I live in the Southwestern Part of Virginia and I believe the death penalty can only be given if Capital Murder proven. That is another crime against Taylor along with Murder. Something like Rape and Murder or Robbery and Murder(he did take her car and change plates).

I believe he is thinking that is just what he did . BF's tale of events, was not to clear his conscience. It was because in his mind, he could manipulate the LE. He has done that all his life, I would like to bet. In his mind, he believes he succeeded. Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind.

I agree, he is trash. And yes, I feel sorry for BF's family, what a nightmare this must be for them. But, that's their reality. Taylor's families reality is much worse.

"Accidental" death can be forgiven with time. BF crossed that line of forgiveness when he left Taylor in a dried up ravine, exposed to the elements for a month, and then attempted to carry on with his life back in Richmond.. like everything was A'OK.

Not to mention the fact that he did an interview and took jabs at Taylor's character and in his own perverse way, toyed with her mother.

We need to look at the way we deal with these types of maggots because obviously if the problem is escalating then the solution isn't working. I propose that all rapists/pedophiles/murderers should neither be put to death nor imprisoned, but rather, surgically blinded then put on welfare. How many blind rapists/pedophiles/murderers are there? Has anyone even heard of ONE? This would not only be a more effective way of permanently controlling these maggots, it would also prove more cost effective to the taxpayer, as it is more expensive to house a maggot in prison than to put them on welfare. Another encouraging prospect is that we could probably look forward to a high suicide rate among these maggots after their operation, so we probably would not have to support them for too long in many cases. Think of all the survivors of such crimes who end up killing themselves. Or spending the rest of their lives struggling with suicidal feelings. Nobody cares enough about them to fight to change the "justice" system which has failed them so miserably. I've had years to give this an incredible amount of thought. Thanks to the 2 men who assaulted me as a young woman, I miscarried the baby I was carrying, so all that time I would've spent raising a child has been free to contemplate other things. To hell with objectivity. I want my baby and my life back. Go ahead and flame me, nothing anyone can do to me is worse than what has already been done, and what I have to live with every day of my life. I know nobody has ever given 2 sh*ts about me but since you all feel so strongly about Taylor Behl, maybe you can *DO SOMETHING* about the problem instead of merely prattling. Change the way we deal with these people, and watch the crime rates fall. DO something about this! Over and OUT!

It still seems very odd to me that within 24 hours (was it less?) of hearing the news there was no cause of death from the coroner, old Benny all of a sudden is demanding to tell the cops what happened--his version of course. And this version attempts to cast some stigma on the victim. It's just all too convenient. Why didn't he come forward after her body was found Oct. 5? He knew it was her the instant there was a report of a body found. He sat in jail for what, 7, 8 days and said nothing? Why? Why wait? Why wait until after the coroner's statement? Maybe he wanted to make sure the version he gave couldn't be proven wrong. Maybe that's why he waited.
Has anyone heard anything about the bag and whether a facial impression was lifted?
If it pans out that the police buy into the "rough sex" scenerio and there's evidence to back it, there will be a large segment of our society (right wing )that will think she somehow played with fire and got burnt. Someone on this list went on this long diatribe recently about "New Sodom," whatever, that the Lord took out New Orleans and "Calipornia" is next. I don't know whether it's relevant or not, I just offer that. I don't agree with this religious view but in America everyone has a right to his or her opinion. Unlike the case with Joran, I belive this guy is guilty. But i have few thoughts.

Death during intercorse is possible. Sometimes it works in reverse. Much older man "dies of pleasure" in the arms of a young woman..... It happened quite often. But I never heard of a woman "being afraid and hiding the body". When it is not their fault, they usually call the police imediately, screaming "help! this guy is dead"..... (well, unless they are prostitutes or on drugs....... then they might not want authorities involved).

So that makes me think of a possibility, this guy might have been skared of the fact the the girl is "a minor", and he can go to jail for statuatory rape. And! "a girl dying during sex with a much older man" would be viwed a lot different by polic than "older man dying in the arms of a younger woman"..

He is still an "ass hat", but there maybe, just maybe some "reasons" for his actions.

Most of BF's friends are supporting him and are teenagers that have no values. Anyone with positive values would clearly reject BF. This has not happened and many people are trying to talk sense into kids that have no understanding of what they are involved in. BF has a long history of crime and I do not feel sorry for BF's friends. BF's friends will have lost nothing when BF goes to prison. On the other hand, the Behl family has lost everything. BF's friends will move on. Do not feel sorry for them.

Wow, that seems a bit unfair. I don't know BF, or his "teen" friends. I do however know how teens think. These kids have no comprehension of what a murderer is, no clue what a manipulatior is, other than the pushy girl in 8th garde that could talk you into anything. Being a trusting 17, 18, 19 year old might sound stupid to a grown-up. But I hardly think it label these teen's without "morals". Reality sucks somethimes, but usually, we learn that with age. Let's hope these kids have parent's who can help them see that reality.

I wish I knew at 18 what I know now. But then again, I might have missed out meeting some really neat people.

Fawley's story that he killed Taylor accidently in Diggs has to do with venue shopping and a defense against premeditation. The case will be tried where the death occured. Maybe there's an advantage for Fawley to be tried in Mathews. Also if he dumped her a few yards from where he had sex with her, he could make a case that it was accidental. If he killed her in Richmond and transported the body to Diggs, then one could say the death was not accidental and he could be tried in Richmond.

Taylor was basically the same size as Ben and I really can't see him overpowering her unless she was drugged, tied, or he had a weapon. (though one should not underestimate socio/psychopathic rage.)

I feel it did occur in his room while she was restrained to his "bondage bed." I don't believe her hands were free to prevent the plasic bag from going over her head or ligature from slipping around her neck. I also do not believe it was an accident.

Well, I agree that Ben is scum. Even if he is telling the truth (and I really have no reason to trust him at this point), his illegal and morally reprehensible activity led to Taylor's death. Then, he let this family and all her friends hold out hope when he knew she was dead. Yeah, that's pretty much covered by my basic definition of "scum."

I want to make it clear up front that I have no sympathy for Ben. I want him locked up for the rest of his days. I don't care if he has to take a daily beating or whatever. I am totally against the death penalty. Yes, even in this case...even if it were premeditated...even if it were also a rape case. It's simply not our place to take a life...no matter whose it is.

Hey, whatever happens to Benny in jail is his problem...and his nightmare. I have no sympathy for his sorry butt. Perhaps he shouldn't have the right to live. I can understand that. That's not a choice you and I should be able to make.

Many people say those of us opposed to the death penalty are soft on criminals. I haven't found that to be the case. I know I certainly don't want to give these people any of the benefits of normal life. The prison systems in this country continue to grow in terms of security. I say lock this guy up where he never sees daylight again. Then, he's just a memory to us the same as if he were dead...only we didn't have to become what he is in order to accomplish that goal.

If we are to believe him, and I really do not, but if we do, by his own admission he left her in the woods because he was 'scared.' Yet not so scared to pass out missing posters and in the same night impune Taylor's character in the CBS TV6 interview. Actions so devoid of empathy for another human being they can only be characterized as evil.

Others who know Ben, cling to a false idea of him. That he has some redeeming quality. Lots of people trusted Joseph Edward Duncan thinking he was reformed, he created a persona that they believed. Even though he brutally raped a 14 year old boy. He came clean with the people that trusted him and told him that he was sick and reformed. I dont blame those people for trusting him, although I personally would never trust a child rapist myself. Some like to see only the good in people, while I am guilty of that at times myself too. It takes a while for me to shut people out.
