"The pages below show prints I made from processing film I found in old cameras. In many cases the exposed films were over fifty years old. You are seeing them for the first time as they were lost by the photographers that took these images. . . .

That was interesting!
Thanks for the link!

Definitely cool! Maybe there is hope for my 30+ rolls of film that I never developed from many years ago. If not, I'll be out a small fortune just to find out. ;)

I recently had an opportunity to go thu our old family vacation slides from 40 years ago........... all neatly catalogued in slide trays, lol........... plus A Lot of posing in front of the house, backyard, at historic site markers, etc. And I discovered that the photographer, my dad, had a real talent for composition and subject, tho at the time I was bored to tears when forced to sit thru these cliche social gatherings.
I tried to sell the trays at a yard sale but Everyone wanted the Pictures! A local artist is even having old slide shows based on themes like "Mexico - 1950's". They are a sweet, nostalgic window to a romantic past most of us have forgotten or never known.
I especially liked the colored ones that turned redish with age. Very surreal.

Dan, How about a 'very cool' blog section? More fun than Kanye West or bird flu.........

Fascinating windows into the past. Lot's of junk shops and garage sales in NZ sell old cameras for next to nothing, I might start buying them the next time I'm doing the rounds.
Thanks.

How very cool was that? Just spent an hour looking at your pictures, your captions...some of them made me laugh out loud!
I especially liked the brother and sister poem, very touching...
Awesome hobby you have. Thanks for taking the time to share them with others.

Did you see the cool cross-reference section between the old cameras and their pictures? Nice reference for after thrift shopping. Happy hunting!
