Update 3:55PM EST - Joran's Appeal

Yes, it is possible for Joran v d Sloot to appeal the sixty day extension. There have been legal wranglings and appeals going on all along. It's a fact, but not a breaking story.

It would require a judge to once again be brought in from Curacao for such a hearing and he could be released if it were ruled so. But that would call for today's judgment to, in effect, be over-turned.

I think what Godknows might be trying to say is something like this- the beginning of the verse requests an action HIDE ME-meaning to make invisible; to protect; to shelter from something. In this verse it sounds like protection from people who tell lies or use their words to manipulate and control others like JVDS. they will often try to encourage those around them -ie kalpoe bro.-to engage in deviant or self-destructive behavior. But God hates this type of living(he loves the person but hates the sin) and God will eventually reveal your lies and deception and there will be those that hate you. The destruction that these people leave behind makes others like many on this site stop and think about 'life' and 'death' and 'justice' and on and on and with these questions many people will look to God for answers.

His case probably won't be prosecuted as it will lead to a punishment less than the 10 days he spent detained.

For those that read the bible, and try to adhere to it, somewere it states "Judge not" (in many nicer words, but I tend to remember key items). It's the Natalee Holloway Forum 31 of Riehlworldview.com. Basically, there has been much speculation of a phone call, thought to have been made by Natalee to her mother the night she was abducted. Beth made a comment on air, I think to Greta, when outside the VDS house, "I KNOW this is where my daughter was at 3:15." It is thought that she cannot mention this phone call as then it would be inadmissible as evidence in an Aruban court of law. Posters have also reported that Jug Twitty heard the phone ring "in the middle of the night", but thought it was a wrong number and did not answer it. Beth was at a family event in Arkansa so she did not get the call. The first person that they contacted in Aruba was the owner of the cellphone rental company. They wanted to know if he could trace this call. They played it for him (not on the air) about three times. It is thought that some background noise that was in the call, may have sounded like something she heard at the VBS residence. One poster reports that the Message said. "Mom, help me!" and maybe that there was another girl with her. This has not been confirmed, but there has been much mention of it on the blogs. Hope this helps.

There is some misinformation being repeated here regarding what the mother of NH said on the tape when she and Greta went to the VS home. The mother said "This is were WE were at 3 am."
It is apparent to me that she was talking about when the possie from Bama first arrived at the VDS home. I have it on tape. Good luck to anyone who thinks that NH can be placed at the VDS home based on that piece of tape.
