How about letting the private sector pay for rebuilding. Hardly sounds Republican to promote government bailouts and create more dependancy? Hasn't there been enough money wasted down there b/4 Katrina.
Bulldoze the houses, let the water back in, build a new levee closer to higher ground ,let developers build a few communities for various workers. If global warming is true perhaps there will be a cat 6 hurricane in the future.

Hi,I'm Bill Duck I have been traveling the Mississippi Gulf Coast since Hurricane
Katrina hit!And I don't know who is in charge the DA's or Mayor's of each and every City and Town, but I have just stopped and watched worker's just sitting and standing around talking on their cell phones instead of working, and check out the price gouging!By the looks on some of the elderly people's faces who have lost everything they have ever had,I see them out there raking on bare ground where their home's used to be,But I don't see our Government helping them after they have paid Taxes all of their lives! How long will it take to Rebuild Iraq! And whose money will be doing it!You know somewhere along the line our Government has gotten really screwed up,We as Americans don't work for the Government they are supposed to work for Us!And they shouldn't choose how much money they make we should! How long is it going to take to get our own people back on their feet,And in Home's I have traveled in and out of these City's and Town's not just on the Beaches,People Charity Starts At Home First!Thank You,Bill Duck
