Sorry, missed this in all the searching hub bub generated by the media.
ORANJESTAD, Aruba -- Natalee Holloway's dad said he isn't sure he believes a witness account that the girl's body may have been dumped at an Aruban landfill.
Volunteers have been searching the site for several days, based on a man's claim that he saw men covering up a woman's body when he went to drop off some trash.
The Alabama teen's father said he spoke with the witness and isn't sure the story is believable. Dave Holloway said he's kind of mixed about it but wonders what would happen if the witness is speaking the truth.
Meanwhile, Monday's planned landfill search by volunteers was postponed because crews were waiting for heavy equipment.

Just to dad to even imagine.

A good way for the Holloways to make money to keep searching would be to have their own reality show if she is not found in few months.

When the madness subsides I believe it will be shown that the police Did look in the landfill where the witness indicated on (June 1?). His story will have been specific enough to warrant looking in a specific spot, and, failing to pan out, be dismissed as that day's 100th tip.
The landfill was back in the news after this witness went to Beth with the same info just recently.
I hope they're getting some recycling done.

Well Nancy Grace should be taken with a grain of salt. She was a prosecutor and she can find a way to bash a toy poodle for stealing a winter sweater. I just don't like her making fun of the jury when they decide on a case. She doesn't stick to the rule "if it don't fit, equit". Or the rule "innocent until proven guilty". She seems to always side with the prosecutor. Diane Diamond is another one I don't take serious.
I like Nancy Grace tho and I watch her every day. I usually do agree with her but she minimizes people's rights (she tries to be too persuasive on wanting to find people guilty without and she can ruin a fair trial) I don't think that is right. I don't think what she says matters to most people tho cuz I don't think too many people like her.

I have to STRONGLY DISAGREE with the title of this "Landfill Witness Unbelievable According To Holloway". That is not what I took from the interview at all. Dave Holloway basically stated that he wasn't sure if the witness was believable or not. The title here suggests Holloway does nob believe the landfill witness. Personally, I think she is in the landfill. The landfill witness came forward 4 (FOUR) DAYS into the investigation. The police either did not conduct a search (according to Greta Van Susteran tonight on Fox on Bill O'Reilly's show) or did a cursory search for part of a day. Either way, the landfill was not searched to any extent EVER by the police. Coupled with the fact that until a few days ago, EquSearch had done only a cursory search as well. This witness provided specific details early on in the investigation and it was ignored by the police. He is insistent in his description of what he saw, and the child's inflatable pool that he described HAS BEEN FOUND. Problem is the landfill is the size of 2 (TWO) football fields. Even after several days of Equsearch being out there, according to them it is too large and too deep to fully search without more specific inforation on the location. the reason is that the inflatable child's pool was most likely bounced and moved by the dozer's that push the waste regularly every day. I BET THE FARM her remains are there. Patrick

I read or heard somewhere that a hotel key card and towels were found at the dump and that was the reason for believing this guys story. I guess this was just another rumor? I'm pretty sure I both heard it on the news and read it online somewhere.

I have 2 comments to make here.
First, about the person or persons that stated they did not like Tim Miller for whatever reasons. I decided I liked him very much and I have alot of respect for the man tho his taking the time to help look for a young missing woman.
With that in mind, and the fact that he also lost a child to a murdere, will you please give him the benefit of the doubt, that he does have a good heart, otherwise, he would not be here with all these volunteers helping to look for someone's missing daughter.
Secondly, I was wondering if the rumor is true that Paul (Joran's father) and family are packing up and moving out of their home to move elsewhere, then is it possible to search the well in back of the property, or is permission still needed.
I believe that Natalee is in the well on Paul's property. I sure wish someone would let the authorities search their property and in the well.

Dave said what you would expect him to say, what he should have said. He wasn't absolutely convinced this would pan put, but it deserves a shot. Not complicated.

Dan, answer me this, please...why are the majority of posts on this topic negative towards your report? Not just on this one. Where have all these negative voices come from? Just feels wrong somehow.
Dan, you have a pretty accurate view of what's going on, and I am almost always in agreement with you.
One thing I did hear Greta say tonight that impressed me...was that Arubans think Natalee is still alive...Americans don't. How odd.

I saw Dave discussing this tonight, and it was very sad. It was almost as if he could not believe the evil that could be done, that someone would reduce his daughter to a piece of garbage and put her in a dump, like a piece of trash. I think Dave does not want to believe she could have been treated so inhumane as the last act that was carried out.

sleuth,
allow me to be bold enough to answer for dan... they voices u are hearing now are those of regular posters who were initially happy when dan SEEMED to be goin along with them and being judgemental even in the absence of hard facts.
Now they are realizing that he was only tryin to put forward both sides of the story hey callin foul.
They have plenty foul to call.
wait n see.

The landfill is at the opposite end of the island from where the alleged criminal act occurred. When was the body put there according to the witness. The vehicle he described does not fit any of the suspects'. So we are to believe they enlisted others to do this in broad daylight the day after the disappearance? Bull-crap. Just like draining the pond, this is being done to feather BHT. Grasping at straws. IF they couldnt find her right afterwards, what makes them think they can now two months and thousands of tons of garbage later.........Miller-time??? Can you say nutcase. THese tips in my opinion are purposefully designed to keep them on wild goose chases. The truth will never be told.

Did anyone think it just MIGHT be possible that this "credible witness" that saw a body being dumped at the landfill might have been hired by someone to put the searchers in the wrong place to get more time? And the reason his story is always the same is because it was rehearsed? They probably aren't even NEAR where they might find Natalee.

If this witness saw people putting a body in the landfill and covering it with a child's pool, then after they left, why didn't he go investigate himself? If it were me, I'd have been tempted to go pick up that pool right then and there and have a look to see if what I THOUGHT I saw was in reality what I DID see.

Unfortunatlely, the landfill witness is a plant by the currupt individuals that have hindered this investigation from the very day Juran confessed to the police that something bad happened to natalee and they burried her.
Therefor I believe these same individuals paul Van Der Sloot, Rudy Croes (minister of Injustice), The dishohorable Ben King ( proecuters Office) and the entire inept Aruban police force. These are the currupt goverment officials that are responciple for the cover up as well as the confession retraction.
This witness is merely a distraction to burn out the clock and further undermine the prosecution of Juran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe Brothers. So don't expect them to find a body at the land fill. Don't believe for a moment that the currupt Aruban officials have any intention of charging or prosecuting Juran and his murdering buddies, it's not going to happen.
Keep in mind the fix was in place June tenth the day the prosecuters office retracted it's story that Juran confessed. This retraction was the beginning and the end of the possibility for there to be justice for Natalee Holloway.

I am not so sure Natalee is on the island.. I am afraid Paulus made sure the body would never be found if they did kill her. But as far as searching the landfill, look how long it took Lori Hacking's body to be found at the landfield where she was dumped.. and they KNEW she was there.. so imagine searching a huge piece of land under all that trash for something you are not even sure is there. I do know the police looked there before if it is the same one that Dave Holloway was interviewed at. This might not be the same place but even so, it could take weeks and weeks to find a decomposed body.

I have followed this case from the beginning...Natalee is not on the island...she was put in the ocean long ago...that is the only place she could not be found. I do believe that she was moved from original place at the time of the murder. The media frenzy and the false witness just add to the time needed for the case to become "cold case files" They are using the determination of her family to drag this out with their feeble attempts to find her.

Charlie,
I totally agree with you about the corrupt Aruban officials. I wish this would be the focus of the media a little more at this point because I really don't believe she will be found and I know that no one will be convicted. I hope this really hurts their economy. You won't ever see a nickle of my money on that piece o' sh%t island

I believe that both witnesses were paid by Paulus as to the pond and landfill stories. He and the corrupt police department are stalling the investigation so his darling son will be released by Sept 4th and remember, no body no case. Natalee could not of been disposed of on Aruba, risk of being found ... so she probably was taken by boat and buried on another island Cruz may of still helped, the medium had said she was "unfindable". The Aruba law says that all 4 of them will remain suspects for 2 years. This case will become another mystery and swept under the rug! If her remains are found months or years from now, who knows if the Aruba police will follow-up, risk of scandal and effect on their precious tourism. The Holloway family is keeping this case alive, Beth and family will eventually go home, this case will be forgotten. The police don't seem to be interested and from what is being said, they don't think Natalee is on Aruba. Paulus had said to Mr. Holloway at the jail he was protecting his son, which speaks volumes about this case!

According to "At Large" on Fox News tonight, more blonde hairs on duct tape found today in Aruba. Is it from the same guy who supposedly taped his hair down when he wind-surfed in the area? I never did understand why anyone would TAPE their hair down. Why not use a rubber band, etc.? Seems tape would pull your hair out. Anyway, the authorities have taken it to the lab for investigation. Let's hope maybe this could be a/the lead we've been waiting for.
