Typepad Upgrades

Forum 25 should be fine now, though I'll open 26 shortly just in case.

Typepad is the service which hosts this web log. It's been an excellent service compared to many I have seen, including many self-hosted web logs.

They are making significant enhancements this weekend to benefit the web logger, as well as blog readers. They did their best to schedule these upgrades during a holiday weekend, as overall traffic will be down across all blogs.

While I regret any inconvenience, it's somewhat like putting new tires on a car while it's traveling down the road. Performance may suffer on occasion, but the alternative would be to simply shut down completely for two days, or more.

It's likely that you'll see service continue to improve throughout the weekend. Should it prove to be too frustrating for discussion purposes, you can always use Scared Monkeys web boards. We're more friends than competitors, so don't hesitate to go there during the weekend upgrade if you prefer.

I believe some of the enhancements being done here will actually improve discussion forum management and participation, including easier removal of annoying trolls.

Been lurking around for days....love this site. Can you instruct me how to find the different forums you mention? I see Forum 25 and then Forum 24 is mentioned. ...I dont know how to do that trackback either. So far my hands are pretty tied not knowing how to navigate these things.
