This old post won't be for everyone - it isn't news. Maybe posting the announcement for Taylor Behl's funeral arrangements got me to remembering I made it back at one point when my writing was feeling blocked.
I had a monkey on my back - maybe he's sitting on my shoulder tonight, I don't know. But I thought I'd link back to it just the same for some reason. Sometimes it's good to remember our own experience and even pain, lest we become too callous to the sufferings of others.

for you, a simple..thank you, Dan.
Rest in peace, Frankie, and know that you indeed have left your mark.

I grew up with a Frankie, too. My Frankie didn't die, but I often wonder how life has treated him since I last saw him. I hope that his good heart has served him well; I suspect it has.

Great job. Our experiences, both good and bad, enhance our wonderous time on earth. One can only sorrow for those whose enhancement is shortened.
