Maybe it has something to do with blogging. ; ) Roker took a header in a hurricane, video here - and didn't much like it when print journalists suggested such grandstanding antics trivialize storm coverage.
Roker responded, um, in his words: Right Here!!!
I’ve got your grandstand right here.
Stop whining. Just because your medium is irrelevant when it comes to a breaking story like a hurricane doesn’t mean you have to trash others who are out there covering it.
Ha! Welcome to blogging, big guy. Don't let the key board hit you in the a$$.

And what was really funny was perky little Katie got caught on camera LHAO. AL shouldn't have lost all that weight that lightweight!

It is very funny but, Al Roker is really a lovely person. I feel kind of bad for him. But, it is interesting that someone from that program with the aging cupie doll got a taste of the medicine they dish out on a regular basis. I stopped watching them, watch fox and friends. Couldn't stand watching miss self righteous age...and not gracefully.

Hey Al, you WERE grandstanding. ha ha. Toni Jennings was only off by three miles brother. You and the other media idiots feel compelled to stand out there and SHOW US how strong the wind is. Okay AL, WE KNOW. That's why we don't stand on balconys three miles inland because of flying debris. The kind that slams into you so hard you'll be eating from a straw and wouldn't need that gastric bypass. Lt. Governor Toni Jennings was addressing what we see all the time. Idiot news anchors who MUST stand in the howling winds to get air time. The war, well no choice. They go where the action is and it happens to be a war. They don't stand in the middle of a battle with bullets teasing their hairline. * Better watch who he's dissing on Toni, she's a well respected, long time servant of the state with deep roots in Florida.

Sounds like a challenge. Which blogger would be good to send to cover the next big disaster?

They are out of control. Just think how high their ratings will be when one of them gets decapitated on live TV. It's bound to happen.

Isn't that the truth! I really thought it was going to happen to Steve Harrigan (sp?) during one of the recent hurricanes when part of a roof flew past his head. I guess these people must be getting paid really big bucks to risk decapitation from a flying piece of steel.
