Natalee Holloway: Breaking News

Reports are coming in that Fox is announcing the re-arrest of the Kalpoes and an individual identified as "Freddie." That individual is known to me as a good friend of Joran Van der Sloot who allegedly stayed over at the apartments of Joran on the night of Natalee Holloway's disappearance as previously reported here and first here.

A news conference should be starting at 10 AM EST.

Update: Some sources are now claiming the arrests or interrogations are related to another potential crime with another victim and not the Holloway case. Also, it is being said that there are two boys along with the Kalpoes now at police headquarters. One is said to be an individual identified only as Freddie, at this time - the other is not known.

The two closest friends of Joran Van der Sloot are said to be the Freddie mentioned above and also an individual named Jamie. It's unknown if Jamie has been questioned in the Holloway case, or included in these latest developments.

I believe that no charges have yet been laid, they are just being questioned at this time. Hopefully we will learn a lot more once the results of the news conference are available.

My guess is that we are now seeing the Hail Mary pass mid-flight. It's a gamble to keep Joran locked up 30 more days, because they have not filed the petition for a hearing to keep him locked up - as of last night.

If they think they cannot convince the court to keep him locked up on the Natalee case, they need to convince the court he needs to be investigated on un-related rape charges reasoning locked up is locked up.

Isn't it interesting that new arrests follow on the heels of an auction fund raiser in Birmingham last night for Natalee Holloway trust.

A private affair by invitation only, no news allowed, Courtney Cox and Friends photos.

I suspect that Holloway money provided the police mistake in filming Joran as well as the numerous "leads" from Diadario. An examination by Aruban accountants of Holloway trust might be called for but no chance for that - US law.

There is a lot of dirt flying from both sides.

There apparently was no news conference, also the trio may have only been picked up for questioning - not arrested. Some backtracking seems to be going on. Also no confirmation of any court apearances.
