Damning Statement in Natalee Holloway Case Publshed In Diario
From a cable network news source:
Aruban newspaper Diario published what the newspaper says is a signed police interview with Joran van der Sloot in which van der Sloot says Deepak Kalpoe raped, killed, and burried Natalee Holloway.
The Diario has been reporting on this document for some time but have been accused by competing local media for making it up. The item was published verbatim today. Jossy Manur assures claims it is a direct copy of the police document, obtained through one of his sources. It has not been independently verified.
Translation of Declartion from Dutch: The suspect J.A.P. (Joran) van der Sloot walked with us (the police) a little bit further on and he declared to have suspicions that the suspect D. Kalpoe did bury the girl there somewhere.
According to the suspect J.A.P. van der Sloot, the suspect D. Kalpoe had returned to the girl after having left her sleeping on the beach. To our question to the suspect J.A.P. van der Sloot what he thought had happened between the girl Natalee Holloway and the suspect D. Kalpoe, he declared that he thought that the suspect D. Kalpoe raped and killed the girl.
Thus written by us, under oath made under our testimony, closed and signed in Oranjestad on June 13th, 2005.
The signature is obscured.

oh give me a break - jossy is about as reliable as ms cleo and her psychic friends....................and if this so why is deepak not in jail....yeah joran left natalee alone and asleep on a beach righhhhttttttt.............what happened tot he version where he admitted to raping her? the one beth supposedly has that she probably got from jossy too...........I wish someone would just slap a gag order on him

Jossy is going to ruin this case if he continues to release police records for public viewing. This is just another reason for the Aruban court to throw the case out.

Even if it is a true document, it is only Joran speculating about what happened.

think now....within 3 weeks jossy has said that joran admitted to raping and burying natalee and he had that confession, then he said he had a witness see him deepak and satish at the pond, then one who sawe the dumping of a body at the landfill, now a confession that says joran said deepak raped and killed natalee - JOSSY IS FULL OF IT
Posted by: bella | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 04:26 PM
you know, I am here because I support NATALEE - but at this point she is about the only one I support - I am sick of seeing beth and jug on tv every day I am sick of jossy sick ofaruba and their screw ups and lies - the only person I see acting with any dignity and not contradicting himself every five minutes is Dave Holloway
Posted by: bella | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 04:28 PM
Jossy is one of the few people that are pushing this case forward in Aruba. Without him, there'd be no digging in the landfill and the public pressure to get a result would not be nearly as strong.
jossy is distracting them by having them dig up landfills etc - do you see nay body coming out of the pond or the landfill ? no
Posted by: bella | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 04:30 PM
So, was Joran further questioned regarding why he
had these suspicions?
Posted by: Justice for Natalee | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 04:35 PM
Me,
I am only quoting what the document says:
"According to the suspect J.A.P. van der Sloot, the suspect D. Kalpoe had returned to the girl after having left her sleeping on the beach. To our question to the suspect J.A.P. van der Sloot what he thought had happened between the girl Natalee Holloway and the suspect D. Kalpoe, he declared that he thought that the suspect D. Kalpoe raped and killed the girl."
Besides, if Joran had walked home, as he says, he couldn't have actually witnessed the crime, so it must be speculation.

The Diario newspaper is very reliable if one tires from using Charmin or Quilted Northern, but aside from that, I don't see it being very useful. Jossy's batting average is .000 so far with two invisible witnesses and this current "document" that NBC News hasn't been able to corroborate...
I think you're reaching, Me...
Thanks for sharing the report, Dan! Keep 'em coming!

I don't think that should have been published even if it is true. I think
it will hurt the case. Why would he publish that, maybe he is like The US
Enquirer, anything for a response. I do think Deepak is guilty, but that is
not a good move there.

Jgirl, I think it's done with gossip instead of being done with proof. I'm not sure what types of press rules they have...

It doesn't matter what they tell. They are going to get released, when they do they won't make it 30 days, there's peops on the island waiting for them to be released and when they are they're going to get capped, I'm surprised Paulaus hasn'nt been capped yet, I think they are waiting for Joran so Joran and Daddy can go together. The bros can go together too.

I think Deepak is quilty. What is wrong with the cops in aruba can someone be accused of committing a crime and stay free and one profess his inocence and remain in jail. Its all a cover up their just trying to create more drama there in the final days before Joran is released, trying to side track the procecutor and police.

These transcripts should have never been published (if they are real that is) because this is the kind of evidence that get's thrown out in court.
Yeah Jossy is your friend Beth (NOT).

Actually, this "statement" does not negate any of the so-called previous confessions.
jvds could still have drugged and attacked NH, and left her on a lounge chair as planned.
The initial attack could very well have taken place at the pond, then they drove to the beach to a more acceptable "drop-off" point. (Beach chair by Marriott) depak could have come back and made another attempt, possibly on an NH who now was hysterical and who began to fight back. Then all were involved in quick burial and a reburial a day later.
All involved are trying to dance around the truth, so you have to look for bit's of the truth within each statement.

Stranger things have happened. This could be true, who knows? This tree has more limbs than a 100 year old Magnolia in the deep south.
Even with this signed statement,if true, they wouldn't have evidence to arrest Deepak based on JVDS' opinion and thoughts.
I do find it interesting that everyone, including the Holloway/Twitty's have been pegging Deepak as guilty as Joran ( and leaving Satish out of it) for quite some time now. This actually supports that theory.
Seems to me that satish could be the easiest one to break, and would likely be irritated with his brother and friend bringing all of this heat upon them. It's conceivable to me that big brother could have told little brother the truth, but now it is 2 against one in Kalpoe's protecting their blood...

Aw, Dan! This makes no sense at all.
Why would ALE let Deepak just walk out of jail, and possibly, legally, right off the damned island forever, if there was a statement like that in evidence?
Joran is in custody; therefore, Jossy is...mistaken, or ALE has better evidence than we know.

I think there are all kinds of crap going on to throw off the investigation, that report is just the latest, and possibly being led by Pauly boy, very sad. Kharma, Paul, Kharma... Now the witness disappears, maybe he didn't want to continue to lie??? This whole thing is just so sad and all the mishaps in the investigation, pretty damn sad...

Good grief. If this was a serious deposition then, Deepak would have remained in custody.
I'm getting sick of everyone lying in this case. No one in this case has credibility. Unfortunately, Beth has lost credibility after the stunt with Deepak. Not the action, but, her 22 stories about it afterwards. She's twisted the truth more than a few times, and so has Jug. The only truthful person seems to be Dave Holloway, like a previous poster stated.
I'm totally disillusioned with the case. I feel horrible about what may have happened to Natalee. But, her mom and stepdad have told so many exaggerated stories, and have become so Jerry Springer-like in how they've behaved, I have no more interest in this case.
God bless Natalee holloway. If she's alive, I hope she can find her way home. But, I don't trust anyone else involved in this case, even her mom.
Don't mean to offend anyone who likes Beth. I just don't feel her anymore. I'm tired of seeing her, too.
Thanks for the updates Dan. You're the best!

Blah blah blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhh....AGAIN!!!! I get on this website in hopes of something "real" happening! But, that is not the case. It's unfortunate that Joran is going to walk free in a few weeks because they have "nothing." That is very sad! It's a cover-up and nothing is going to stick at this point! It's unfortunate; but true!! I would do WHATEVER it takes to find answers as Beth Holloway is doing. Keep doing it Beth!!! Time is precious right now - they need a miracle to happen and they need one NOW!!! Just as Laci Peterson appeared to bring justice to that mad man; Natalee is going to make sure those boys pay as well. I truly believe that! Miracles DO happen...

Could it be possible that Jossy Mansur is involved with the mafia/criminal element somehow and so he hopes to push this off on the three boys (so as to get LE off his or his family's back)? I read an article that the mafia owned the Holiday Inn Casino for a long time and that a couple of brothers/cousins were basically exiled from the island but were allowed to return last October. Just my two cents, probably not worth much in a case like this with all the twists and turns already.

I say charge all three as co-conspirators and let them lie under oath in front of the judge. Undoubtably, the stories will fall apart under intensive examination and the truth will finally be reconciled. Can you see them refusing to answer questions in front of the judge? We can all speculate until the cows come home; and then some more, and we'll be still guessing tomorrow.

As to all who criticize the Holloways and their behavior, I have one thing to say, GET A LIFE! I applaud her efforts, theatrics, and unwillingness to back down. You all should be as fortunate as Natalee to have a parent as caring and concerned as Beth. Maybe that's what the problem is, you've never been that fortunate.
Posted by: R Nelson | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 05:18 PM
i haven't walked in beth's shoes; and hope to God i never do (where this situation is concerned) but, i agree...as a parent i would do anything and everything possible to find my child and bring justice to those involved! i could only imagine what that woman is going through day and night. could you imagine laying in your bed at night; when it's so very quiet and having such horrific thoughts run through your mind; not having answers and knowing what you know??? yes, i would be angered, yes i would be frazzled, yes i would be determined and yes, i wouldn't care what people thought...she is human and is hurting and her daughter has been taken from her, PERIOD!! so, lighten up people - let the woman "freak out" if that's what she has to do! dear God...

I have one thing to say, GET A LIFE!

Natalee Holloway Coverage "Is Getting Downright Ridiculous," Cooper Says
Last night on 360, Anderson Cooper took aim at the "media madness" surrounding the Natalee Holloway case. From the transcript:
COOPER: Well, in Aruba, not much happened in the 11th week of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, but you'd never know that if you listen to just about every other cable news channel.
We did a number of stories after the American teen went missing and her family's anguish is and hard to imagine and we understand why they want the story to remain in the news, but we've been kind of stunned, because every night, our cable competitors devote hours and hours to this story, even though, sadly, nothing new is happening. We decided to start tracking their coverage, because to be honest, it's getting downright ridiculous. Here's what the other guys were reporting just last night...
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
BILL O'REILLY, FOX NEWS HOST: Not much new in the Natalee Holloway mystery.
RITA COSBY, MSNBC HOST: The big mystery, of course, is taking place on the island of Aruba.
DAN ABRAMS, MSNBC HOST: Let's go to Aruba. It's getting ugly. Natalee Holloway's mother is fighting back.
JOE SCARBOROUGH, MSNBC HOST: Meanwhile, a new battle is brewing between Natalee's mom and a key suspect. We brought you that story last night.
GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: Tonight, Natalee Holloway's mother just received a tip in the search for her daughter.
Does this tip tend to corroborate existing theories or is this a new theory that's separate and apart from the three who have been suspects thus far?
BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, MOTHER OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY: Right now, I really don't want to comment on the nature of it, right now.
SCARBOROUGH: You're not going to believe it, courthouse filings today and Joran's lawyer's claiming that the Dutch boy's human rights were being violated. Are you kidding me?
VAN SUSTEREN: In terms of this tip, one-to-10 scale, 10 being the most helpful, how do you possibly rate this tip?
TWITTY: There's no way I can, Greta. There's no way I can.
O'REILLY: It's a phenomenon. It's a phenomenon.
VAN SUSTEREN: Are people responding or does it sort of seem unrelated to the tips coming in?
TWITTY: You know, I don't know, Greta.
O'REILLY: ...2 1/2 months, I've never seen in my 30-year career, a crime story covered this way, ever. It's a mystery. It's a soap opera. It's a reality show and each night, people come in for the latest. I thought it would dissipate. I thought it would go away. It has not.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
COOPER: It truly has not. The only thing we can honestly report to you tonight is that a young woman is still missing. A family is still in anguish. Until something else happens, until there really are developments, we'll leave the rest to the other guys.
We're going to hold you to that, Anderson!
Posted by: Kent | Friday, August 12, 2005 at 05:25 PM
This afternoon, a Fox News spokesperson responded to Anderson Cooper's Natalee Holloway "media madness" segment: "Perhaps Anderson should worry more about the future of CNN and the meltdown going on there instead of pontificating on what the number one cable news network is doing." Other reactions:
> BuzzMachine: "He broke an unwritten rule of news: He criticized his competitors for overdosing on the Natalee Holloway story. Of course, CNN and Cooper can be accused of overdosing on a few stories of their own (ahem). But I'll take a little news self-criticism, even if it is self-serving."
> "Before Mr. Cooper can really claim to be holier than thou, how come none of the clips were from Nancy Grace? Or does his integrity end when he needs to criticize his own company? What a self-righteous hypocrite," an e-mailer says.
> "This excerpt is exactly why CNN is in 3rd place," an e-mailer says: "Until something else happens, until there really are developments, we'll leave the rest to the other guys."

Ashleigh, I can understand where you are coming from, but let's face it, where would this case be IF Beth were not doing what she is doing.
For one, there were be 2 innocent men in jail and Joran would be getting ready to leave for Florida to attend college.
Yes, some people do think Beth is stepping over her limits, but where would this case be if she were not involved?

Hey Joran,
you are much more intelligent than Deepak. This moron lost his chance to accuse you. So if the body "happens" to be found (maybe a little anonymous clue could help), Deepak could take all the blame. Indeed Joran, nobody saw you going out of C&C with Natalee. You came back in the night to your apartment and told your buddy that nothing happened. You will be cleared man. Just need the body now.
You will be happy
Dady, mom will be happy
All the Dutch elite will be happy
Aruba will come back as it was

I want to see the first confession that Juran made where "something bad happened" as said by Dompig(sp) and was leading to the body.
Although when that statement was made, it was retracted giving whomever time to move the body to another location.
As macabre as it sounds, I wouldnt be surprised if the players are shifting the dead body all over the island to keep it from being found.
At this point, they cant put it in the ocean(if it isnt already there), everyone is being watched or suspected.
