Steve Huff is providing excellent coverage on an obvious tragedy which has so heinously impacted the lives of the Groene family, possibly causing all but one of their deaths. One thing I have found, which I won't post, but will freely share with authorities is a link between Duncan and a system of anonymous remailers used for security, but also frequently used by child pornographers and pedophiles for Internet and newsgroup communication.
Reading his web log is a bit like reading a prediction, as well as a confession. If facts and evidence continue to develop as it appears they might, this is a man who both wants and needs to be removed from the face of the earth.
If guilty, we can't kill him soon enough - and, even if guilty, it's likely we won't. Prior to beginning to cover the disappearance and possible murder of Natalee Holloway - there was Jessica Lunsford. And there have been far too many others before her, with surely more to come.
A woman in Canada named Holmolka is due to be set free, that after being implicated in the torture, rape and murder of her younger sister.
How long will America continue to listen to the pathetically weak positions of the hand-wringing, psycho-babbling crowd that at least appears to worry more about predators than victims? I wonder. How many innocent victims-to-be should we fear for prior to agreeing that only an expedient and final form of justice is appropriate in far more instances than it is ever applied?
I wonder.

Thanks Dan for posting the links. That is spooky stuff. Scarry to think there are folks like this in our society. Could be your next door neighbor. Oh my.

Dan, I agree.
And it is too bad that Natalee's parents' only hope is that she was kidnapped by sexual predators. So the situation causes the problem and yet gives us hope.

How long will people continue to believe the pathetically weak position that returning evil for evil only leads to more evil? Dan?

Let me try that again:
How long will people continue to believe the pathetically weak position that returning evil for evil eliminates evil? Dan?

Dan,
I am glad you are sharing this with the proper authority. I see they took his web site down, however his blog is as disturbing as the web site entries you have found, prior to them being removed. Wow, what a view into the mind of a predator, reminds me of "Silence of the Lambs",which up until today, I viewed as just a movie.
Dan, keep up the good work, I hope you understand the difference you are making. And thanks for the link to Steve at the Dark Side of Planet Huff, you both are awesome! As others have posted before me, I now check your site before the MSN. Your unbiased reporting, is a breath of fresh air.

Karla Holmolka (Teale) is actually quite an interesting story of how the Canadian Justice system keeps dropping the ball. too much to go into, but she was never actually jailed for anything pertaining to the rape/murder of her sister. She got 12 years for the kidnapping/rape/torture/murder of two school girls with her then-husband. She tried to cry battered wife syndrom, and the police bought into it and cut a deal. Later they discovered videotapes in the house showing her as a very willing player in the rapes. By that point it was "too late", the deal had been made.
There were several ways that the police could have gone back on the deal, and as she was never charged with her sisters murder, they might have added more time to her sentance, but for whatever reason they didn't.
The great thing with blog sites like this is that it makes people aware and alert of what is going on, and gives the "average person" a chance to have a voice. Aruba is clearly listening, hopefully this forum will work with Americans, Canadians, and the world towards getting reasonable punishments for people that commit these disgusting acts.

Scratch, you had it right the first time. What's your solution, all get together and talk about it? Put all those pedifiles in a room and gas the SOBs. Every last one of them. Their day will come.

No wait, gassing might be painless. Leave it up to the fathers of the little girls and boys who are raped, murdered, cut up, buried alive, decapitated, etc. etc. Let the people who cherished their little voices, and held their little hands decide what happens to them. Show me one mother or father of one of these now dead children who says, oh, don't be too hard on him, evil will abound all the more. You won't find one because they don't exist. Parents like that don't exist. Cut the man's head off and hang it in the square as an example next time. Next time let a couple guys and dogs go after him. Throw him in an alligator tank. Do whatever needs to be done. People like that need a message. Because the message they are getting right now is: Hey, give me $15,000 and make sure you call your parole officer. Since when did sick freaks like that actually do what their told? Especially if it means they can't hunt down little boys and girls anymore.
Those kind of freaks better hope they don't ever take a look at me. I'll pull their *****ing eyeballs out and wrap them around their nuts.

I understand your rage, invisible, and don't blame you at all for feeling that way.

Dan you are so right. We can and should be writting our congress and representatives about these repeat offenders. Senator Biden and Senator Hatch have new legislation to make it harder for repeats to get out but the death sentence needs to be carried out on a more frequent basis and in a swift fashion. We keep upgrading our prisons at the expense of our seniors on Medicare and Social Security. We pay for huge court expenses and legal fees to put a child killer in jail for 50 yrs, fill his teeth and feed him better than half the children in the Appalacian Mountains eat. The foster care programs need financing and we are spending money for Ted Bundy to have a weight room. America wake up!

That is my question. Why do we allow these repeat offenders the freedom to roam? Especially when there is no state-to-state communication system. They need to have some kind of device that can keep track of them at ALL times if they are released. The state that lets a repeat offender go unchecked is a state that is just saying, "Yes, we know what you did, but it's okay for you to roam free. Try to stay out of trouble even though you are grossly addicted to criminal behavior." This is not a logical process to me!

Duncan also created a gif of a Time magazine cover with his picture and the title, "What's Next for Duncan?"

Actually I have been strangely following the stories of Holmolka and Groene case. Everyday I wake up I turn on the computer to read the hideous and quite disturbing news. Post 9/11 I have noticed a difference in the way the media sheds "light" on a certain topic. The headlines are so geniusly prepared that it makes me somewhat thankful and sick at the same time. My point is that horrific crimes have taken place throughout history. A good example that comes to mind is "Jack the Ripper". In today's world, we want to think that society has become more advanced and more secure where crime is concerned. The fact is, that crime has to come from some other dark unknown intity. There are too many cases that I have read that truly baffle me as to "why" would a person commit such a crime. It is perhaps one of the greatest mysteries of life. Why does a man commit murder and torture of another human? Why do serial killers become serial killers? These and many more questions are not going to be brought down to one logical answer. In all of this that I have expressed, I would like to thank the media for covering stories like this. It helps people think about life in a more realistic way. I think the key word here is "think". We think we are in a safe place, but the reality is that there will always be a predator waiting.
