The link below has a solid run down on the issues with Michael Brown's resume. Just as I said I had issues with the Dems politicizing Katrina - I don't much care for it when Presidents slot friends into jobs without a thorough vetting. Clearly the Bush administration has had some serious issues in this regard already. I believe the Kerik affair comes to mind.
Pundit Guy points out that they all do it, but I don't see that as much of an excuse. It's things like this which make people lose any trust, or respect for Government as a whole.

Oh thank you for some balance. Holy Grail I'm so
sick of the (yes) MSM saying his name no less than 30 times an hour.

I want to know what Michael Chertoff's qualifications to run Homeland Security are. He's just as much to blame as Mike Brown. Who was his college roommate friends with that was friends with George Bush? I read somewhere that Homeland Security = Friendly Fire. God help us all.

Thanks for your willingness to do this, Dan. Problem with this country is that too many folk are classic cases of the tail wagging the dog. They let their ideology drive how they perceive an issue, instead of allowing the issue to shape their ideology.
So it is great that you are willing to criticize Brown and Kerik.
Me? I tend to vote for more liberal candidates, though I don't march lock step. I've been keeping my mouth shut about Bush's "responsibility" for the rescue, for while I would prefer a bit more of the Trumanesque "Buck Stops Here' attitude, I also know that it is much more complicated than simply blaming it on a single individual or policy. It annoys me to no end the way Democrats are selectively finding fault only with Bush and the Republicans for this.
Thanks again, Dan. It pissed me off when Clinton pardoned Marc Rich, it infuriated me when he lied about Lewinsky (even though Starr's prosecution did end up going overboard), so I appreciate it when a conservative is willing to do the same.
