Did Greta just say she was going to talk about why Aruban police are launching a new investigation to see if Beth Twitty was conducting a multi-million dollar scam?

Update: Beth Twitty, Mother of missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway claims to be upset because Aruban authorities will not place a request to the FBI for additional boats and materials needed to conduct a search.

Twitty is concerned that Chief Dompig is losing focus on the perpetrators who gang raped her daughter. The two went on to briefly discuss Internet rumors circulating about Ms. Twitty.

at this point i would be disappointed if law enforcement didn't look at. it would not be much of an investigation if they didn't

I had one spark of hope left that there was SOMEONE in law enforcement there who was going to TRY to do their job. But no it seems they're blowing smoke again.

It seems now they just was to shut up mom by trying to discredit her. THAT'S why they want to talk to the other students. THAT'S why they want another statement (after Beth said they already alter the first one she gave.) I'm afraid this is a hunt to point the finger anywhere but at the obvious suspects! Come on, I can give credence to a lot of possibilities, but the idea that any member of the family is doing this for profit is ridiculous. The sort of investigation they are doing is VERY exspensive. The planes, hotels, lawyers, investigators, etc. all cost money, and a lot of it at that. Unless they are taking the money and using it for illicit reasons, like buying a million dollar mansion, then I don't see how anyone can think they are running a scam.

I don't think anyone is really worried about it, in fact Beth seemed to make a point of saying she is trying to get in contact with Dompig. Of course, it almost seemed like Dompig was making the accusation, not just looking into the possibility of it.

That's what Greta said. Dompig said no such thing.
As far as not calling the FBI, has it occured to the
Twittys that the FBI might not want to spend more
huge amounts of time and money for even -more- water
searches (c'mon, after 5 months?) and they don't want
to provide boats and trucks and equipment for a case
that isn't even in their jurisdiction? Isn't that
what the rescue fund is for? Maybe she should ask
Condi for help.

As far as the donation money, apparently it's not
being spent on rescue and recovery. Beth said it
was being spent on airfare and hotels for friends
and family, her many high priced lawyers, as she
tries to force LE to do things her way and keeping
a Medi-Vac jet on the tarmac for 2 days on the
off-chance they'd find Natalee in a crack house,
just because LE told them that a lot of girls end
up there. Apparently there are no hospitals in
Aruba to treat drug patients. All the searchers
are unpaid volunteers whose organizations get
donations to provide for their expenses.

Sure, I hope that they do eliminate false claims. However, I don't think it is very likely at all that this is a scam. And I don't see any reason at this point to support Dompig's accusation, though I must acknowledge I haven't seen his words myself

By the way, maybe someone remembers this, but I seem to remember that another American who went missing in Aruba turned out not to be missing, but instead part of an insurance scam. Does anyone else remember this?

Thats weird, for 2 weeks now, on every cable station Beth could be on...she made it PLAIN she was returning to Aruba on November 1st. Something about her brother is going with her, but had to wait until he could take the time off work, or something like that.

How many of you heard BETH state she was returning to Aruba on November 1st?

Beth has an inordinate sense of the importance of this case. To ask the FBI to conduct an extensive water search when they are engaged with terrorism here is a bit excessive.

Furthermore, the fact that Dompig's questions about the fund are now being twisted as an accusation once again shows lack of good faith on the part of Twitty Media and Greta.

YOU do not know where the money came from that paid for the truck. It could be financed for all you know about it.

Money donated to any cause such as this has a strict guideline and any misuse would certainly be reported.

name one search team BETH hired???? Dave has been the only one bringging searchers to Aruba and doing any searching himself beth has donme nothng but sit on tv and go to celebrity fundraisers Beth has not hired anyone to do a thing and yes search teams are expensive that is why ARUBA paid Texas equisearch 20 grand in donations and covered all their room and board while they were there not to mention the multitude of free things beth and jug got.....and ARUBA paid for all the heavy equipment used in the searches unless it was donated......beth has received MILLIONS and I have not seen one thing she has to show for it except falsified documents, phoney witnesses and victims and lots of shopping

The girl was befriended and kidnapped later on after Joran left her...then removed from the Island. The boys are too stupid to have murdered her and concealed the body in such a short time. The Aruban police and FBI know this and that's why this sad tale is coming to an end.
The real villain took the gal to another country.
