As I said, I've taken personal interest in this one. (I played football in high school against Mountain Brook HS)

It is just an amazing situation all the way around. I just hope and pray they can get to her and get her while she is alive, unless those three goons really did do something to her. I still don't believe it, although maybe---still would like to see her return home alive!

I have two thoughts after watching the Fox line up tonight.

1. How likeable these Holloways and Twittys are, and how well they represent the best of America at a time of great personal adversity.

2. How cruel it is that justice is unlikely to be served in this case, adding to the blow of the loss of a child. Thanks to the initial fumbles by the investigation, the prosecution's case is weak.

This is a total CROCK! There are very strong gambling rules AGAINST locals. 1st of ALL - A local is not allowed in a casino more than 4 times a month. I'm sure that Joran can get a way with it every once it a while, but after a few to many times, the controllers would recognize him. And, there is no WAY Joran has credit in the Casino. The phone # are in www.arubayp.com call and ask for the credit managers for each of the casinos. Sounds like another P-eye find.

I heard the Twitty's comment tonight about Joran possibly having an open line of credit in some of the casinos. IF this is true, this is very interesting indeed, especially for a 17 year-old that isn't of legal age to gamble, even in Aruba. IF this is true,is his father insane, loaded, broke because of his and his son's gambling habit, or "connected"? As with this whole case, there is a lot of speculation but few facts, except of course that Natalee is still missing and was last seen with Joran, Deepak, and Satish.

And I bet you are right on the line of credit deal and I would also go so far as to say there was some "co-signing" going on from above for PVDS to be able to sign off for JVDS, if you ask me.

The whole thing stinks---the maddening part is that there has to be a way to get more intelligence going in other countries/places to help the family out. What about the people who when to the Netherlands? The casino people? and what about Venezuela? Why no reports from there?

thanx, tjts what i was thinking/hearing. This is the frist Audio, to me I always thought Natalee would have a higer voice, dont know why but I did. One thing for sure those kids in the video are the sma eones on the trip, they have been a group for a VERY LONG time together.
And obsevation, dont flame OK...I have always thought that a close friend would Never let another friend get in a strangers car, but this group must have been like this for a while now. Meaning they would not feel uneasy if anothe girl went away with a stranger. I just have alwasy felt something about the fact that Natalee didnt have a VEry BEst Friend that would have caught on that she was missing that night...an observation, no judgement made...in this statement..

Looks like they would have looked out for each other more; but, in another country there is always alot going on, alot of new stuff going on.

We were pretty adventurous growing up in Alabama, but also VERY sheltered. Meaning that nobody travelled much to other places, other than to Panama City, Florida---and that was even in college. And, then the place was smalltown USA.

Here, they are dealing with a situation in the Caribbean.....near South America.....worlds apart.

Manage Alerts | What Is This? ORANJESTAD, Aruba (CNN) -- Aruban authorities investigating the disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway are looking for a pair of size-14 tennis shoes that suspect Joran van der Sloot might have lost, a police official said.

"He says he might have lost a pair of sneakers on the beach the night Natalee disappeared," said lead police investigator Roy Tromp. "That's what he claims in one of his many statements."

Tromp said the 17-year-old suspect described the shoes as white and blue and brand new.

"He claimed he lost them in the area of Fisherman's Hut, but we [are] looking at other places, including the pond," he said.

The pond was drained last week after a witness said he had seen Van der Sloot and two other named suspects -- brothers Satish and Deepak Kalpoe -- nearby. Authorities said Saturday they found nothing in the pond.

Fisherman's Hut is an area of a beach near the Marriott and Holiday Inn hotels. Holloway was staying at the Holiday Inn.

She was last seen May 30 leaving a bar with Van der Sloot and the Kalpoes, all of whom live on the island. All three were arrested June 9, but a judge ordered the Kalpoes released on July 4.

No one has been formally charged in the teen's disappearance.

In one of multiple versions the three have told police about what happened that night, they said they left Holloway at a beach near Fisherman's Hut.

Police told CNN they don't know whether Van der Sloot is telling the truth, but they are now asking the public's help to look for the shoes to assist with their investigation.

They did not explain why they are now making the search public.

Van der Sloot is expected to be questioned again Tuesday, this time by Dutch investigators who are behavioral specialists, according to police.

Authorities said Van der Sloot will be transported from the prison where he is currently being held to a police station for the interview.

Police on Friday night used searchlights and cameras on the ground and from the air to look at areas of interest under the remaining water in the pond.

The search yielded nothing, authorities said. On Saturday morning, divers searched one spot in the middle of pond, but came up with nothing.

Police have again downplayed a witness who came forward a few days after Holloway's disappearance and claimed to have seen what could have been the body of a woman being dumped at a landfill.

Police said the vehicle described by that man was not there that night or in the surrounding days. In addition, they said, authorities searched the area twice and found nothing.

Nevertheless, they support another search of the landfill by a private group.

EquuSearch, the Texas-based volunteer group conducting that search, has moved 25,000 to 30,000 square feet of garbage, one of its members said.

The group will return to the landfill Tuesday with three to six donated bulldozers, he said.

Holloway, an 18-year-old honors student from suburban Birmingham, was in Aruba with classmates to celebrate their high school graduation when she disappeared.

Her mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, has returned home to Alabama after spending about two months in Aruba during the search for her daughter. (Full story)

Weren't Paul and Joran in the casino in the early hours of night before Natalee disappeared? They went home afterwards, and Joran slipped out of the house to go to Carlos 'n Charlie's. I remember Paul confirming that he and Joran were at the casino. If Paul owed a lot of money to the casino, it could be possible that they sold Natalee for money. I watched Greta tonight and Beth didn't go into much details about the casino. Beth seemed to throw the notion out there.

Ok, so new developing information on Joran having a tab with the casinos. First of all, if this is the first or second, or third leak of what Beth and Jug have to tell the world and we will be shocked. I am not! So what, is this anything new? No, because he already was known to frequent the casino's. Perhaps, just perhaps he had a running tab because he was a frequent? Again, this proves nothing. A running tab at a local casino that he frequents often? C'mon Beth and Jug, I hope you have better than that.

i dunno anymore...but i tell you what, if joran did have an open line of credit to a casino, thats pretty damn ridiculous if you ask me. how does he get that open line of credit...even if paulus cosigned for him, he's still underage. pulling some strings if you ask me. and what parent makes it seem ok to gamble habitually? perhaps one that is addicted to gambling and doesnt know any better? how much debt did father and son pile up together? this mystery just gets weirder and weirder every day.

i didn't have much of a problem understanding natalee in the video. in fact, i think she spoke pretty maturely for her age, whatever it may have been at the time of the video.

I have to say, I am growing more and more disgusted with Beth's path of finding her daughter. She is giving such personal images of her daughter and video to the world. How upset is she really? My god, I couldn't give the footage away to the press as she has done.

- Kids coming in and going out at all hours at Joran's house and no one seeming to know anything about it - a teen who openly boasted online at multiple websites about sexual activity and again no parent having a clue - While I don't find any of it shocking, it certainly looks like no one was putting much effort into parenting in his family. It appears Daddy VS was busy being minor league important and Mama was just oblivious.

However this turns out his parents should be investigated for child neglect.
