"In a country where we're all having trouble and struggling with what is the truth and who we are and why everybody is lying to us, I liked the idea of making a really honest picture," the Academy Award-winning actress said at the Toronto International Film Festival.
"(At a certain age) if you don't know who you are, there is a serious problem, as we can see by some of our leaders," said MacLaine.

Mind you, this is the same person who seduced Charlemagne in a former life, owns several Malibu properties - which probably have great security to keep the low-lifes out, while she's off hawking a film in Canada. I gather she's worth millions, yet people still go hungry and wet in New Orleans.
