Rusty has a bunch of links up to webcams from the Houston area - many are still functioning. His post also includes additional information and maps.
If you look for the Houston TransStar Freeway Cameras and check out I-10 Katy - Eldridge it looks bumper to bumper. There are several cameras and locations to choose from through his links.

Hurricane Rita report..
Just found out that the farm is in path of the storm ..and I have accepted several large animal evacuees..so sad that they have to go thru more of this water thing.
I now have 4 xtra goats, two horses, several cows and six dogs and who knows how many cats...
59 and I-20 are parking lots out of Houston.
These people are going on inland to Arkansas and Oklahoma..No point in stopping off here...if we going to be hit too.
problem is..a minister I know from Houston called ..He had family and on way inland..turned around and went back home..said he was stalled on the road 3 hours and the babies were getting hot. no idea what this one family will decide to do about coming out.
Gas stations have run out of fuel..the suppliers have called in truckers to work extra loads all night to try to supply the stations along the evacuation route 59..my computer lady's husband is one of these..she worries that tired men hauling hazmat ...
It was a beautiful day here today..had the top down on the BMW and was in Tyler and Mineola..tried to buy c and D cell batteries in several places and none to be had..
If trees fall on the house I have a tent..its packed and ready to set up..stocked up on feed for the critters and hoping for the best. Stocked up on shock for the well just in case..have the emergency medical kit ready for minor injuries.
We are 150 miles inland..but not prepared for 100 mph winds ..flooding I can handle if it only gets 12 inches..have some high spots the critters can go to.
