Kalpoe Files Harassment Claim

As mentioned in a report here from yesterday, Deepak Kalpoe has gone ahead and filed a complaint against Beth Twitty with the police department on Aruba. His attorney is also said to have written a letter to the Mother of Natalee Holloway, no doubt protesting her actions in confronting the 21 year old at his place of work.

Beth Holloway Twitty (search) confronted him Monday at the Internet cafe where he works, spending about 90 minutes peppering him with questions.

While it's easy to judge Ms. Twitty's so-called grandstanding and use of unorthodox methods, one might pause to reflect upon what they would do in her situation. Depending upon what I knew, given a similar situation, I'd lilkely would have had someone by the neck a long time ago.

Just sayin ...

The American media may be the family's only hope of anything like a clear resolution to this apparent tragedy.

Guess that email from yesterday came from the Aruban Internet cafe, afterall ... interesting.

On a serious note, BHT did nothing wrong by visiting the cowardly Kalpoe. Of course, he would have to report her to the police because he is a big p*ss. I guess its ok for Natalee to be sexually assaulted and probably killed, but God forbid cowardly Kaploe feels a bit uncomfortable at his job. This whole case is just UNBELIEVABLE and I hope Beth continues to conduct visits with anyone she can to try and get info.

I liked the idea of everyone on the island whom supports the Holloways in their quest for justice to go to the cafe to ask Deepak, go to the VDS and ask Papa VDS questions, find Steve and ask him questions, just hit em all with questions every slimey last one of em. Kalpoe needs to withdraw his harrassment lawsuit and go help get Natalee out of the well at van der Sloot's, so that her parents cab give her a proper burial.

I think that Natalee's parents should file a lawsuit against the Kalpoes for taking their daughter and abandoning her on the beach with no transportation back to the hotel.

keylargogirl - I stop worrying about people who make assine comments without knowing what and the hell they are talking about like TOA. It's easy for people like that to sit back and be an arm chair quarterback when in fact if they were EVER faced with the reality of what Beth is going through they CAN'T say for 100 percent certanity what they would do (in the same situation).

TOA makes the first mistake in stating that Natalee has disappeared before on other islands when that IN FACT has been disputed rather matter of factly. It's simply NOT TRUE. Isn't it funny that people use RUMORS and NON-TRUTHS to try and prove something when in fact they know NOTHING?

The second mistake this tool makes is that he simply thinks Natalee just got into the car willingly with the 3 boys. I am tired of certain people on this board who view themselves as so high and mighty that they can judge the actions of Natalee and her family. They are going through absolute hell right now, and the problem is that people such as our brilliant TOA think that him and his daughter are smarter than everyone else.

I also agree with you that Natalee got in that car under false pretenses and had no idea that she was going to be stuck with the cowering Kalpoes. Urine lied from the beginning about his age and where he lived. Natalee was a young, somewhat sheltered girl who never stood a chance against those three perverts. But, there are limits as to what they can do as they scour Aruba. Right now in the eyes of the law, Deepok is an innocent man.

She spoke to him once at his place of employment, asking questions about her missing daughter, with whom he and his buddies were seen last with.It was also video taped for the total protection of the content of the conversation.
As per the Twittys Arubian Attorney: Beth has every right to ask questions about her daughter to anyone.

Sorry to jump in here this morning considering you posted last night, but as Jason said, you are incorrect with regard to the legality of "orders of protection" or "restraining orders".

Legally, there must be proof of a pattern of behavior and a perceived, imminent threat of violence or physical harm.

In the personal issue that you described there must have some proof of a pattern of behavior in order for the court to have granted that "restraining order".

Could the police arrest you as they did? Yes they can, but the arrest must have been for trespassing!

For anyone who missed seeing the video of Beth Twitty questioning Deepak, it is available on MSNBC/Scarborough Country. I think anyone who wants to comment on the issue should see the video of what actually took place before speaking out. Also, as to whether or not Beth broke any law, this issue was addressed by the Aruban lawyer Arlene Ellis-Schipper on Fox last night. Arlene stated that nothing Beth did could be construed as threatening and basically the Kalpoe lawyers' complaint is frivolous.

Beth was conducting business in the internet cafe - in the video you can clearly see her handing diskettes to Deepak and she stated she was having pictures printed there. She also states that she will be going back as she has more pictures to print.

As for Deepak stating he doesn't need the reward money, a few weeks ago when I googled his name, I found several ads he had posted listing new, unused pieces of computer equipment for sale. Maybe he has a side business [other than drugs :)]

I think it would be cool if a bunch of American men went to the Internet Cafe, and put more pressure on Deepak. How could they do this without be accused of "harassment"? Well, it's easy enough. Don't ask him any direct questions, and generally ignore him.

But, go into the Internet Cafe wearing t-shirts with different slogans, such as:

"Rapists & Murderers Deserve to Die"
"Men Who Rape Women Should Be Castrated"
"If You Kill Someone, Prepare to Be Killed"
etc., etc.

Then, while these men are in the cafe, they can converse with each other. The topic of the conversations (said in clearly audible voices) would be what they would do so someone, if their daughter was kidnapped, raped, and murdered. What they would say to each other could be scripted out, and be pretty terrifying stuff.

HOWEVER, AT NO TIME, WOULD ANYONE LOOK AT DEEPAK WHILE SAYING ANYTHING, and ALL STATEMENTS WOULD BE IN REFERENCE TO SOME APPARENTLY "HYPOTHETICAL" CRIME, IF IT WERE TO HAVE HAPPENED.

I think if some American men had the courage to do this, and planned it carefully, they could not possibly be charged with "harassment". However, I think having this kind of activity going on in front him, would scare the crap out of Deepak. Maybe he would finally get the idea into his head that he should come clean to save his own skin !

I can't believe that there are only two people searching the landfill for Natalee. That is a huge job!
