Enquirer Reports Van Der Sloot Targeted For Death

Okay, I backed out from this page to make sure it wasn't a complete fabrication. I've no idea how this stuff gets reported, but according to headlines here, Joran Van Der Sloot has been targeted for death:

Police on two continents have been alerted to a plot to kill Joran van der Sloot and two other prime suspects in the case of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway. Authorities in Aruba, where Natalee vanished nearly four months ago, have warned cops in Holland that there's a price on Joran's head.

Oh, and, on a minor note, President Bush has fallen off the wagon.

Faced with the biggest crisis of his political life, President Bush has hit the bottle again, The National Enquirer can reveal. Bush, who said he quit drinking the morning after his 40th birthday, has started boozing amid the Katrina catastrophe.

Wasting Joran and company is both possible and probable. There is a lot of sympathy and anger regarding Natalees loss and some folks with the means will get the job done and feel very justified in doing it. One guy told me "my time, my way" when we were discussing something of a similar nature. Whether Joran and the Cowpods are guilty or not, I and very surprised certain factions in Aruba have allowed this condition to get this far without taking care of business internally because of all the attention that has been cast on the casinos, drug trade and corrupt government. This whole scenario is really a mysytery of galactical proportions.

The one thing with the NH story is that the news media really hasnt done a good job investigating. The MSM does a poor job w investigative reporting.

The tabloids get it right about 50% of the time...which is actually a better pct than the MSM on these high-profile crime cases.

School of choice was St. Leo University ( a Catholic University) near Tampa. They have a sports management degree which I believe he was going for. Great school, beautiful campus, many many moons ago it was a private parochial school that Desi Arnaz attended after his family fled Cuba.

I hope that President Bush is not too proud to get the help that he needs. Being President, I would think that he could get the best in terms of treatment and privacy. (and it really is, and should be, a private issue)

As for people targeting Joran, I hope that the Enquirer is making this up, but wonder if some wacko's reading about it might decide that it is a good idea. There is where responsible journalism comes in. Printing something like that is not responsible. In this case, they can't even be sued because they haven't named anyone! They are lowest form of scum to take advantage of such a horrible situation.

I still don't see where hurting any of the suspects will bring Natalee back. Their lives are already ruined. Mostly by American journalists who have no respect for anything but the money they are making by sensationalizing stories and passing lies as truth. As a result of this case, I no longer have any respect for Greta, Dr. Phil, or any of them for that matter. If something happens to Joran or his family or the Kalpoes it is a direct result of their publications. Maybe they could be tried for murder if something happens. They would be directly responsible and should be held accountable!!!

I wouldn't miss the Vander Sloot's if they get bang banged!! But I wonder, why would someone (unless they know Natalee very very well) would wanna lose their own freedom killing these scumbags ? Unless said person(s) have nothing left to lose? That's something I never "got", about people who kill or threaten to directly kill people like the Halloway disappearance suspects. As I said, I like too much my own freedom to do something like this...Prison is the last place I'd wanna be. Granted, it is frustrating that Joran and K2 are free while Natalee's whereabouts are unknown, but karma will take care of them. Hopefully there will be justice for Natalee and her family eventually, and VDS and K2 will have their b utts thrown in the slammer.

As for Bush back drinkin', IMO that's highly unlikely...Of course being POTUS is a very stressful job, so I would guess a drink here and there might take the edge off, although if he did have a drinking problem before it wouldn't be too good to hit the sauce again. Considering the source (N.E, while a fun rag to read ain't exacly truthful at all times) I don't think it's true, although if it is I'd hope Laura or Karen Hughes would tell him to quit it before he does something really dumb, which could happen down the road when someone who had a booze problem and quit for almost 20 yrs falls off the wagon...I doubt that a bad drunk (not saying that Bush is,but most people who are sober for 20yrs didn't quit because they were good w/alcohol)is fun to be around and in control of the job.

You are right. It is scary to see how many screwed up people are out there. Whats really scary is that alot of them claim to be Christians. I hope all of them are ready to explain why they behaved this way when there was nothing to support thier hatred. We are not supposed to judge others.

Actually, the National Enquirer these days has to have solid sources and evidence to print these things, or they'd be sued. They're very careful to make sure they have evidence for a libel case before they print something scandalous. For this reason, I'm inclined to believe it.

There isn't a single person on this thread that has legal, first-hand knowledge to the evidence in this case. Yet some are ready to kill, torture, etc. the 3 main suspects. Those people betray the very values on which the United States was founded, and if they profess to be Christians, they betray that faith as well. Yet they portray themselves as noble, righteous, and courageous for wanting to do so. Their violence, hatred, and intolerance only succeeds in continuing the cycle of violence, hatred, and intolerance in the world. Such attitudes and behaviors are a part of the problem, rather than a solution to a problem.

The only true justice is that which is condoned by the law, and passed onto those who have been convicted of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt baed on the evidence presented in the appropriate court of law. Anything less represents vigilante justice and risks carrying out revenge on the wrong parties.

Oh come on now. It is a very well known fact that George Bush has had MAJOR problems with alcohol consumption in the past. Therefore, why would it be such a huge surprise that during this period where everything is going awry he might revert to the use of alcohol?

Also, re death threats against VDS and K2. A lot of people on this blog have been shooting off their mouths (or rather typing) about the killing, maiming, etc. of these individuals Personally I did not take it seriously but you never know what sort of wacko reads here and could be influenced by some of the garbage written.

If you go back to the OJ case and several other instances of reporting on various matters, the MSM was looking to the National Enquirer for leads. More times than not, they are fairly correct in what they publish. Not all the time, but enough of the time so that one can believe they do have facts.

OK you got me...you are correct to say that there is no concrete evidence that anyone can produce against the 4 likely suspects. But there is sooooo much compelling evidence that links the three in question to a possible crime scene:

1. Urine saying that something "bad" happened. How would he know something "bad" happened if he wasn't in or near a possible crime scene?

2. PVDS saying, "No body, no case". Strange to say isnt it? Wouldnt he be more apt to tell his son dont worry because he has nothing to worry about due to his innocense, IF he really had nothing to do with it. This statement almost guarantees that he was confirming with his son that a body was disposed of, so no worries.

3. The Kalpoe mother implicating herself again and again then proclaiming, "They lie, they all lie".

4. Stories that change and change and change based on the current weather in Aruba.

Many pieces of information that all point to the 4 likely suspects...too many to ignore! Doesn't there seem to be an uncanny amount of coincindences?
