Natalee Holloway: Breaking Aruba - Kalpoe Brothers To Be Released

Very preliminary information coming out of Aruba suggests there will be a Government Task Force Press Conference today and both Kalpoe brothers are said to be being released - now, or in the near future.

Early report unconfirmed at present.

Update: Second report suggests above report is correct and confirmed at least as far as Satish Kalpoe - a second judge is said to have over-ruled an earlier ruling allowing for an extension of Satish Kalpoe's detention.

Update 2: AP Confirms:

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - A judge Friday ordered the release of two brothers held on suspicion of involvement in the disappearance of U.S. teenager Natalee Holloway, their lawyers said.

The judge ruled that Deepak Kalpoe, 18, and Satish Kalpoe, 21, could go free on condition that they not leave Aruba and remain available to police, said lawyers Ruud Oomen and David Kock. The brothers, Surinamese nationals, will be released Saturday, along with Joran van der Sloot, a Dutch teen who is also a suspect in Holloway's disappearance, the lawyers said

A few things,I think it has been said here and in many other venues 1)drinking wine and beer at 16yrs is legal in Aruba 2) gambling in a Texas hold'em poker game ok also if 16yr old does not put money in...records are kept per a list with names using lastname initial only

oh, yes, we all know it was a cover up. one thing tho, they also were very careful to not take it to court without enough evidence. if they had tried the case and had to find them innocent and they could not be tried again, we would have an O.J. situation. i just hope these guys will mess up and get caught with a lot of evidence. of course, the evidence is obviously lost. they would have to do a new crime or confess to people that they did the nat crime. maybe a body or a live Nat will be found at some point in the future. we need to be patient. but thanks for discussing things. it really helped.

Wasn't this the same judge that released the Kalpoe brothers the first time? The news media has reported in the past that the final hope for justice for the Holloway/Twitty family would be charges against Joran for some kind of sexual misconduct with Natalee on the night she dissapeared... that he admitted. I also thought that Aruba has a law that pertains to "kidnapping". If a person dissapears then the last known person/persons to be with that person can be charged. Anyone?

Like so many, my thoughts and prayers are with the people on the Gulf Coast. We pray for their recovery, rescue, health, wellbeing and the promise of rebuilding.

Also, I would like to extend my ongoing support to the Holloway-Twitty family and friends. I too have been following this case from day one. My heart really goes out to them, may Natalee be found safe and sound. Yet the news of Joran, Deepak and Satish being released as early as this Saturday must be incredibly disheartening and frustrating for Beth and her family. Beth, we know you will not give up and neither will we. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.......

On a separate note, could someone please advise me on a reliable site which translates the language of papiamento into english? There are several articles in Diario and other Aruban papers which pertain to Natalee's case.

I am sick to my stomach over the Aruban developments. First they let Joran
go and now the Kalpoe brothers. At first I hoped it was some kind of strategy to let joran go and maybe the brothers would talk. Now I think they
did what they always planned to do - ignore this case - and the recent
hurricane here has kept the media busy reporting on other things so they
think they're not in the spotlight anymore. PLEASE BETH, JUG, AND DAVE,
TELL THE COUNTRY, TELL THE WORLD, WHAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU'VE KEPT QUIET
ABOUT ALL THIS TIME TO GIVE THE ARUBAN POLICE TIME TO WORK THE CASE. Since

spending one dime over there and stop all american tourism there which
they depend on. I am so angry about this. Its so obvious that as soon as

But, now I wish that someday you are accused of something horrific, that you didn't do, and there is no evidence to prove. This news has to be just unbearable for the family.I had hoped all along that the officials really did have some evidence.Apparently,they don't.
