Update: The body of Andrea Arriagada, 18, was found inside her green Toyota Corrolla in a remote wooded area in Wright County, just outside of Monticello, Minn. Foul Play was not suspected, authorities said. Police said the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, expected to be completed later this week.
A heads up from missing and abducted as regards a Minnesota teen. I read that police will be accessing her computer looking for any leads.
She was supposed to head to St. Cloud, Minn. early Monday morning, but she, and a family car, have vanished.
"I just ... I just want her to come home," said Paula Arriagada, Andrea Arriagada's sister. "It is a nightmare," said Dr. Jorge Arriagada, Andrea Arriagada's father.
"I can't find the words to describe how I feel. All I want is to see her to know that she's OK."

On my gosh, they found her. -----
"A missing teen was found dead in her car just before noon Saturday, police said.

One of the articles said she took her rifle with her---a suicide? how awful for her family.

My thoughts and prayers for her parents who now only not dealing with the loss of their child but having to deal with a possible suicide as well.

How sad, her parents took her cell phone away, too much use. She removed a shotgun from the home and vanished. Found, no foul play. What the hell.
Have to ask yourself what are we doing to our kids, when a shotgun can replace the absence of a cell phone?

helmut, what on earth are you talking about? My daughter has lost her cellphone at least twice for overuse. Don't you think killing yourself is rather an extreme reaction. There has to be more to this that just the phone.

Yes, obviously, however... overuse of the cellphone would generally make me think that something was going on where she had to be on the phone constantly (anyone else ever had a four hour long crying argument?)

I just feel for her parents in this too. they are going to blame themselves. How could things be so awful in her mind that she might have killed herself?

The higher the pedestal, the longer the fall. I go to school with her, and she was the typical straight-A student, good at absolutely EVERYTHING she did, and loved by just about everyone. She had a seemingly perfect life, but there had to have been a ton of pressure to BE that perfect, to BE that successful. It's so unlike her that a cell phone would push her to do something so incredibly irresponsible, because that's just not her. It was just the tip of the iceburg, I'm guessing. She was on top of the world, so she had a long way down.

I can't believe it took me 2 years to find this site. But I was pissed off when I read some of the comments. I went to high school with Andy and she was in my group of friends. She was a bright, outgoing, and spontaneous young girl. But it was obvious she had a lot of baggage to carry. She was frequently made fun of by people in our grade, whether she herself knew it or not, I'm sure she sensed it. She wasn't too incredibly close to anyone and all throughout high school, there had been conflict between her parents and her.
I can't believe that people would assume that she killed herself over a cellphone. That was not what did it. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
