Hurricane Katrina: More Good News
Fausta has updated her good news round up for today - here it is. Check it out! Below is just a sample.
You know things are looking up when the NYT front-page story has a favorable headline about organized religion: A New Meaning for 'Organized Religion': It Helps the Needy Quickly, along with a photo that speaks about race relations

Yes they wil always be there no matter what, always doing good for their fellow man. Its a damn shame "we" all get bashed and trashed and labeled as "bible thumpers" ~~ Whatever that exactly is supose to mean. But....whatever it means I am proud to be one of "them" !

An attorney and now a circuit judge, Christopher Compston wrote:
Over 23 years ago, my first son Harry died after only 36 hours. At the time, his death seemed monstrously unfair and, in one sense, it undoubtedly was.
Now, with hindsight, I am quite certain his death was one of the best things that has ever happened to me in that it began the process of breaking me down so that, with God's grace, I could begin to understand how other people felt and how other people suffered.
Here on the west coast, and I assume all across Canada, Christains pray daily for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Schools, Churches, Businesses and others are all raising funds to help those brothers and sisters in need.
"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
