Dave Holloway Fund

I'm unaware as to how funds from The Natalee Holloway Fund linked in forum headers is managed. I have become aware that there is another fund established for Dave Holloway, who some say is experiencing some financial strain as regards this tragedy. I do not know that to be the case. But I will post that fund's information here and start including it in headers for the forums.

We do not know what the divorce settelment was or who got what. Neither Beth or Dave are getting anything out of this. We do not know what the respective families financial situation was on May 30. Beth and Dave may not love each other and perhaps not even like each other; however, they have two things in common their love for Natalee and their desire to find her. The money donated to the various trust are for searching, private investigators, plane tickets, meals, rooms and posters etc. I do not think that anybody is profiting from this case. Dave may simply have less financial resources than Beth.

These seem like they're all wonderful decent folks, yet, it also appears like there's a division between the Holloways and Twittys. This may be a normal thing in divorced people, living in different states, or a lack of communication due to the crazed circumstances.

It would really be disturbing to know that only Beth and Jug are being aided by the money we've sent to the fund for the family. We will probably never know the truth, even if that were the case, since Dave is too dignified to air his family's private affairs.

Maybe they justify it by thinking Dave has a larger private income, and are not aware of how this has drained him? If there is a way to donate directly to Dave, I will appreciate the opportunity to donate money. I feel that's the least I can do.

I can't imagine that Beth and Jug would not help him out if they were being funded by donations intended for this purpose. It would be deeply disappointing to me to see that be the case.

Appreciate Dan's bringing this to light so we can help Dave. He's an amazing guy.

Thanks Dan! I had wondered where to donate for Dave. I don't believe Dave's wife works but rather is a homemaker and cares for their young children.

I do wonder how Matt, Natalee's brother is doing (I think that is his name). Greta's blog talked about the Twitty's weekend activities at home this weekend and Jug said during the interview that he wanted Beth to come to get her son ready for school to start. Three days wasn't much time to do that.

That poor boy must be going through hell right now with his sister missing, family gone, etc. I hope he has a good support system and a family member to stay with during this time. any insight on this?

It is really counter-productive to slander Beth or Dave. Who is to say what you might do as a parent. I would be unglued, unbalanced and ballistic knowing if my beautiful daughter was missing. They are both a class act and have different roles in the investigation. We might take a moment to praise their efforts, instead of denegrating their actions. We all make mistakes. I have total RESPECT for both Beth and Dave. It is a pity that Natalee has not been found. Name calling has never helped anyone. Give it a rest folks and look for the positive. I can't imagine the anguish, frustration, hopes up and down, that are dashed must be doing to them. May a kind and loving Heavenly Father comfort them during this time. I will be saddened should they have to just let it go, just as John Walsh and his wife have had to do with no body of the son Adam. Kindness should be extolled to them both.

Dave's 2nd grader attends school with my daughter. At a school function tonight, it was announced that the child would receive one of four scholarships to attend school next year. Someone had said Dave may not be able to meet tuition for the coming year. This newly established scholarship fund is the result of donations in memory of a student that lost his life prematurely two years ago. In addition to the scholarship fund, there was an open house for the new Athletic Field House bearing the deceased's name. A $1 million dollar facility built with private monies.

Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

you got that right. these families are getting along just fine under harsh circumstances. both dave's and beth's funds have been out there from the beginning. where do you people think the reward money is coming from anyway. i'm sure they are sharing the money to some degree, however it's actually none of our business. it was very nice of dan to put dave's fund on here too. some of you guys are a bunch of gossip troublemaking twisted freaks.

The brother of Natalee may be staying with his grandparents. I have never heard anyone mention the grandparents of Natalee. But then again they may not be alive.

I will not judge either Beth or Dave because I don't know either of them personally if Dave needs money for some reason than he should let people know. Maybe his church can call on other churches in his state and in other states to donate to the Dave Holloway fund. The South is very generous and the funds will be collected.

It goes both ways. There is no body, no proof of a murder. We don't know what forensic and actual evidence the authorities have, or have any transcripts/audio/video of the "interrogations" of suspects.

More hair on duct tape found today in Aruba. Is it from the same guy who supposedly taped his hair down when he wind-surfed in the area? I never did understand why anyone would TAPE their hair down. Why not use a rubber band, etc.? Seems tape would pull your hair out. Anyway, the authorities have taken it to the lab for investigation. I have not forgotten Dave Holloway. I think of him often and sometimes think that Beth and Jug Twitty exclude him from interviews. I live in Birmingham Alabama and I know it is now April of 2007 and the authorities have not solved this mystery yet. This has still got to be a sad time for all especially Beth since she and Jug have divorced. Her marriage might hsve been saved if she had just put her faith in God and remained at hom as time elapsed since Natalee disappeared.
