Homeland Security To Expel All Illegals
Political pandering, or new approach. You be the judge - and whose going to hold the ACLU back. Or will they consult their charter and realize that by definition, illegals aren't Americans?
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said his department aims without exception to expel all those who enter the United States illegally. "Our goal at DHS (Homeland Security) is to completely eliminate the 'catch and release' enforcement problem, and return every single illegal entrant, no exceptions.
"Through a comprehensive approach, we are moving to end this 'catch and release' style of border enforcement by reengineering our detention and removal process."

Thanks Dan. There may be a lot of folks without maids, nanny's, landscapers, roofers, cooks, etc.

Fantastic, what a good idea, With them deported I can go to the emergency room and be served without having to wait 5-6 hours while the emergency room physicians treat mexican babies and their illegal alien mamasita's.

It's nice to be able to finally agree with everyone, for a change.

Thats's Right Iquitos, all talk and no action and if I could add, there will be no funds to do it with. Sorry to say it is just token lip service beause of the 2006 elections. I think it will be only to return non-mexicans because of the terror threat.
There will be just too much economic impact if they are returned.
Maybe the Army can offer Mexican nationals citizenship by serving for 5 years in Iraq?
After all, the President can still talk to the troops since he speaks Spanish.

Bravo Michael Chertoff !! They can do it legal way.

Since States mostly have no business deciding or even checking for illegal status, that would seem pretty slow going for Feds.
Funding?

FINALLY!! Long time coming! Let's hope they will put some meat into this and get the illegal's outta here,
keep others from entering, fine their employers or maybe jail time and a fine would work for the greedy employers.
Now put the welfare bums to work at jobs the illegals had.

That is exactly why they will follow through. Adding more "crises" will lead to more government controls. Hell, it is the same game plan used over and over and over...because it works. Just do a little history study and you will understand the program.

there have been enployer sanctions on the books for years but they don't enforce them. ins would go in a bust a factory and they would have everybody on their backs before they got off the property. this has been on the books for year. employ an illegal and you can be sanctioned. sounds like a simple formula but it is not enforced becasue politiciasn want it both wasy, talk tough, and turn a blind eye.

Who is going to clean crap from public toilettes, you? Are you going to pick tomatoes ten hours a day under the burning sun for $4.00 dlls. an hour? And why you have to go free emergency rooms if you are a privileged person? You are the most discrimating white trash!

typo: meant discriminating

If the US managed to deport every illegal, the Mexican economy would collapse and the the US would be in much deeper shit than it is by allowing a few million illegals to work at low paying jobs. Mexico is one of the largest trading partners of the US and a great deal of the money that is earned by illegals is spent either in the US or in Mexico by purchasing goods from the US.
NAFTA (and now CAFTA) were deals cooked up by big business to make huge profits at the expense of ordinary people on both sides of the border. Corporate interests are what determine government policy and as long as there is a profit to be made, any government statements about dealing with this problem are just lip service.

The reason it is $4.00 is because there is a minimum weage that holds the price of illegals down in the marketplace. Employers only have so much money. The minimum wage forces the employer to pay less than productive workers the same as productive workers, and...let's the unproductive "hide" their lack of ambition behind that false "wage." If there were no minimum wage, and welfare was 5 weeks,... no longer, what you would see is people willing to work...and there would no longer be a market for the illegals, and they would either improve themselves in order to compete, or go home.
Same with the native worker. Now, he/she has to either work, improve, or find a charity to foot the bills. With added capital now available the owner can hire productive employees, and expand business, thus hiring more people, and soon...as quickly as it began the need for welfare would become virtually non-existent.
The illegals would no longer have a market for their labor, and would stay home. This would decrease crime as well, both from illegals, and those who will not, or cannot work.
Get rid of government regulations at the federal level. Let the states or local authorities handle any injustices, and you would once again see the USA return to its place of prominance.
Otherwise...we keep doing what 100% of ALL previous socialist countries have done. Destroy ourselves from within. The history is clear. We already know what works as per the history of the USA 1776-1900. You can mark the economic decline from along in that period of time, but exacerbated by the passage of the federal reserve act in 1913, which gave private bankers control of the money supply...which they promptly stole. (the gold that backed our money).
There is only one way that will work. All we need do is do it again. If not, then we will end up on the rubbish heap of history like 100% of the socialist countries before us.
