Natalee Holloway: Witness Has Left The Island

Below From Amigoe - August 12 - with no suspects and no witnesses, it appears the Natalee Holloway investigation is now back to square one.

ARUBA – The Public Prosecutor (OM) told the lawyers that there will be no interrogation of the gardener in the Holloway case. The man had left Aruba, because he didn’t have legal papers.

The examining magistrate was supposed to talk to the man today. He was the one that said that he saw Joran van der Sloot and the brothers Kalpoe with Natalee near the pond next to the Racquet Club. Based on this testimony, the pond was completely drained. There was nothing in the pond that had to do with the disappearance of the girl. The man was called last week to come tell his story again. Since this is not the case anymore, the testimony is up in the air. It is now more difficult for the OM to arrange evidence against Joran van der Sloot, who is not cooperating, because he does not talk.

Well... Seems like Jossy bought the americans by showing his face night after night after night on the news. Nevertheless, could be educating for those who doesn't know about the island or about some of these characters, to surf online.. and maybe.. bump into some reality factors around this Jossy guy... for example..
that his petition for the american visa was declined (for some transactions not very legal) And that here in aruba, the media has no parameters, no control, even worse if you as editor are the owner, then you have a greenlight to write as much as you want and feel safe by arguing freedom of speech...

Don't believe everything your see on the media reports.. even if it's in your country, they only give you the most convenient side of the story for them.

Ad for Joran going home today, well... disturbing, no one saw it coming, but then again,
the family made huge mistakes by leaking to the media info, that now is dismissed.
The guys certainly know more than they're telling, but without evidence, not much of a case.

As a reality check point for all, there are more ways, than the american way.

Has it ever occured to anyone that maybe just maybe these guys did not harm Natalee.Albeit they have admitted to being with her and to date there has been no evidence whatsoever to link her disappearance to the boys.

I dont know if they did or did not harm her.So far all proof being presented (which is none)does not implicate the boys of any wrongdoing other than being in her presence.

I do think all directions should be investigated and that includes the Twitty twins.As far as I know the only thing that has been reported about those 2 boys is that they were on the trip to Aruba.I find it strange that those 2 boys have their cousin missing and they then board a plane for Alabama when instead they should have remained on the island for Natalee's sake and greeted the Alabama possse later that night.But no they did not stay and see about their cousin nor have they been on TV like all of the other family members or out searching at all.

It should be investigated as to what they know and perhaps have their liberties invaded and be required to submit to a polygraph as should the ex boyfriend.If for no other reason than the process of elimination.

It is possible than Natalee walked back to the Holiday Inn after Joran left her and she was confronted by the Twitty Twins and perhaps something bad happened at that time.As close knit as the community of Mountain Brook has been portrayed perhaps some of the other kids were ribbing the Twitty twins about the way Natalee was acting and how her behavior may be making them look bad.Perhaps they killed her and buried her on the grounds of the Holiday Inn as I dont ever remember hearing a report of the grounds of the HI being thoroughly searched since it is assumed that she never made it back to the HI.

Before anyone calls me a basher,this scenario could be the truth,who knows,it not as far fetched as some of the other theories being floated around.

It is simply stunning that these boys went back to Alabama and now dont exist in show of support for Natalee.

I am going to Aruba on the 16th for 5 days and the first night I will be staying at the HI and the rest of the time I will be in a timeshare.I am going to try and get someone in Aruba to at least look at this theory and to at least eliminate it as a piece of the puzzle.

P.S.,I will not be getting into any TAXI's with women that I have recently met.

I have felt all along that Joran was being railroaded but your thoughts about the Twitty twins are quite bizarre. I have seen pictures of the Soul Beach concert that contain a group of kids that bear uncanny resemblance to Natalee and her small group of friends. If it is them, Natalee would have been at the concert from around 9:30 to 11:00 ish. Therefore she was not at the casino. At least one Twitty twin was at the casino and met Joran so the story goes. I do think the Twitty twins know the accurate timeline of events leading up to Natalee's disappearance. I have always been confused as to why a young girl has two big football player cousins with places on college teams (I think as least one has a Furman scholarship) and they did not look out for her.

Until everyone involved gives an accurate timeline, this case will just hang around unsolved. Trying to railroad anybody who is indeed innocent (if they are) will not get Natalee back.

also ... I would like to tell you something... here in Aruba, everybody wanted to hear about the group of students, also her cousins and her half-brother that came to Aruba a couple of days earlier.. but the Twitti's don't let them talk to the media.. nor the friends...

On the other hand vacation-wise, Aruba is just as it was before Nat, only much crowded, this year we didn't have low season because of this event... also,americans constitute a 64% of or tourism, the rest are Europeans and from latin america... out of that 64% of that american tourism we receive yearly ,more than the 60% are returned guests that own timeshares... people that come as much as 4 times a year... and many that i know they live here for months and go home for the holidays... for them that have been on the island for the las 20 to 30 years, they have seen the development of the island, and they undestand that this episode was isolated from the usual.

I belive that Jossy's purpose in assuming a "compassionate" role in this whole ordeal was to lead everyone away from the correct path. His "contributions" caused loss of precious time, because every lead was a dead end. He obviously had or has a personal agenda, which may be bringing the van der Sloots down or who knows what else. "Uncle Jossy" has fooled us all.

I have heard it reported several times that Natalee introduced herself to Joran a night or two before the concert/CnC last night out.

I believe the reports that you have alluded to that she met him at the casino and then at Cnc all in the same night are reports that surfaced after it became known that she had indeed met him a couple of nights before.I think what happened is several of the students may not have known exactly when she met him but only stated the facts as they knew them to be and not what they actually were.I do believe the reports that she met him and left with him in the same night were merely an attempt to make Joran look more culpable and to make Natalee appear to bemore naive and pure tan she actually was.Anyone with a half a brain knows that what parents of teenagers believe their kids to be doing are usually completely opposite of what they are really doing.

No doubt Aruba will continue to be a major destination for Americans.It is naive on the people's part who say that Aruba will suffer because of this when in fact we have more unsolved crimes occur in our country in 1 day than Aruba has in its entire existence.So I really dont see the Holloway case as an obstacle to future financial stability of Aruba.Truth be told those who say they will never visit Aruba probably never heard of Aruba until it appeared on their nightly news channel so the chance of them ever coming to vacation there in the first place void their statement completely.

While the whole anti-Joran camp asked why it took Aruban LE 10 days to arrest him.... tell me... I am curious to learn something about your country.

Why is it that with 3 days of warning in advance, of a crime 'about to be committed', and now 6 days after the crime, there is just now a beginning of relief to the THOUSANDS of victims in and around NO ??

Where is the logic of asking Aruban LE to act in the case of a single person missing, while a whole country knows that thousands of people are already DEAD because of the lack of leadership, lack of resolve, lack of moral fibre(looting), lack of water & food, lack of troops, lack of medical care, lack of interest because the victims are just coloured people ??

I think everyone can agree that so many leads came from Jossy Mansur sources and that those leads were hoaxes. Beyond that is just speculation. There are some facts, however. Jossy Mansur did file a human rights case feeling that his reputation was ruined by associates of Paulus Van Der Sloot and possibly Paulus Van Der Sloot himself. Alex Mathew also has a grievance against Paulus van Der Sloot related to the fact that Mathew believes that incidence in his case was destroyed. Alex Mathew had a press conference on May 27th just before Natalee disappearance. The Aruba press ignored him totally.

So in conclusion, both Jossy Mansur and Alex Mathew have a grudge against those in the current Ministry of Justice. Would both Mansur and Mathew like to discredit that department?

The people of N.O. were warned to get out and a lot of them did.The local leadership is to blame for not getting their people out.There are 205 school buses that were apparently never moved as they are partially submerged in water at this time that should have been used and should have been a part of the convoys of buses currently being used in the evacuation.

The storm came thru Monday morning sparing most of the N.O. area,however the dykes were breached on Monday evening and Tuesday and the folks still did not leave and it was Tuesday night before the local officials realized that they had failed to do more to evacuate.That being said there are always those who will not heed warnings of any sort and unfortuantely they are the ones who create the need for assistance.Does that make any sense to you?

As far as the color or their skin.Just what is to be expected when the ones you speak of make up over 70% of the poplulation in N.O..

The looters,yes always looters at the scene of a disaster.SOme may call them looters but I tend to cal them common criminals who only exploit the circumstances to their advantage.More than likely this is not the first time they have committed criminal acts.They simply see it as an opportunity without repercussions.

A former Birmingham Police chiefs son who went to MB when I did was one of the biggest dope dealers in the school - he claimed to get his dope from the police arresting his competition. His father was removed for destroying evidence of assault by the Mayor's daughter.

As mama twitty falsely portrays her daughter as a modern madonna (not the singer) one would wonder if Natalee has walked acroos the water and got caught in a hurricane.

If Beth Twitty is stupid enough to remain in Aruba and harass people like she did previously she can get a tatse of jail herself - justice indeed.

These were legit reports made by officials.

There's not one single solitary breath from the people on that island that can serve as a base to begin an investigation with. They are all pathological liars.

I would say.......save your breath.....about saying you "believe" anything unless you've seen it with your own EYES.....and even then be highly doubtful because they like to play tricks that way also.

Being neither Dutch nor American, I can say from a certain emotional distance that it is really terrible that so many misjudgments, insults and misconceptions have been expressed towards both the Arubian/Dutch people by Americans and vice versa; although sheer number of opinions, the people of Aruba, and Dutch citizens in general, have received the most exposition to prejudice and unfair treatment in the discussion of the Natalee Holloway case.

Unfortunately, in this case most of us forgot that we were dealing with a potential criminal case in a society that is different than ours, with different rules, different background, different legal systems, different history, different way of doing and handling things, and that as such, the differences are not necessarily bad, or inappropriate or inefficient. Most of us forgot that our framework of references is not applicable in Aruba, or for that matter in the rest of the world, where things are not done like “in the States”.

Along the way we also may have lost sight of the fact that this case should be about justice for all those being affected. On the forefront, Natalee, her parents and family. But we also have to remember that as parents Paulus and Anita van der Sloot, as well as Mrs. Ramirez-Kalpoe, are also painfully affected by this terrible situation and its consequences, where they have lost their right to a certain degree of privacy, protection from public “moral execution” and to be worthy of respect from others. Personally, I feel these parents are victims too; no matter how many mistakes they may have done during this process.

I have no idea if Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoes are guilty or not. I do not posses the information at hand to render that verdict. What I do think that if they are proven guilty, then they deserve the total weight of the law on their shoulders. But if we all condemn them, just to satisfy our desire for justice, without taking into account their culpability or not, then we would not be serving justice for Natalee, since the responsible person or persons for her disappearance may go unpunished.

My assumptions are based on experience and observation. Note that greta et al were absolutely sure Micheal Jackson would be found guilty based on evidence from a now convicted welfare cheat. I bet yo knew he would be found guilty too.

That the press has been quite irresponsible in this case, especially when they are trying to convey they really care, and they are just rehashing the story to create sensation that will bring about ratings. The only thing I don’t agree with is with Jossy eyeing the quarter mill to retire. That’s so funny!. But I do think he has tried to capitalize this situation to serve himself with the largest spoon: protecting someone that may have been involved and is connected to him somehow (code talkers theory), putting himself on the limelight to diffuse his image as a “US persona non grata”, or just being in the middle so that in case something is finally unveiled, he’d be perceived as the most concerned Arubian, to strengthen the family’s public and political “dominance”.

I think when the Twittys came up with the million-dollar reward for information leading to Natalee’s live rescue; the $750 thousand were probably posted by Jossy. But I bet he did this because he knew the gardener was a fake and the land movements were not going to reveal a thing.

Blame everyone except the suspects.

They were the last persons to have been seen with Natalee when she was alive. They have lied; they have interfered with the investigation; muddied the timeline; lawyered up, and won’t furnish an adequate explanation about the events. They aren’t talking.

In the Court of Public Opinion, we have a preponderance of evidence which points toward the suspects. At the very least, the suspects are not telling all. They are protecting themselves far better than the victim was protected.

While proclaiming that no one should speak or write without evidence, you have condemned the victim’s family with no evidence that they committed a crime.
