This below came in through the mail. I simply can't do much more content than I am doing now, nor do I plan to turn this web log into a central location for particular types of information, or stories.
But ... well, it's hard to say no to certain things. But I will. So, please, do not bombard me with similar appeals. And I will not be continuing with additional content. Perhaps someone else who has or wishes to start a web log will.
6/30/2005 —A new website has been developed to highlight the plight of Shasta and Dylan Groene, missing from their home since May 16, 2005: http://www.shastaanddylan.com/. Nine-year-old Dylan Groene and his 8-year-old sister Shasta were last seen alive in mid-May at the home where their 13-year-old brother, mother, and her boyfriend were found beaten to death.
Every day it seems we see more and more stories about children who go missing. You can personally help to find these missing children. At the bottom of the main web page at www.shastanddylan.com, you can print a copy of the flyer describing the missing children. Please post this flyer in a public place and please include this website in all your emails.
Someone knows something. Please don't keep silent.
If you have any information regarding their whereabouts, please contact:
• National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST)
• Kootenai County Sheriff's Office (Idaho) (208) 446-1300 or (208) 446-2292
• Their father, Steve Groene 1-208-818-0318
A $100,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of these children. Please don't let them be forgotten.

Thanks Dan. This is one I've been watching and hope answers are found soon. You are getting so many readers/visitors from around the world now that this might reach someone new.
I agree you won't be able to say yes to all, and hope others will understand as well.
You do well with your site and naysayers should remember that it is just that, "your site" which entitles you to your opinions.
Keep up the good work, my friend.

Hey,
Okay here's a link for anyone who can take a couple of minutes to check and see if you recognize anyone in your home state.

Hey guys! My wonderful friends put this site together with the blessings of Steve Groene and the Kootenai County Sheriff's dept. Please pass this along to everyone you know. The word needs to stay out there along with these precious childrens faces. They still need to be found, hope is not lost. Especially with the holiday coming up, there may be more evidence found.

And your point is???
Good links. They give us good perspective on the frequency with which children/people dissappear.

I remember this story. It is aweful..It seems to have just died unlike Jessica Lunsford. We have nto heard a word from the dad anymore. I do not know why. The kids have to be somewhere. Thia one is another stumper. Jessie's dad did not let his case die and the news media did not either. I wonder why this case died so fast. ?????

@ MARY:
I guess there's another cover-up.
We should attack the US for this. Geez.

Dan,
Thank you for posting this. I have followed their case along with the natalee holloway case. They unfortunately have not gotten as much press. Someone, somewhere knows where they are.

Just seeing how little comments are posted under this item, it shows clearly that alot of people don't really care about somebodies pain and sorrow when missing a child. I surfed to the website, I hope these kids are found alive and well. What a sad case.

Delores, please give it a chance, it looks like it was just posted in the middle of the night...

Also, some just read and heed but do not comment. I comment very rarely.

I have been baffled by this one being dropped by MSM. Even worse, there's not been much discussion in Blogs. Thank you for posting this, Dan. These children did not make any bad decisions. This makes their disappearance far more important to me than that of NH.

The reason this case isn't getting any more press is because the Law Enforcement community and FBI aren't releasing any new information. They only respond with "we're still getting leads, tips" "we're following up on leads, tips" "this case is a puzzle to peice together" "it's going to take some time to resolve" etc, etc.
It's very frustrating for those of us that have followed it closely. We want the kids found alive, but it's getting less and less likely every day. That's why we thought it necessary to renew interest in the case and start this website. You would think, with as messy as the crime scene was, there would be SOMETHING left behind to identify who possibly could have done that to Brenda, Mark and Slade. It's just so very sad.

Anyone want to bet on the chances that the lie detector administrator who said Mr. Groene "failed" the test will continue on his way and will continue to draw a paycheck with benefits non governmental employees only dream of?
What does it take for government employees to get fired? Why are the huge majority of us paying out more and more for incompetent employees who are held to absolutely no standards?
Mr. Groene deserves a State Dinner in the White House and one of those cushy government jobs to compensate him for the slander tossed at him. His daughter is going to require very expensive theraphy for quite a long time: the least those FBI profilers and lie detector administrators can do is make this now very small family whole financially.
And the rest of us better wake up!
