Wow! I recall reading about this a long time ago ... amazing to think the disappearance of Judge Crater in the 1930's might finally be solved. Cases like this often come down to a tip - not usually one in a note from a dead woman.

Everybody loves a mystery, and this is one I remember hearing about from my parents when I was very young. It'll be interesting if they solve this one. FYI, if you haven't heard of it, there's a great book out on the Black Dahlia murder by Steve Hodel, a retired LAPD detective who investigated the case on his own after first coming across some disturbing clues in his dead father's belongings. Some brilliant detective work and an astonishing (and convincing) conclusion.
