Dutch teenager Joran van der Sloot has admitted watching the violent death of Alabama student Natalee Holloway.
Sources say that, after more than 22 discrepancies were found in his statements about the night Natalee disappeared, his latest testimony has convinced Aruban investigators that he was present when she died and saw what happened to her.

um, why don't i believe this?

Because if from the National Enquirer. The jerk is supposed to go free on Saturday.
Poor Holloway Twitty families, no justice sometimes, but what goes around, comes around.

Sources say that ...
I have heard too many sources.
Posted by: loesje | Thursday, September 01, 2005 at 06:55 PM
Wonder how much money the "source" got from the NE? rofl
Posted by: RealityBased | Thursday, September 01, 2005 at 06:57 PM
I must say I agree with Mexiwife--not sure I believe this one.
Posted by: anne | Thursday, September 01, 2005 at 06:57 PM
Seems like a lot of speculation - at best. But I can tell you this much - the Nat. Enq. has had a journalist on the ground there since the beginning and does have sources. Looks like that story is more opinion, though - perhaps of one who has seen the statements. But still a fair stretch to state as fact.

No one will release info to the media about the contents of the investigation. It will harm the case however.

They also said that she was in a columbian sex ring back in June.....makes you wonder where they come up with this crap.

this is right up there with "Elvis is Still Alive."
OMG my mother-in-law will be calling -"But I read it in the paper & they have to tell the truth." Thanks for the warning Dan, I'm unplugging the phone now.

Was this before or after the story that Natalee is having Jesus' baby?

As BIZARRE as this might sound, I do believe that the enquirer does have an element of truth in its reports. Wait!!! Bare with me; obviously, the Aliens Impregnated My 80 Year Old Grandmother Story, not included. I have always had the lowest level of belief....but I did notice that they have had some scoops, (poor choice of words) and several times were ahead of the MSM. Would fall off my chair if such is the case, but, Dan posted it and he must be shaking his head as well.

Did something happen to Elvis, and none of you were kind enough to tell me???
Posted by: R Nelson | Thursday, September 01, 2005 at 07:52 PM
No, R.N., nothing happened to Elvis. You can relax.
The first paragraph says he Admitted watching her die; and then nothing else in the story confirms that!

IF Joran would serve 3 months in jail for his buddy Deepak -- you can only wonder what he owed the guy? Especially considering the fact that he was about to go to college and meet all kinds of new girls and live away from his parents for the first time in his life... (oh wait.. he already did that) Why not take the blame for something his bestest buddy did and sit in jail instead??? Okay, maybe he didn't think that they'd hold him that long??? But to come from an affluent family and hold out for that long ... pretty impressive - or maybe he wasn't so eager to leave the clutches (ha ha) of his mummy and poppie. Maybe it's b/c slumming in the jail in Tommy Hilfiger underwear isn't so bad afterall. New scenario plays out... Maybe Deepak was in love with Joran ... got mad when he saw Joran and Natalee making out (or doing whatever) and decided it was time for the chick to go... Ok, I'm being ridiculous. I'm with the kid who doesn't understand why there isn't more evidence in this case.... Today's news has definitely been an eye opener... I'm sure if Joran accused Deepak, Joran will eventually go back in after Satish and Deepak remember what truly transpired the night Natalee was never to be seen again.

I hope you'all and your families suffer the same way The Holloways are

If this were true, why would Joran be getting out now? Don't they have charges for being an accomplice or something similar in Aruba?

Actually, I called them one time to do a story on the actor from "Highway to Heaven", Michael Landon, that they should have a psychic report messages from beyond from him.
Well, they told me they only printed TRUE stories.
I thought it was a good idea and did not know they dealt with reality!!!!

For those who think she is alive, give me any scenario of that night, make one up.

I just swatted a fly that was buzzing around my screen. I would call that a violent death, and I watched it happen. (I am not calling NH a fly; just go with me here....) So, is that the kind of violent death that Joran witnessed? One that he CAUSED?

Must be true since it is in the NE and that is exactly why the Judge let Joran go home.
Right up there with the pregant man story.
