Surprising Development In Natalee Holloway Case

Information gathered in reporting on the Natalee Holloway disappearance suggests there was actually another male who claims to have spent the night, or "crashed" at the apartment of Joran Van der Sloot on the night of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. As Joran's one room, one bath apartment is set off from the family home, it was suggested this was not an unusual development among some of his closest friends.

Preliminary information suggests he had planned to go out with Joran and possibly some other friends that evening, but the plans fell through. He is said to have been interrogated by the authorities in the investigation, but presently, there is no information given which suggests he is linked to any potential crime.

According to a source, he has on at least one occasion claimed that Joran Van der Sloot returned home late that evening after he was already sleeping. During a brief interaction, it is said that Joran told him he met an attractive American girl that evening and also indicated in teenage vernacular that no actual sexual activity had been involved.

It is unclear what statements, if any, the boy has made to authorities in this regard.

It is also said that he received a call from Joran Van der Sloot the next day while Joran was playing tennis after school had ended. It's claimed that that is the first Joran had heard of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and called his friend as he was unsure of what to do.

This initial report, which conflicts with some other reports on the case, is unconfirmed through additional sources at this time.

I read about the drug trade in Aruba and all the small boats going in and out. Why would one of them not be a possible carrier of Natalee? Because we do not want a war with Aruba??

If Joran was a regular, playing cards at casino at Holiday Inn, then he knew the people that worked there and all of them knew that she was missing and were most likely looking all over. Must have been quite a buzz the day she disappeared. If he called from the tennis club, right down the street, he could have easily learned of this from the rumor mill. This is a little island, and like little towns, word gets around fast about things like this. Especially if it is something like someone disappearing.

After the (supposed) body disposal, and after weeks and weeks of unsuccessful researches, now he feels pretty comfortable that NO evidence would ever be discovered. And so it's not necessary to claim he had sex with her anymore.

Teenage boys, unfortunately, are notorious about bragging about having sex with (scoring) with a female. Sometimes its true and sometimes not. They seem to think it elevates them in the eyes of their friends. Unfortunately, sometimes this assumption is also true.

Would have been easy to get away with saying at school that he did have sex with her (even if he didn't) if she was going home next day,and no one would have found out he did not.

It seems most logical that if he had known about Natalie being harmed or had anything to do with that, he would not have been bragging about his sexual pleasures with her the night before.

If he had been complicit in her disappearance, he would have played it very cool the next day certainly not telling about having "made it" with her.

I agree completely. In fact, this one point is one of the main reasons I have think he didn't cause here disappearance. If he had know she had disappeared or was dead, he would have said very litle about having been with her and would have downplayed any time he spent with her.

I think Shango was referring to a party at the Wyndham, and a tie to the casino there since the dealers were repeatedly referenced - the dealers know, Shango said.

I read over his posts several times, along with interpretations. Later someone posted elsewhere information about the Wyndham. Shango talked about the 7 Infernos ( that is apparently the name of the Wyndham's restaurants) and about the Maze (A band that played at the Wyndham is named the Maze).

I've never been to Aruba so am relying on information others provided.

I like Joe Scarborough sometimes. But he is totally unbalanced in this particular news event. He's turned into another Nancy Grace which is fine if you are a prosecutor.

Wonder how he would have felt if he had been treated this way when the young girl that worked for him was found dead in his office in Panama City, Fl, several years ago. In that case there was almost no news, and only a simple brief follow-up in the press that no foul play was identified - no explanations ever and no more news about it.

Lose? Beth and Dave have already lost what is most important to them, their daughter, and the knowledge of her whereabouts. She has NOTHING MORE TO LOSE. He retired and went to the Netherlands. They said this was planned before this case ever happened. He didn't go on vacation, only the Prosecutor went on vacation there and she has returned.

The pond witness - the Gardener - disappearance is not surprising or even mysterious. His boss is locked up. He, the witness, is in Aruba illegally and they had already issued a warrant for him and planned to deport him. Nothing was found at the pond and it cost a lot to drain it. Someone probably paid him for his story and he isn't interested in putting it in writing or in being found since he will be deported.

Tonight Jug said he thinks the police know where to find him.

I have no information first hand. I was quoting what braveheart said. I am trying to keep my balance and not assume things without evidence, but at times I have to admit that it looks like the 3 guys and pappy are guilty. But I would be happy for all of them if it turned out that Natalee met with an accident. In that case it would have been better for them all to tell what they knew, which they didn't, and that leads me back to thinking they are guilty. BUT I don't know.

What Dan's post sounds like is that Joran has an alibi, sounds like the story he told matched up with Maxito's. And makes me feel pretty safe in assuming that Joran is in fact in protective custody. And that all the spin on the television has been just that spin by a desperate family. Think about it.

I don't think that they would be flying in interrogators from Holland to spend this much time interrogating someone that they are holding in protective custody. It could be that this witness saw Joran before he went back out with Natalee, or there could be other explanations, including that the witness is making it all up. I can't see why all the changes in stories or other things, such as washing the car in a strange place in the middle of the night, if that really happened. Well, the gardener has been found now, so that should result in the polis getting some info. Which witnesses tell the truth, we don't know either. But this guy hid from the start, which indicates to me that he wasn't wanting to talk, so why would he make up what he said to his employer?

The Enquirer in its latest edition states that Vander Poop got credit at the Casinos by either having ties to drug Barons or porn movie Barons.
Also stated is the cell phone records and the text message marked as URGENT sent to one of the Kalpo brother at i think it was 1:50am from Vander Poop. Also they reported that the time and date had been changed on Vander Poops cell phone and home computer. Sounds like they are getting closer with the hounds. ARf!ArF!arF! we smell Poop! Vander Poop!

Anyway Anita VDS only said one of his teachers called her a few days after it was known the girl was missing and asked her to ask Joran to stop talking about the girl. Sex was not mentioned. That's all rumor.

FBI and Aruban LE have said there is NO EVIDENCE that Natalee is on another island and they told the family on June 14th that this was a MURDER investigation. hardyandtiny - EXACTLY! He was told by his father to act like you normally would in school the next day. His father isn't stupid. He knew Joran's actions the next day would be examined once the police, Holloways and Twitty's arrived on the island. He knew his son was with this girl.

It's amazing to me some of these speculations when there are in FACT signed declarations from witnesses that Joran admitted he sexually assaulted Natalee. I'm sure she jumped on a speed boat after being sexually assaulted. If he sexually assaulted her then the logical jump to make from her disappearance is that she was killed because of resistance. Remember when Joran stated "she was acting crazy..." He was shedding some truth on what happened. Also, another point they made in the intial lie is that she hit her head after she fell after getting out of the cab and the Holiday Inn. There's another hint of what happened. They were already setting up a possible explanation of why (because at that time they thought the body could possibly be found)Natalee would have had a head wound. It was only after they had the 10 days that the stories started to change because they knew for a fact that the body had a good chance of not being found.

Anyhow, the father has this well orchestrated. I hope they find this gardener. The police believe he is credible. He was intensely questioned by police for 4-5 hours according to Jossey. The guy doesn't want to be deported and/or is afraid for his life.

Maybe Joran did leave her after they had sex and maybe that surinamer Deepak got back to get a piece, I wouldn't be surprised because with those foreigners even in Aruba, (they are from Suriname) you have nothing but trouble. Watching the replay of the Anita interview with Greta last night confirmed once again my view that the van der Sloots are truly low rent. Even in this situation, where she is cast in the best possible light, sobbing and talking about how heart broken she is and the pain this tragedy has visited upon her family, she said she told Joran to watch what he was saying. Not to co-operate fully with Natalee's family and police. Not to tell the TRUTH. Instead, to be careful about his words. Lots of character, yes?
