Interesting News From Aruba - Mebbe

The word on the street is that Beth Twitty confronted Deepak Kalpoe today, possibly in the Internet cafe. The info is sketchy, but has come from two very different sources - one anon, one known and reliable.

There's an additional side line claiming that Greta Van Sustern may have also done the same at some point. That report less clear.

Also, one unqualified source in Aruba is claiming he will file a restraining order tomorrow at 9AM. That piece is completely unconfirmed ... and I'll be watching to see how all of the above plays out, if it does ... same as you. Geesh!

Additionally, there is serious talk behind the scenes that a former girlfriend of Joran Van der Sloot named Melody will do a call in interview near the end of the show on Rita Cosby tonight, via MSNBC - 9PM.

Two sources on that, also - one says 100% - other less certain.

I am rapidly losing sympathy for Beth Twitty.

She cannot do as she pleases, sorry. Many of us have been, or have family who are victims of crimes. We are not allowed to indulge in vigilante justice. She has long since worn out her welcome in Aruba and is making us as americans the unwilling participants in a struggle that will have long reaching effects.

Time to file restraining orders. Several need to be filed in Aruba and the parents of some of the MB parents need to file them also.

How to get to the truth? Courts of law have been established for this express purpose. Sometimes the system works and sometimes it doesn't.

Beth Twitty does not have the right to go wild west in a foreign country before proceedings have even begun.

Her own lawyer has probably already tried to advise her that she is risking a lawsuit at the least, helping the defense at the worst.

Two months ago almost everyone was on the side of this seemingly frail young mom. Everyday the list of sympathizers grows shorter. Her's is an awful situation, but it does not give her free reign to run around like Rambo.

One of my cousins was murdered in a grisly case that made national news. Yeah, oh yeah, we'd like to get even. But we can't; so we don't. We don't want to wind up sitting in a prison cell like he will, so we will wait for trial.

Because of this....

Some people choose how they are going to allow their children/teenagers to behave and how they are going to raise them.

People here are asking WHY? WHY? did 280 parents allow their teenagers go to aruba for fun filled drinking and partying? Why would such good southern americans allow this group of 140 kids to go off on a drinking/partying spree when the legal age in their own state is 21?

Well folks, it comes down to how popular you want your kids to be. Allow them everything in the world, even though you've brought them up in a controlling manner. When a parent is that controlling in the well being of their child, why on earth would any parent think that sending them off to a foreign country, where party, party, hardy is the way to go?

Poor actions, very poor actions by the parents, imo. Were they really concerned for their daughters initial well-being?

Sweet angel---Natalees dad Dave Holloway was ADAMNAT that Natalee NOT go on this trip, for obvious reasons. And also Jug Twity's son told Beth of the caros and Charlies bar and how it was an UNSAFE Place for young girls to go to. this is FACT, he said it in national TV..and still these 2 so-called Christian parents let their Child go to Aruba to PARTY. there is a very nice Christian camp righ on the beach in Panama City Florida, where teens go and have a great time. they can go to the beach, they can go to the amusement parks, they can even play ring around the cars on the miracle strip parkway, it is crazy fun times.
What about all thos teenage girls that go to Panama city and this camp/ Where are the headlines where these girls behaved and acted like young adult ladies having fun no less ????
there is No coverage, and WHY? I'll tell you why, becasue SEX, sells. Because Booze sells, because underage salicious behavior sells(mtv, VH1,etc.)
So why did Natalee go on this trip? Get real she went to PARTY, to Drink, to Gamble, to carouse. All of these things are Not Suggested Behavior in the bible.

I need to chill? Well, that just sums up exactly my point...Parent!

140 kids go away to a foreign country to party and drink, and most likely for the first time in their lives. We are talking teenagers that, according to Beth were just celebrating their graduation. Now when a teenager is brought up to be a successful scholastic, it doesn't go without alot of supervision and control by the parents. I've brought up 2, so far successful boys. When parents are able to acheive this with their children, it is totally niave to let them go off as a very niave individual into a foreign country.

Don't tell me to chill on that. I take my children very seriously and I am pointing out where this whole mess started. This sorta stuff today, needs to stop! Sending niave, well educated students off to something that is totally out of their realm is pure bullshit in my opinion.

I think 50% of them know exactly what happened to Natalee, who murdered her, who buried the body and who moved it; and who ultimately got rid rid of it forever. If one person reveals it, it's a domino effect. Almost everyone in the gov't, police department is a particpant to some degree, either with-holding evidence or claiming they know nothing; and if the world found out - they would embargo Aruba till the sun didn't shine anymore. The entire gov't of Aruba participated in Natalee Holloways disappearance.

At some point, Beth and family will have to decide which is more important to them:

1) Getting their daughter back in any way, shape, fashion or form

or

2) Worrying about what will help or hurt the legal case in Aruba.

I know which one I would choose if I were the parent hunting my child. In the end, after all was said and done, I would want my daughter back. That would be the primary goal.

That bring said, Beth has "attempted" to play by the Aruban rules to no avail for almost three months. While I may not agree with hers and Jugs actions on occasion, I do understand them.

Beth's confronting Deepak is not so strange, she has been confrontational from the very first night, finding Joran's home, and when she saw him the next day, she confronted him, so it is not surprising what she did. If I thought someone was responsible for my child's disappearance, I would likely do the same, you may have noticed, I am not a person to walk away from an issue.
I just think she should have told the media to turn off the cameras, or if she knew where he worked, gone there without telling anyone. I haven't seen the film, but I think if she did it gently, letting her pain show, rather than in anger, she might accomplish more. What would Deepak ever say with the cameras right there?
What could she possibly have thought she would accomplish by doing it that way? If they have done what she suspects, then she is not going to work on their guilt by threats, but more by letting them see the damage they have done.
By the way, yes, you can get a restraining order in Aruba.
