The Road Ahead For Beth Twitty

Barring some clear resolution in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, this Birmingham Post-Herald article isn't painting a pleasant picture based upon anther Mother's experience.

Lowery said she thinks Holloway Twitty may have a psychological breakdown, much like she did. For Lowery, the breakdown occurred when she realized that after six months, no one could tell her where her youngest daughter was.

A good reason to bring closure to this family re what has happened to their daughter. Those people know what happened to her...there needs to be pressure put on them to tell what they know. They should not be able to hide behind wealth and prestige. Need to step up to the plate and take responsibility. I think the road ahead for Beth is going to be a very hard one. I've never walked in her shoes and I can't imagine what it would be like. I hope I never ever have to know. No... You all need to remember the old-fashioned expression "what goes around comes around". I am old enough to have seen people "supposedly" get away with some horrible things, as in these situations ("grrr...no fair").

Then, decades later, it comes back to bite them in the *** big time, much bigger than if they had confronted it before. So please remember that, and also keep praying.

I would also like to leave a very pointed comment that nothing was done "wrong" in letting her go to Aruba. Students have been going to other countries for many many decades, even when I was young.

You are quite right, jason1234. Going abroad for educational purposes (as I did) is hardly the same as going to the Caribbean to drink, gamble, and generally do everything that's illegal for 18 year olds to do in the U.S.

These senior trips are just a bad idea, and parents who send their kids on such trips have taken leave of their senses. And I was saying that BEFORE the Holloway case.

It was on Fox news on the Record with Greta and O'Reilly too. Tim Miller said they found what appeared to be a grave site, but it was just a hole in the ground, and it looked that if a body was there it had been moved. It was found in the area that Joran supposely said where they buried the body. Another lead that could of been valuable, if this was discovered in the time period when prior to the Kalpoe brothers and Joran's arrest. Afterall, they had 10 days to destroy all evidence.

I hope that Beth Twitty will work will the school district and encourage them to not send these young people out of the country.

It is a very sad situation. Let me however clear up some misunderstandings. This was not the first time Nathalee has run away from home. She in the past has a history of running away from home. This does not mean this happened now, but it is something to take into account. So far there has been any real evidence to link either of three to the any crime involving Nathalee and no body has been found. And you are still innocent untill proven guilty. I think Beth is not getting any info anymore due to the acquisation she made against the government and people of Aruba. I can understand that to a certain point as the people of Aruba did not commit a crime but through Beths' remarks are punished for it. She also has teamed up with Mr Mamana, a "businessman" from Phillidelphia. This gentleman has a reputation as a loud mouth ruthless individual.Bad choice!!
I hope with everybody else that Nathalee is still allive buth I think what Beth is doing is frustrating the investigation rather then helping it along.

Well, it looks like Beth Twitty was in fact correct when it comes to Joran. I sit here watching 20/20 and I find myself wanting to reach through my televistion screen and smack his smug face. I can't believe he didn't call 911 or the police. All he had to say is that they decided to 'have some fun and then he noticed her acting funny' and no one would have thought anything of it-Natalee would have ended up in a hospital and probably flown home a few days late, but she'd be alive and he'd have saved her life. I'm convinced that Joran raped Natalee and that the rape is the real reason he didn't call authorities, because once Natalee got better, she may remember being raped. Poor Natalee probably had a bad reaction to the high alcohol content in her body. She probably wasn't dead when Joran dumped or had her dumped her out into the ocean. As a mother I actually applaud Beth in never letting Natalee's story fade into oblivion. If she came across as a pain in the ass, so be it-she kept Natalee's name alive and wouldn't roll over and accept that Natalee just fell off of the face of the earth. Good for her for not giving up, regardless of how she came across. I am convinced that Joran is evil after watching tonight's 20/20 and very much hope that he will end up in jail for the rest of his life.

Of course, what authority would do anything at all (about searching the area my dream had mentioned), based on a dream. At the time, I thought they would never believe me. I still think the same way. But now that this situation has arisen again with what may be new evidence, my dream makes all the more sense. As soon as I had that dream, I researched the Internet to find out whether the place existed in the first place, and it did indeed. Furthermore, it is not far at all from Aruba. I had never heard of this place before. I researched the distance between Aruba and the area my dream explained and the two points are not far from each other. Relatively speaking; but if we account for the ocean's current, it makes total sense to me. Furthermore, now that this Joran guy has commented or confessed if you will, that Natalee's body was thrown overboard, my dream may have been correct all along. I have watched your story from the beginning. You must be a very strong person. I can't imagine losing my son. I have prayed numerous times for you and Natalie. One thing that I have thought from the very beginning is that Joran drugged Natalie with something like ghb. There is a sister drug to ghb that will cause you go into a coma and also have a seizure if given to much. The news media seems to tiptoe around this info as they report your story. Joran and his two buddies, I believe, drugged Natalie and took her to the beach where they planned to have their way with her. I think while Joran was with her, doing God only knows what, she had a seizure. He got scared and called Daddy to fix the mess he had gotten himself into. Joran and his two thugs simply over dosed Natalie. I wonder how many other girls he has done this same thing to. I hope they hang all three of them. No one deserves what he did to Natalie.
