A headline for any Zevon fans that happen by. But web loggers did make the Times of London. h/t Instapundit.
Here is a round up of web logs from the UK - you should take a look.
Problems posting late this afternoon were likely a result of a republishing I undertook to take some content off of the front page and ultimately quicken overall performance when completed.

Very clever, Dan!
Just from a purely first reaction to the death totals, I would say that the terrorists cannot count the bombings of London as one of their more nasty acts. Could have been much worse. It was also being reported that two devices that had not exploded had been found.
I find their timing to be somewhat idiotic. The world's attention has been drawn to the starving in Africa, and to disrupt a conference that was being pressured to do something about this horrific problem, makes the terrorists and their dastardly deeds seem far less than human, and indeed, sheer idiots.

My hear and prayers go out to the people of London and all over Britain, in fact. This was an awful act that caused so much human suffering, it was disturbing to see the suffering on the news.
What is this world coming to?

Thanks for the link. Sleuth has it perfected! It's almost as though the were sitting around saying to themselves - "we can't allow them to focus anywhere else" - "they must look at us!" - "King of the Mountain" is getting really old!

Sleuth, their timing was what they wanted. They want to break up any efforts at aid in Africa, because they were the benefactors of the aid for so many years, and now the end-around has made its way to cut them off at the pass, and they do not want to be exposed for the money-grubbers they are to the people they were recruiting into their army of hate and cowardice. It's all about power and money. It's not about religion or peace.
