Geraldo: Loaded And At Large
Preparing for the launch of his new show, Geraldo sets the tone: “This is a show about people — their stories, up close and personal. Whether it’s painful or uplifting, it’s real life, and we will be there, firsthand. No one will take the story further. No one will work harder or risk more. That’s our pledge. And that’s my promise…to you.”
And in another brilliant marketing move, Loaded At Large producer Craig Rivera was arrested on suspicion of Drunken Driving Wednesday, apparently while on location for Geraldo's upcoming coverage of the Pamela Vitale murder.
In a startling development:
"Craig Rivera confirmed with the Times on Tuesday that Mark Fuhrman, the famed Los Angeles police investigator ..., has been working with the new show, and was also in town to help produce the feature on Vitale's murder".
It's rumored that Fox attorneys are said to be contemplating a defense based upon their suspicions that former Detective Mark Furhman planted the alcohol in Rivera's system.
And that, as they say, is today's cable news.

Wow....just when you think cable "news" can't get any stranger ...it does.

They should let Geraldo look for alcohol in Craig
Rivera's system........ Then they wouldn't find
a drop. :)

Halloween, Isn't that appopriate? Did anyone notice Beth Twitty in the trailer?
Posted by: Colorado | Friday, October 28, 2005 at 12:27 AM
Thanks Colorado. I didn't see the trailer, was there anything from the Vitale murder? That's why I'll be watching his new show.
There are so few here (even Dan?) interested in this case, even after the mother was arrested today. I don't get it, there's so much about this murder to talk about.
It's been all NH and Beth and the same old, same old for so long now. Isn't anyone else SICK of it and ready for something NEW?

Thank God Geraldo is probably in the twilight or sunset of his career. I just can't take much more of his smarmy ego driven reporting. I think he needs a time-out and made to sit in a corner on a stool for 3 years.

Hey, kin,
The website has added a trailer for Monday's show. The two subjects it features are New Orleans after Katrina and the Vitale murder.

I am interested in getting Geraldo involved in an investigation concerning our Governor Huckabee of Arkansas and an article that ran in last weeks Arkansas Democrat-Gazette about him being flown on his trips to conventions and other meetings by a group from Warm Springs, Ar. called the "The Lord's Ranch". According to the articles, he has received 8.5 million dollars in flights from this organization, but states there is no conflict of interest here. Why? This group gets all or most of their funding through the state and has a reputation of abusing the children they are supposed to be helping. Over 90% of the boys and girls at this "ranch" are black and at any opportunity, they try to escape. Local law officials know of this, but due to the abundance of "protection from higher ups", they are unable to do anything to help the children who claim to being held prisoner and made to work for no wages. It is a known fact in our area that the "Lord's Ranch" buys any business, empty house or property that comes open and uses the children from their ranch to do all of the work on these for free. This organization gets government funding to care and rehabilitate these troubled youth, but instead are using them for their own purposes. Mr. Bud Suhl and his son Ted own the ranch and everyone in the Pocahontas, Ar. know that bad things go on out there, but noone knows how to get to the botton of it. Such as, why are Generals from South American Countries flown in for special meetings and trips to such places as Thialand, under the quize of business meetings? These are no everyday trips and visits, these are generals from South American Armies, and I even have a short video clip of one of their trips to Thialand and Vietnam. What does this have to do with the care of these poor children? Whenever the runaways are picked up by our local officers and prosecutors such as David Throesch, they beg for help, but none is there for them. Can you see your way to look into this? Everyone in our area would laud your praises for ever. Also Mr. Bud Suhl has a criminal background to be looked into also, he was in prison in California for imbezellement before his son brought him here to us and opened this deplorable place. I feel with your contacts that you could get to the bottom of this. I am just a poor old disabled woman, but I know when an injustice is being done to our children. I cannot tolerate it and to think that our Governor, who I actually voted for, is involved with them is deplorable. I also have knowledge of "The Lord's Ranch" giving free flights to Blanch Lambert Lincoln, Mr. Rockerfeller and other state officials. The worst part of the whole situation is the trust that is given these people to care for troubled youths. They are sent youths from Chicago, Ill., Texas and Arkansas that I know of. There may be other states also, but I am not sure of them and do not want to state anything that cannot be verified. Our community feels of this ranch as a cult that is operating above the law and abusing and using the youth of America to further their own greed. The way I see it, this is a state of modern-day slavery. I am white, but I pray for the well-being of all of these young men and women who average 16-19 years of age. Why cannot something be done to stop this and our government officials involvements in them? This is no secret organization, but due to the umbrella of protection that seems to be covering them, nothing is done. Anyone in our areas would be willing to speak to you about them, in fact I know of many other instances that people would gladly tell you of. Please, please, try to help these young people and unravel the trail of money leading to the seat of our state government. I thank you for reading this and I know that if you look into this you will get a big shock at what is going on in the Heartland of America, the Bible Belt, under the quize of religion, and the corruption of our governor and other officials.. Thank you, Anna Hedge, P.O. Box 225, 140 Walnut St., Biggers, Ar. I have no phone, but you can reach me at my daughters home, 1-870-769-9227. Please find it in your schedule to help us!!! Thanks again, Anna.

I was a resident of the Ranch about 9 years ago, and I'm seeking therapy because of that place alone. Anyone with any questions is welcome to contact me.

Forgot to leave my address. EK2012@aol.com. Oh, and many things Anna said are true. I'm not sure about the political this and thats, but I worked in one of their businessess for free, been hit on and propositioned by staff members for sex, seen other residents been verbally and physically abused, starved, the list goes on.

I was at the lord's ranch over ten years ago.I was verbally abuse from many of the female staff. There was a situation between a male staff and I. I told Bud and Shirley both but they tormented me by telling me I was lying. It has scarred me in so many ways and the staff member had no consequence. I was the one in so much trouble for telling the truth!! God wants adults to protect the children. Not hurt them. I remember if you did something wrong the physical consequence was you had to lay on the floor face down, whith your arms on your side while they raised your arms completly up trying to make you double jointed. The lords Ranch can and will get away with murder!!!

Yeah, I was there in the early 90's. I saw terrible things while I was there. Terrible things. I know of one boy, who was there while I was there, who later committed suicide because of the trauma inflicted upon him from that God forsaken place.
Bud would come out to California and preach to a well-to-do neighborhood congregation about the healing capacity of his program and so the spoiled sons and daughters of the well-to-do, who were really only guilty of teenage rebellion and some mild (pot) drug use, would be transplanted to Arkansas. Once there hardened kids from Chicago's infamous Cabrini Green neighborhood who were, as often as not, Latin Kings and Vice Lords, would make easy prey out of the kids from California.
Bud would also empty out private pay mental institutions and bring those kids into his program under the auspices that a faith based program will sort out the problem. Ever seen a multi-personality cold turkey off Thorizene? Thank your lucky stars you haven't...
For me I escaped twice from there. In one instance a facility member helped me escape by buying me a bus ticket out of Pocahontas (roughly 26 miles from the Ranch if memory serves) and I laid up for six days making my way until I got pinched. The cops took me to a "Lord's Ranch friendly" jail where the Jailer, a man crippled by Polio whose name I have forgotten, locked me into an adult facility in an isolation cell for 24 hours and then returned me to the Ranch.
I'm a right hard bastard and have no need of therapy because I had earned my little trip through hell there in Warm Springs, AR. That said, I cannot tell you how angry I am, not for me but for those who should have never been there in the first place. I have five kids and have been married for a decade. I will never farm out my duties as a parent. My kids will answer to me and my wife alone.
As I said such terrible things were done in that place; The Lord's Ranch is a blasphemy and an abomination before God...
