I've been watching programming about 9/11 today. I can still remember the feeling as I watched the towers come down live on television. It's something we should never forget. I won't. Mr. Snitch's Memorial page is done and on-line with a short, appropriate film. Access the site through here.
Below is a series of over 20 images taken by reader Toni R. With my being from NJ, many of us were touched directly by this tragedy while it also touched the entire nation. There are so many stories ... none of them should be forgotten, either.

Thanks for the site Dan.

I just want to let you know of a website that was done by the daughter of a victim of 9/11. She is one of our neighbors. Her mother was in the World Trade Center for a 1 day meeting. The person she attended with got on an elevator before her. My neighbor was never found. I'm sure when you see it, you will be familiar with it.

Cathy - I think I read yesterday that the cost is estimated to be $20 million, that seems excessive to me.

Dan and Toni,
Thanks for the great pix. 911 will go down as one tragedy we all remember by what we were doing at the time when we heard about it.
Wonder what we have learned in four years?

TR....it is difficult to know what to say about pictures of somethiing so horrific so emotional
these are incredibly good pictures because you have captured the essence of that day...
the memories of that day...
pictures in my mind's eyes that will never leave and often haunt me
the heaviness of the air and the smells and
eerie sirens which we later found out had something to do with finding the firemen who had fallen
we must never forget,,,,thank you for the pictures...

if you want us to post things here let us know...
Absolutely, please feel free to post anything relevant - your thoughts, feelings, memories - that's what the comments are for.
...what do you think of the memorial that they want to put up in pennsylvania?
I've seen some complaints but really haven't looked at the issue closely - started to last night and it grew too late. I know what they planned for NYC was ridiculous. More an homage against America than for it IMO.
I don't think we're done with these battles, unfortunately. Everything seems to become politicized in America today.

Thank you for the pictures, TR. As they, they tell a million words.
I pray that the families and friends of the 9/11 victims are able to find at least a few minutes during the day where they can set their pain aside.
I wish the same for all of us.

I will never understand why such great effort is made to "re-evoke" bitter and vengeful emootions year after year like that.
Cant u guys see this is fuelin the hatred all over again? or is that the rationale for the "commemoration"?
