People shouldn't ignore the good news, when it's there. It's important, too.
RENO, Nev. — An 8-year-old girl who authorities said was abducted by a convicted sex offender (search) celebrated her safe return home by sharing a group hug with her mother and older brother, and declaring "I missed you guys."
Clutching a Teddy bear and wearing sunglasses, the girl flew from San Diego to Reno on Sunday, two days after she and Fernando Aguerro (search) were found staying in a shelter in Ensenada (search). "I missed you guys," the girl said shortly after arriving at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
"Home is good. It's great to be home."

They should castrate these pedophiles.

I love happy endings. I wish all stories of this nature would end up like this one and like Sasha Groene's.

Shari-
I agree w/ you wholeheartedly. My co-worker and I say that if we were in charge, we'd have an island to ship all these sickos off to and would make sure there were plenty of sharks in the water so none of these pedophiles could ever escape off the island!! I do not believe there is a cure for them; even with meds.

Once a cheat always a cheater.

Once a pedophile, always a pedophile. May they all rott in hell.

Even the devil doesnt want them. Filthy creatures.
Coolbeans-- Let all the prison guards call out "Short Eyes" as they walk down the path.

Anthrax Island would be a good place to send them, everyone of them.

GO UNR wolf pack! Sorry just had to say hello to all others from reno! I volunteer with special olympics with the little girl's neice. What a horrible tragedy! Just shows you how you can't trust people that well. What a pathetic person to be at church scouting people for his next victim!

Sad but true, women who care for their children need to choose more carefully.

Clint, you are so RIGHT. Every single mom (and dad) should make a sign in bronze of those words and hang it up on the wall!! Everytime I hear another report of some live-in boyfriend/girlfriend who has abused or murdered a child, I am livid and sick. I always wonder WHY, WHY, WHY do women/men persist in leaving defenseless kids alone with these people?? I am a single mom and I DO NOT let non-family in MY house, plain and simple. There will be time enough down the road when my children are older and not vulnerable. If that time doesn't come, so be it. I would MUCH rather die single than have anyone hurt my kids.

And for those who might say, "You are paranoid!" You know what--Paranoid is safe. I'd rather be a paranoid old spinster, than someone who lives with the guilt that someone they allowed into their home hurt, or even killed their child.
I guess I sound dramatic, but the daily news supports my concern 100%.
I cannot be too careful. I walk my children to the busstop, I do not let them ride bikes unnattended, they DO NOT go to the park alone, movies, nothing. I am always there.
