What exactly did Joran's ex have to say? Unfortunately, I missed the interview. Let me guess..."he would never do anything like this, he is so sweet, blah, blah, blah..."

That is EXACTLY what she said, Gator!
She just thought the whole thing was so unfair to poor poor Joran...after all, "he is just a kid."

"It is sad to see teens acting so provocatively, while being so young. Are there any decent adults among them? What is going on in Aruba?"
They pick it up from television, American channels. It happens everywhere.
"It is overwhelming to view all of these sites, and it paints a picture of total sexual chaos in Aruba."
Above said.
"Also, the whole island probably knows the truth."
I would've talked long time ago if I knew anything. I'm not letting a snotty little dutch boy sink my island.
"It is like the whole world is preying upon any innocence still alive within society. Children cannot even be allowed to keep their sexual innocence. Young people are being hooked in so fast to this mainstream world of sexual perversion, it is sickening."
Welcome to the world today.

I just read on Fox that the mom got a harrassment claim against her...
That's crazy. They should be glad it wasn't me down there if it had anything to do with me and my daughter, and I'm a very nice person. That's just normal mom stuff.
An old-fashioned Southern expression (and maybe elsewhere)...is...the most dangerous place in the world is the place between a mother and her children.

Shadoworm, Paulus Van Der Sloot probably won't find that fake tickle site you posted too funny.
As for BTH at the internet cafe - good for her! She seems intelligent enough to have consulted with a number of legal experts before going to the cafe. It seems to have been a well planned confrontation of a likely (guilty) suspect. At least when all is said and done she will know she did all she could to try to find Natalie.

What is the deal with these Tickle sites and the folks in Aruba? It seems to be a big thing there. I had never even heard of them until this case developed. Someone even posted Tito's site.
Maybe it is a marketing strategy for Aruba. It must be a great way to connect with the rest of the world, living on that little island. Seems to me that have too much of an emphasis on sex and being sexy though. Thoughts?

I looked around at her site. She really is a beautiful girl. Some of the comments suggest that she is a very good hearted person, kind and likeable. She apparently does a lot of volunteer work with the Red Cross.

The link to her tickle site was posted on another discussion board here. Forget which one but was posted within last week.

Shadoworm, regardless of what he and his son may have done, that just isn't right.

I agree. I think you have possibly committed a crime here, if nothing else, a violation of your internet service providers regulations. Most important violations though are moral laws.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think these personal web sites are dangerous for kids in general? It's like a playground for predators. My own teen argues that it's safe because others can't view her site unless she gives them permission...and I point out that Joran, his brother, Deepak, Satish, Melody, Ruben, Fleur, Abhi, Sara (and all the other pin-up)...etc. DIDN'T give us permission, but we're seeing them in full color.
Is there any regulation on these sites?

I am still not accustomed to this method of connecting. It seems that with Aruba so small, that it is kind of an in thing to do and they all post on each other's sites. They aren't gonna be taking off in a bus to meet someone in another nation posting there, and most likely they already know the people from Aruba posting, with some of the comments almost sounding like racy yearbook comments.
I don't think I would approve of a teenage girl in US having a tickle or even a type of meet me site, unless I could be sure she wouldn't try to take off and meet somebody. Our country is just too big for that. What happened to a pen pal? This is like having hundreds of them with no real intensity to actually know one.
Everything has gone global with the ready INTERNET access for so many. Great but dangerous too.

I just read on the CBS website that Joran admitted to sexually assaulting Natalee and that's why Beth went to the Cafe to talk to Deepak and understand his involvement he wouldnt answer her anbd avoided her eyes....is this true?

===================================
Beth and Jug said this a few nights ago, claimed he made this statement the first night they went to his house. Most of the conversation between Joran and PIs was in Dutch. I am having trouble believing this new claim by Beth/Jug, even though I do think this is what they concluded, different than what he actually said . This is why I think this.
From the beginning, it was known that Joran said that he and Natalee had sex. I never had any impression that anything he had said implied anything other than consensual sex. From the first night, BT said things like, Natalee would never have done that willingly so he must have raped her.
This past week, for the first time. they claim he said on the first night that he raped her, but I don't believe it. He's not that stupid. And, I don't think he did.
I listened carefully to the interview with the Twitty attorney tonight when she was quizzed about this. Her response was rather vague and she threw in that Natalee was not that kind of girl (ie, to have consensual sex.) I think this whole new revelation (2 months into it) is still just the parents believe that if they had sex, and Joran said from beginning that they did, then they don't thing is was mutual. That is very different that a confession by Joran to confirm their belief.
Also, Dave Hollaway, who seems very balanced and honest, not prone to exaggeration much even though obviously sharing the same pain, did not confirm that he had knowledge to support this. He carefully made statements to defer to Beth, but not discredit any statement Beth or Jug said.

You just read it on a website? Do you have the link to the site??
Posted by: hardyandtiny | Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 04:54 AM
There is an old saying, "Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up." It certainly applies to most of the people who post. They are speaking from no evidence just a lot of rumor. I think most of the women are feminist and hate men by the way they seem to see St. Beth and all the men are devils.

For crying out loud. Let me make this clear. I did not create a fake Tickle site for Paulus. If you read what I posted I said "In Melody's cool people there is this profile that I had not seen before." I posted the link because it disturbed me that there would be a profile that is obviously making fun of a not very funny situation. Now here is the real question that perhaps a registered user of a Tickle site can tell me, how do the pictures of "Cool People" get onto your Tickle site. Do you select them or is it random based on the number of times a Tickle site is looked at? If a Tickle site user selects the profiles that appear on their photo page in "Cool People" then why did Melody select that profile. If it is random then there is nothing sinister about it showing up when I was browsing her pictures. Either way shonane atricala@comcast.net and fried gsfried@yahoo.com please feel free to request that Tickle.com delete the site and prosecute whom ever created that site as it should be remove on the basis of being very bad tatse if not slander.
