To tell you this guy may have made a bad career move. Rumor has it he carries his research equipment, a little plastic whirly bird, under his tinfoil hat. But, hey ... I would too for a book deal. ; )
The Pocatello native made his final Channel 6 forecast Thursday night, leaving a job he's held for nine years in order to pursue his weather theories on a full-time basis.
Since Katrina, Stevens has been in newspapers across the country where he was quoted in an Associated Press story as saying the Yakuza Mafia used a Russian-made electromagnetic generator to cause Hurricane Katrina in a bid to avenge the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima.
He was a guest on Coast to Coast, a late night radio show that conducts call-in discussions on everything from bizarre weather patterns to alien abductions. On Wednesday, Stevens was interviewed by Fox News firebrand Bill O'Reilly.

I used to do a lot of serious driving at night and Art Bell was the only thing on the radio.
I had to listen to something, otherwise the road noise would put me to sleep and I'd wake up in a ditch.
One night an old bat with an English accent came on and started ranting and raving all about about the 'Hollow Earth'.
She went on for 2 &*^%$ hours about a civilization in the middle of the planet and Art Bell just kept baiting her to go on and on and on.
I have never listened to Coast to Coast since, I decided right then and there I needed a day job.
AND I was RAISED in Idaho.
Lots of spuds there.
This guy is one.

That's one conspiracy junkie! I read a book months ago that incorporated this theory about weather modification in it's plot (not a good read by the way) and the research taking place. Still crazy though, I wonder where he gets his info.

I am not sure if you are aware of this, but there is a senate bill (786) in committee that proposes to change the charter of NOAA in such way that it would force them to stop public access to NOAA data as it would put NOAA in competition with private weather data providers.

there are a number of site talking about opposing such legislation,
