Yes, it is possible for Joran v d Sloot to appeal the sixty day extension. There have been legal wranglings and appeals going on all along. It's a fact, but not a breaking story.
It would require a judge to once again be brought in from Curacao for such a hearing and he could be released if it were ruled so. But that would call for today's judgment to, in effect, be over-turned.

Agree Billy Bob. I've got it on tape as well. Nothing mysterious about it!
Joran won't be released. Even if there's very little evidence. He's got to stay in just for PR reasons!!

When a psychopath kills, they feel no guilt and it does not affect their conscience. If Joran is a psychopath and Natalee died with him, he will blame it on Natalee as it was her fault.
If he is released, he will continue his lifestyle. Probably will not be in Aruba as his family will move off the island. He will eventially get caught and prosecuted. The problem is that there will be quite a number of victims until that time.
Glad to hear Joran is reading the Bible. Hope he is comprehending fully what he is reading however I doubt it. It is all about him and reading the Bible would make him look good in a prison.

if there is shady dealings in Aruba Police and government and VDS are a part of these shady dealings and JVDS is the culprit for NH disappearnce, it would be in the best interest that JVDS "disappeared."
Allowing JVDS to be released from jail and he is allowed to live wont satisy the investigative reporters of USA, they would continue to dig and dig and dig.
All "you ever wanted to know about" corruption, cronyism will be totalled spelled out.
Do anyone really believe the drug dealers and others want all that known?
The VDS family are sweating bullets now.
Where can they go, where can they hide, what can they do to get the spotlight off of them?
To lie at the start of the investigation gave birth to another lie then another lie and so on, those lies compelled bloggers and MSM to dispel and "out" those lies.
PVDS did a disservice to his son by helping and/or encouraging him to lie.
If you are man enough to do the ctime you are man enough to do the time.
This spotlight would dimmed several weeks ago, had the truth been told from the start.
As long as we as bloggers stay on the case and the Twitty/Holloway family stay focused, we will out the truth and other things that Aruba and Holland officials didnt want us to know nor the world.

When I heard that JVDS was reading the Bible I was amazed. Whether it is true or not, time will tell. It could be a life changing experience for him. It has been for many, many people. Whatever your circumstances or whatever SINs you have committed, God is always ready to accept you as you are and give you a new heart to replace the hard heart. It doesn't mean that you will not have consequences for bad choices - but, it does mean you will have a different way of dealing with life. As I said, time will tell.

Anna, thank you
I am still harping on the forensics because if Aruba doesnt have any crime on the island, how and why would they have a forensics unit?
If they have a foresnscs unit that would be saying yes we have crime.
Do they know how to collect forensics?
I saw one person dressed in "white coverall" the rest were in street clothing.
Lets say for the sake of argument, they did collect forensics, who evaluates the results?
There has been so much complicty, corruption and compiracy, who can believe the Police are doing a credible job.

Here in Canada, we have a classification of
" Material Witness ". People can be arrested and
held and have to post bail to get out. This prevents them from fleeing a location and some restictions can also be placed on their movements and associations. Aruba must have something very similar. These Kalpoe brothers will leave and how would they ever get them back ? What is their citizenship ?
