer as the summer of natalee & shasta......the image of shasta in the convience store is one of the saddest things i have ever seen.........america needs to adopt a zero tolerance policy ASAP
there is no possible excuse to let these people back on the streets...........ever

Gawd, what a sick ahole! He really doesn't deserve to be alive. People need to keep a close eye on their children because these creeps are everywhere.

There is NO DAMN comparison between Natalee and Shasta.
Shasta was a little girl who was kidnapped in her own home by a monster from Hell.
Natalee's story, well, let's not even start that one again. Big, huge, monstrous difference between an innocent kidnapped and a grown woman who----

I'm all for extermination of these wastes of life. They're breathing my air, and since there is seriously no hope of rehabiliating these types, why keep em alive? This guy needs to be be assigned a cellie who is a murderer and is in for life. Natural selection at its finest....

Kudos to Dan for posting this.
Hope this guy never sees the light of day again. I have no tolerance for people like this, and I am sure many U.S. citizens share my opinion.

sorry...i may not have been clear. was not trying to compare.........but off the top of my head i can think of several incidents i've read about that do compare to shasta...they were not given the media attention.i think we can agree about the monsters,,,get them out of our society.
btw though natalee, taylor & latoya are not children .........but i think they too ran into monsters from hell
thanks

Awful. Just another example of how our society is not effectively weeding out these predators.
I agree, I will always think of Natalee, Shasta and Dylan, and Taylor Behl. I am not comparing them, but this was the first year I actually had the time to follow the news so closely.
I also still can't get this other murdered girl out of my head, Drew Sjodin. So sad!!!!
