While it is now well-known that all three suspects in the Natalee Holloway disapearance have been released, I can now report that another detainee, Freddy Arambatsis-Zedan was previously released discreetly without any charges being brought as it seems there was nothing substantial to the allegations, reported here, for which he was thought to be a suspect.
It's my understanding that Arambatsis-Zedan will likely leave the island, if he hasn't left already. It has now been three months since the disappearance Natalee Holloway and not a single suspect is in custody.
Update: Photos on the release here.

I just want to say that this information makes me literally sick to my stomach. Aruba has no idea where their brains are...but my guess would be up their butts. Mark my words...Americans are not going to stand for this. This American has decided that Aruba is NOT on her list of places to visit and I'm sure my sentiments are echoed by millions of other Americans.

I will never have a desire to visit Aruba now. What if something were to happen to me? Aruba is much like New Orleans today, unfair and total anarchy. Those boys should've been put away for a very long time. Instead other young girls are going to be raped and will go missing because of these kids. Good job Aruba. I hope these boys will like their afterlife EXTRA CRISPY!!! I hope we all boycott Aruba for their awful handling of this case.

It just occurred to me.
Aruba and Arubans are the natives. The government ruling them is Dutch. So if in doubt the authority goes to Holland? Most of the officials of higher power are....Dutch?
Joran was Dutch.
Kalpoes were not native Arubans.
Do I have this correct?

No, actually all parliament members, the Governor, (appointed by the queen) Prime Minister and Ministers are native born Aruban.
Only the judges at the moment are Dutch-which is not always the case-we have had Aruban judges.

Why would they interrogate Joran's ex-girlfriend 3 or 4 times? but it happened-anyone connected to Joran-and Freddy is one of his best friends-was interrogated serveral times.

What I don't understand is when they didn't have the video from security showing the front of the hotel and the boys dropping her off, why bring in the security guys? The story is not solid from the start so why follow through and hold these two guys?
I can see why Joran was held, from his own mouth.

Patty-I have to go to work, but I will tell you that I happen to agree with you-that never really made sense to me-but it seems one of the guys at least-is a rather suspicious character here-known to the police to do some dealing-or so I have been informed by people that know.
You have to understand how police think in Aruba-probably no different in the states.
Most people here are good people-but there are a few "bad apples" like anywhere-and the police know who they are-so they are the ones they look at first when something comes down-you know-the usual suspects. I think that has something to do with it. But I am not arguing with you-the same thought has always gone through my mind.

Has it ever occured to anyone that maybe just maybe these guys did not harm Natalee.Albeit they have admitted to being with her and to date there has been no evidence whatsoever to link her disappearance to the boys.
I dont know if they did or did not harm her.So far all proof being presented (which is none)does not implicate the boys of any wrongdoing other than being in her presence.
I do think all directions should be investigated and that includes the Twitty twins. As far as I know the only thing that has been reported about those 2 boys is that they were on the trip to Aruba.I find it strange that those 2 boys have their cousin missing and they then board a plane for Alabama when instead they should have remained on the island for Natalee's sake and greeted the Alabama possse later that night. But no they did not stay and see about their cousin nor have they been on TV like all of the other family members or out searching at all.
It should be investigated as to what they know and perhaps have their liberties invaded and be required to submit to a polygraph as should the ex boyfriend. If for no other reason than the process of elimination.
It is possible than Natalee walked back to the Holiday Inn after Joran left her and she was confronted by the Twitty Twins and perhaps something bad happened at that time.As close knit as the community of Mountain Brook has been portrayed perhaps some of the other kids were ribbing the Twitty twins about the way Natalee was acting and how her behavior may be making them look bad.Perhaps they killed her and buried her on the grounds of the Holiday Inn as I dont ever remember hearing a report of the grounds of the HI being thoroughly searched since it is assumed that she never made it back to the HI.
Before anyone calls me a basher, this scenario could be the truth, who knows,it not as far fetched as some of the other theories being floated around.
It is simply stunning that these boys went back to Alabama and now dont exist in show of support for Natalee.
I am going to Aruba on the 16th for 5 days and the first night I will be staying at the HI and the rest of the time I will be in a timeshare.I am going to try and get someone in Aruba to at least look at this theory and to at least eliminate it as a piece of the puzzle.
P.S.,I will not be getting into any TAXI's with women that I have recently met.

Scubajab,
I live in the SE part of the US and have worked in health care for 30years. It never dawned on me that Aruba did not follow The Center for Disease Control guidelines for disposal medical waste and are dumping it in the landfil.
Did I read rightthat the hospital does not have an incinerator and that blood, body fluids, organs/body parts removed from the sick in the hospital along with airborne viruses and bacteria are not properly disposed of and linger over Aruba in the landfil.
Should this be the case, this frightens me more than anything else on the island. What is the infectious disease numbers look like down there?

Mike R.
I have felt all along that Joran was being railroaded but your thoughts about the Twitty twins are quite bizarre. I have seen pictures of the Soul Beach concert that contain a group of kids that bear uncanny resemblance to Natalee and her small group of friends. If it is them, Natalee would have been at the concert from around 9:30 to 11:00 ish. Therefore she was not at the casino. At least one Twitty twin was at the casino and met Joran so the story goes. I do think the Twitty twins know the accurate timeline of events leading up to Natalee's disappearance. I have always been confused as to why a young girl has two big football player cousins with places on college teams (I think as least one has a Furman scholarship) and they did not look out for her.
Until everyone involved gives an accurate timeline, this case will just hang around unsolved. Trying to railroad anybody who is indeed innocent (if they are) will not get Natalee back.

I feel strange bout not hearing anything on investigations on/interrogations of all the people that were on the trip. I think Mike's right in stating that it is at the least strange. I have the feeling the answer is only sought after in Aruba, while (if only for information purposes and elimination of possibilities.

It is strange about the Twitty twins. Why would they leave their cousin there missing? Lots of odd things. The Twitty twins. the friends who didn't know where she was. poor natalee. no one was watching out for her.

Now THAT is the best piece of news I have read since this whole charade started !

Bham mom I have to echo your thoughts about no one watching out for her. No one seemed to be watching period. Perhaps but the criminals. False sense of security and the mindless distractions of youth. I hope I have taught my daughter well to foremost be her own mother when she is away. Luckily she took one year of personal defense.
Posted by: FloridaPatty | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 12:55 PM
Yesterday I was out and saw CC was already closed at 3am. Maybe even closed earlier.
Tonight I will be out again and see what's up there.
But let's be fair: parties are going on everywhere in nightlife. This place (CC) or Aruba in general is not crazier then any other place. Actually when I see Wild on (E tv) I think Aruba is a boring place!! :-(
I know there's some drug dealing around CC and Bahia (the next club), but you can (and should) walk straight past those guys. I hardly get offered anything because I don't even glance at them hanging out there. And there's so many people walking there, you don't have to be afraid.
Posted by: dutchonaruba | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 12:57 PM
who knows, mybe you'll even catch Joran tonight at C&C's!
Posted by: siny | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:01 PM
Siny,
I won't go in. Just see if it's open. I don't like the place. They have stupid drinking games (making fool out of people) and feel so ashamed when those people make a fool out of themselves. Well, that might be the generation gap.
I have a feeling that Joran will not go to CC. I think he will be hiding out, maybe he's not even home. What do you think a few big US guys would do to him if they saw him there? They must recognize him and feel he is guilty having heard Nancy Grace.
Posted by: dutchonaruba | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:05 PM
I bet he will be showing his face soon. And smiling. Probably not tonight, but very soon.
Posted by: siny | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:09 PM
Bham,
There may not even be any criminals. They be simply be an acquaintance who Natalee left with and is simply gone on her own freewill. It has been rumored that she had disappeared on a family trip to Costa Rica for a week and again for a few days while in St.Marteen.Is there any truth to it?Dont know as the reporters who conduct the interviews with the family have apparently been scripted by the family to only ask the soft questions. Not once has any reporter asked Beth Twitty a tough question.Again if for nothing else but the simplicity of eliminating possibilities should the tough questions be asked.Perhaps the tough questions are asked off camera and deemed non essential by Beth or Jug.
It is apparent that Beth and the rest from Mountain are at the very least doing the exact same thing as what they claim the ALE to be doing, yep withholding information or at the very least dodging questions that need to be answered. The ALE has an excuse to act in this manner as they live by the very rules that govern their society. However the Twitty's live in America which has an open policy of information and they live here under the very rules that govern their society and yet they seem to be more secretive than the ALE that they rip apart on a daily basis.Well at least they were until the news media converted their attention to the devastation on the Gulf Coast.
At the present time there is no microphone to cover what they have to say, however it was published that Beth was devastated at the release of the boys that she seems convinced harmed her daughter.Yep just a short snippet. She might to start giving her interviews by email to the newspapers because it is going to be a long time before she is given a nightly platform again,if ever.
Posted by: Mike R | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:11 PM
Maybe they didnt do anything. Maybe they just didn't get caught. But I guess (just from looking at the pictures) they are not the nicest little boys on the island. Don't know them personally so I can't really judge them on just the pics. But imo the style you use for posing on pictures says something bout how you wanna b seen. And therefore maybe how you wanna b, and therefore maybe how you are.
In a promotional picture of my band we also used the cool "bad" look. But when I am out at night: just big happy smile pictures please!!
Posted by: dutchonaruba | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:12 PM
Mike, I completely agree with you. I hate the lack of info from investigations (if any) going on in the US.
As to your comment on the interviews: I think the reporters give a list of questions and the Twittys or whoever says which questions can be asked and then also they can prepare the answers.
And about this previous disappearance ...... soon as I heard about it I started looking bout it on the internet but couldnt find anything from a decent source.
What struck me was the first poster that was posted all over Aruba in the first days of disappearance:
here's a pic of it I took myself
http://www.geocities.com/dutch_on_aruba/nhposteraruba.jpg
to me it smelled like a runaway immediately.
Later I heard from a close friend of mine (1) say he heard from his close friend (2) that Natalees dad told him (2) that she ran away before.
How bout that?
I sincerely hope she just ran away for Natalees sake. If she ran away before and BHT didnt disclose that: she should get life in Aruba Prison (with seaview, so it's not that bad!)

MIKE R.,
I always try and keep an open mind when it comes matters of the human condition. This world we live in is far too bazaar for me to even attempt to understand it.
However, I'm not going to flame or bash you. Everyone is entitled in my book. I enjoyed reading your theory. Actually I enjoy reading anything that gives me a brain message.
Briefly: There has been far to many idiosyncrasies surrounding this matter that could even attempt to make me comfortable, albeit in Aruba or the USA. I do agree that there has been quite a bit of double-talk going on.
EXAMPLE: We understand that Natalee may have been enjoying the company of another individual for breakfast, etc. It seems that many of her friends were a bit tense about this pseudo-relationship. Furthermore:
Another example is the expression from I believe Satish Kalpoe: "...something bad is going to happen...or 'something bad happened.'" I think the majority of folks on this board or in this country are pissed because no one, including van der Stratten will take any attribution for what has happened. American's like things nice and tidy--at whatever the cost. The world saw a murderer walk when overwhelming evidence suggested otherwise. Why? Nice and tidy. Blackman goes free. It's a news thing.
Now I see fat and lazy folks in New Orleans who were TOLD to evacuate as early as Sunday. They didn't. They thought they could withstand "Mother Nature's" course. Fools. What is their motive? To sit on their fat rears open their palms and say, "Gimme, gimme, and gimme more." It makes me sick. Worse still is watching people loot, steal, and take what is not theirs--why?--because they could.

I mean BHT should get life. Not Natalee offcourse.
Anyway: whole aruba is up side down. Don't think tourism will be effected, but could. Then economy is effected. If that was just because Natalee ran away and didnt want to "turn herself in", that would we very sad. But still I hope this was the case, cause then she might be alive.
I spend some weekends in Venezuela, (in 3 weeks again) have a holiday planned to Colombia ( in 2 months) and will be looking around if I see anyone looking like she could be Natale Holloway, especially in nightlife. Hoping she's still alive
Posted by: dutchonaruba | Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 01:46 PM
Paulo,
More than likely the reason van Stratten has not made an attribution as to what has happened is simply,he does not know what happened. How can he be expected to tell what happened when he does not know what happened.I think people everywhere would rather be informed and have things nice and tidy but sometimes that is not possible.
Here is a fact for anyone reading. My stepbrother was murdered 26 years ago right here in Memphis,Tn and to this day no one has been charged in his murder let along even questioned, detained or interrogated. The point is some things never get solved.
As far as what you called fat and lazy people in N.O. laying around, well there are millions and millions of them all across America just like them.Yes they are waiting for others to do what they can do for themselves. It is a way of life in their culture and will sadly continue to be.It is rampant bilking of the system in America.
If I were in their shoes I may have went to a shelter for a night or so but after I realized the power was out and no a/c or food and water I would have left on foot and went somewhere.Hell common sense will tell you if there were vehicles coming by then the water obviously was not too high to wade thru.As you said they were sitting on the fannies waiting for the freebies and handouts that they have come to expect from the government.I find it sad that so many able bodied men have left the city of N.O. to go to a shelter hundreds of miles away and at the same time expect able bodied men from other states and the military to clean up their own damn city. What the leaders need to do is tell the able bodied residents that will be fed and clothed but in return they get a push broom to start sweeping up debris.Hell even the fat lazy ones you observed can help. But no they expect to abuse the city for the 5 days they have been there and then leave it for others to rescue and clean up and then they will come back after the heavy lifting is done.
DutchonAruba,
I have seen the original poster before and yes it reeks of a mother knowing that her daughter has run away.Which could have happened or not of happened. We just dont know and we may never know.I saw a couple of articles about the previous runaways but they on blogs so I dont know how much truth they hold.I would say the reason why you have not heard anything about an investigation in Alabama is because there has not been one other than an initial question and answer session with the kids.

Aruba is a foreign country and not a paradise. It is very dangerous once the sun goes down. Many, many rapes and gang bangs to American tourist that is hidden, some not reported because of the embarassing harassment by the LE.
Go home and not tell anyone is the message. It is a small price to pay to visit their isle in their minds.
IT is a hate thing espcially with America women.

HOW LONG have you been been reading the Natalee blogs. OF COURSE people are still going to Aruba!
And, just because a few of you don't want to go...don't lie about the beautiful island. LOOK in your own back yards to see corruption. Bet, there is as much there.
I am supportive of the TH families.
But, reading some of this crap out of Americans makes me want to puke!

WITH WONDERFUL PEOPLE.
Sure something went wrong...but don't bash the whole island. I imagine you would make terrible tourist to the island anyway.
