Natalee Holloway's Father Dave Speaks Out In Aruban Media

Dave Holloway, the Father of missing teen Natalee Holloway distanced himself from a call for a boycott of Aruba by popular daytime television psychologist, Dr. Phil.

From early press reports, I've been told Dave Holloway points out that he is "independent of that opinion and can speak for himself".

Apparent quotes are said to go on to say, "I have family that work regular jobs. There is no reason that 100,000 people should be made to suffer for the actions of 3 or 4 individuals, which may not even be from this island".

A reporter goes on to point out that since the beginning of the case, Dave has never used the word corruption and distances himself from Beth and Dr. Phil on this issue, as well.

Currently, Dave Holloway is in Aruba to check on the progress of the investigation and to confer with the prosecutor's office and share information received from emails to HELPFINDNATALEE@COMCAST.NET.

He believes that police may have taken a wrong track at the beginning, but they are not the only LE to have ever done that, and the ALE is making every effort to solve the case-the investigation is continuing, and there have been other cases in other places that have taken much longer to reach a conclusion. He is said to be confident that the Aruban police are doing all they can. 

Holloway also states "I am open to the idea of other possibilities". He will not talk to the media about any of the information in the event that it would compromise the investigation.

In addition, to clear up some issues-there is no million dollar insurance policies on Natalee's life, and he does not believe she ran away-she was making plans for school and the summer-there is no indication of that possibility.

As for the fund set up by Beth and Jug, he has no access to it and doesn't know why -his trips to Aruba have been possible with assistance of his church.

He also requests that anyone with any information that can assist in the resolution of this case please send it to HELPFINDNATALEE@COMCAST.NET.

Dave Holloway is a super guy. His style is very different from Beth's. While I think Beth got Natalee's name out, and put this thing out int the world press, now, it seems to be getting tabloid-ish, especially with that Dr. Phil piece. I still commend her, but, I prefer Dave, by far. I think it's revealing that out of all the money they got from people who donated, Dave had no access to those funds, even when they said Dave did. It's not the first time they've bended the truth to suit them. I wish Dave was more in the forefront of the media, since Beth elicits moans and groans when she speaks. At work, when the news is on, and she comes on, people start throwing things at the screen. She is really hated by some.

I like both Beth and Dave. Not knowing either of them personally I can't speak for their actions. While their purpose may seem clear none of us can know their minds. It's not surprising that they are different. They did get divorced for a reason didn't they??? I'm impressed they were united for this long. :-) I like Dave's approach but after a point i would be just as frustrated as Beth. Being PC would be out the window. 3 months is an awful long time to be understanding of their process when you know your daughter is dead and more than likely was drugged and raped. Composure would be out the window. Mother's protective nature is a force to be reckoned with. You can't control it!

Does anyone think this case will ever be solved? How about DJ Steve Croes and the boat? Do you think he dumped her overboard? I kinda miss Dr. Henry Lee, the oriental forensic expert. It was fun trying to figure out what the hell he was saying. Beth will be on Oprah soon and they'll be showing all those middle aged women in the audience coordinating tears in their eyes with Oprah. Where's TJ Ward? I wonder if he got paid? I really hope Dave Holloway finds his daughter. Like I said before, you need to have the VDS's, the Kalpoes, Jug Twitty and Dave Holloway in the same room, so Dave and Jug can beat the crap out of them and then Dave could beat the crap out of Jug. Now that's some justice.

Sorry folks, but as much as I sympathize w Dave, he is taking the wrong approach. It is glaringly apparent the Aruban govt is definitely involved in Natalee's disappearance.

Beth is doing everything I would do at this point. The only way the Aruban govt will be motivated to do anything is to be embarrassed and boycotted. Going on Dr Phil and other shows is the only way that Natalee's disappearance will ever be solved.

I can appreciate the fact that people here on this forum support Dave and his approach, but, after actively investigating a major US case (and my info was used by the crime victim's lawyers).... with many similarities and media coverage as the NH case....Beth's appraoch is the correct one. Unfortunately the case I worked on the victim's lawyers took Dave's approach, and it never obtained real justice.

Appears to be a contset still going on for who's the better parent. Typical behavior in the amicable christian divorce community. Per Dave on Fox Saturday 9/17/05 - he did not know about Dr. Phil show until someone told him about it. Also Jug asked Governor of Alabama not to pursue boycott. Sounds like a contest for public approval of parenting on one sides part.

The interest is waning in Natalee's disappearence. We are now more focused on the Twittys and the Holloways personal life and I like it. I was curious from the beginning as to what happened to this good looking couple. Now she is a witch and he, Dave, is the good guy. I'm getting so I can't stand to watch Beth with her stuttering "ya know" fifty times in a sentence. I do feel sorry for though.
