I'm sure many have heard of the major earthquake in Pakistan by now. Bob has a round up post which includes some local blogs so you can read news and updates from the ground level to some extent.

Just heard from a friend in the South..he works for Mareitta..says no damage there and he and all there are ok..good to have net isnt' it?

The earthquake in this area can only be catastophic beyond our comprehension. Already pummeled by war - and one that I don't understand in the least BTW - now this? Rugged terrain too. Is there no end to the suffering going on around the world?
There is also devastation in Guatemala from Hurricane Stan..... many dead, displaced here, too.
