In reviewing the postings and activities of Ben Fawley aka Skulz, it seems increasingly clear that some aspects of his abduction story don't add up. He claimed he was harassed by a former lover, yet he himself indicated that it was she who sought the break up some time ago. Other aspects of his behavior and statements may be even more troubling. Clearly he was into Bondage and Discipline, if not Sado-Masochism and attended at least one convention on the subject with friend Mike Cino.
:: woke up saturday with Erin after spending the night with her. I had a dream where everything was right again, that we hadn't had the misunderstanding. I spent the day helping Erin Move to her new place, and it was ok. It hurts wanting to be with someone so much knowing they say they want to be with you, yet they don't. I will try my best to give Erin the space she asked for, though being apart from her is so very hard for me. Time with Erin was something very special to me, I hope it isn't truly over. I hope but hope is often that only known by fools. I have to walk away from Erin I know, but I hope Erin will think about dating me still as she said she will. I can't say what will happen, I just have to try and just let what will be happen and move on with it.
In addition to the convention mentioned above, he also seems to describe either his bed as a sort of bondage apparatus, or was referring to perhaps another piece of furniture that he owned.
****there are two others but my 'bondage bed' is about to see some use as a photo location for another photographer. So I need to clear out the BMX bike, me and other stuff.
(EDIT~~ Yea, bondage superheros in my bed :-p ~~ Total hot superbabe action here at the M Street Studio)
Among other disturbing comments from Fawley aka Skulz is a reference involving sex with a girl who appears as though it is likely Taylor Behl - sometimes referred to as "T" in his journal.
The time spent with “T” was a lot of fun, and I will treasure that as something very special. I will also harbor the hope that I will get the chance to go there again with her, though I am almost certain that will never be. If I do get that chance again I do have something in mind that I would like to see if she enjoys.
It's admittedly only speculation, but there are some factors one could put together to draw a very troubling picture here. Fawley is clearly someone who had trouble following the rules - that's obvious from the many criminal charges he has faced over the years - charges which include trespassing, assault and a large number of motor vehicle violations. We also know he had no problem with stealing license plates, along with who knows what else.
Respected practitioners of Bondage and Discipline rely on a credo of Safe, Sane and Consensual to define what activities they may engage in with an approving partner. Is it possible whatever Fawley had in mind for Taylor Behl, should he ever get the chance, fell out of bounds of those guidelines? As I said, it's speculation, at best. People have died practicing such things as breath play, a form of faux asphyxiation, as well as other activities associated with Bondage and Discipline.
Also, along with the usual references to fire in his writings, I found the two comments below curious, too.
I quit the race and shot my self in the foot this past weekend only to go back to the shop and burn it down with me inside and blocked the exit when I dumped the gas on the floor. My dumb-butt did something very stupid, yet the one person who should hate me the most for it doesn’t. I was so stupid, and it was right there in front of me to see
While he wasn't speaking literally there, the language of an arsonist is fairly clear. And I wonder what it was he kept in his basement?
I have an idea, I am clearing off the old MP3 hard drive as I have backed that up. I will use that drive to reboot the server and the hard drive I ordered will then go in place of the old MP3 drive and all will be well again. If not I will just have to go down to the sub-basement of M Street Studio here and pull out my kill-o-death ray and melt down a city or three. (bold mine)The next step I think is to get this person I know to sit down and turn the Windows box I was trying to load Linux on into a Linux box. ::...
The entry below is from Steve Huff's The Dark Side, while the images have been removed, we know at one point Fawley had posted images he took of some canisters marked as though they were dangerous and possibly flammable chemicals.
Fawley also seems to have a thing for fire. His personal Livejournal is titled, Playing With Fire ~ The trash of a crazy x-con Check out this entry, made in March of this year. There you will find a photo of several older canisters of some sort, one of them with a skull emblem on a tag, and Fawley's comment below the photo, "...It's gonna burn........nothin ya can do about it, its just gonna happen again and again....".
While none of the above can be considered evidence, and as admitted, is speculative at best, it isn't hard to understand while Fawley is considered a person of interest in the disappearance of Taylor Behl.

Dan........
Anyway to get an interview with Erin?
I think "she" holds some pieces to this puzzle, although preliminary.

Missed something........
What are you getting at? Fire extinguishers? A meth lab....what?

You gotta wonder if he might have filled some fire extinguishers with something flammable and placed them in places where they might have been used by some innocent person that wouldn't be aware of the flammability. Fire marshall ought to check that out.

Hmmmm...........not too many people would have thought of that.
Could we be dealing with a prior/present employee or volunteer of the Fire Dept?

Captain Joe.....
Still there?
Your thoughts are intriguing!

IMO.......
He was running a meth lab, if anything.

Check out this photo of fire extinguishers. He says a lot of weird things about fires, locking himself in and starting a fire etc. Plus he was questioned about starting VCU fires.

If he is running a meth lab it would be in one of those remote abandoned buildings. He does drink Mountain Dew LOL, the favorite drink of meth heads. He doesn't sleep very much, like a meth head. He's photographed marijuana and other drugs,

Dan,
Thanks for the extensive observations. This guy is trouble no matter what!
"I do have something in mind that I would like to see if she enjoys."
This part really concerns me. There is just enough here to make me think he had something very unusual in mind, as you suggest.
This indicates that it is not something you would normally expect a girl to "enjoy!" I don't even know if he really means SHE would "enjoy" it. From what we've seen of HIM it looks more like the "enjoyment" he has in mind is mostly his!

Oh Captain Joe....
What makes you think a meth lab can only be run in an old abandoned building?
Wake up!

I noticed this post of his early on (about a week or so ago) in following this story. At that time, I posted over at websleuths.com, a link to his 'fire' post and my thoughts about his wording and his fascination with fire. Especially his fascination with the fire at VCU. Revenge seems to be a great motivator for Ben. He does not take it instantly (the revenge) but he simmers for a while and then lashes out in his revenge. So I dont think he is impulsive, but rather long suffering and then aggressive when the last string snaps. This is important to consider in our analysis of his relationship with Taylor. Has their relationship been close enough, volatile enough and long enough for him to have 'suffered' in some way that he snapped his final thread? I dont think so..
Another MORE interesting piece about this 'fire' post is its timing and his use of certain words. Revenge being his greatest motivator, he had serious 'issues' with VCU as a student there and then beyond. This post comes exactly one year after the GREAT FIRE at VCU- which by the way he photographed. Many criminals- especially arsonists- celebrate the anniversary of their crimes. His tone in his 'fire' post "Its gonna happen again and again...ain't nothing you can do about it..." and his direct reference to fire "its gonna burn.." could reflect a historical perspective. The question then is, was he responsible for the VCU fire?

I saw that you mentioned the trespassing charge that I lodged against Ben in your blog, if you would like to know more about it feel free to contact me at any time.

Does anyone know if the police can charge Fawley with statutory rape? I heard the Richmond police chief speak (9/25 on FoxNews), Fawley has admitted to a "physical relationship" with Taylor. Don't know about VA law, but in Indiana that's statutory rape even when it's consenting. If that's the case in VA, wouldn't the police department or Taylor's mom be able to file this charge, or does it have to be Taylor herself (even though there is an apparent confession of the "physical relationship")
Also, I'm not sure if VA has adopted "Jessica's Law", but this charge could put this predator away for a long time regardless of the outcome of remainder of the case. (could keep him in jail in the meantime as well, as this would presumably make him a more dangerous individual to the courts, i.e. more dangerous than child porn possession/distribution/ possible creation).

As we locals keep saying, the Fire Department's investigation conclusively found that the VCU fire was due to a construction worker throwing his lit cigarette down a trash chute--that's the facts.
I think Ben is sick and guilty (of way more than we'll probably ever know), but the VCU fire is not on his list. If y'all read some stories on the fire at the RTD, you'd see that the fire started in the afternoon, while all the workers were there; not characteristics of arson. In order to start the fire, Ben would have had to walk past dozens of construction workers who would have not only seen him, but kept him from going any further--the site was off limits. They sure would have seen him throw a match in the centrally located trash chute, but instead they DID see one of their co-workers thrown his lit cigarette in the trash chute.
