Did any of you READ THIS, from some Birmingham paper on the issues in Aruba & regarding the case? So far it makes sense to me but I have to finish reading http://www.hyscience.com/archives/2005/07/a_black_and_whi.php# Proves some of us were right about that place also I found this on that Mountain Brook, Ala. message board....Re: How to contact the family by grit1972, 7/18/05
After doing some more research I found an address at the Yahoo page for Natalee.3709 Spring Valley Rd.Mountain Brook, AL 35233Also, emails can be sent toNatalee@inline.comHope this helps someone else.

HARRY SAID: Patrick: Joran is 17 years old too. He seems to be handling the pressure a lot better than the girls. And, we seem overly critical of his story changes.
and, Harry, we all know Joran is a con artist from the get-go and has no stage fright, and knows what the meaning of the word "is," is...and he can pull wool over your eyes faster than wink and a nod.
I have never seen a geek with good stage skills and have never seen a con artist who had poor stage skills.

No Problemo JailLess1- I just thought it was funny that Kay is so quick to defend Mt. Brook H.S. as one of the best schools in the world- I like to go by facts and not just opinions.
I am not disputing that the girls aren't bright, and seem far more responsible then most but it does seem like they are worried more about themselves and what people will think of them then finding their friend. Maybe I'm wrong and the FBI told them to keep quiet.....

OMG..Dave Holloway is preparing to leave Aruba & return to Mississippi?! What's wrong w/ that man, doesn't he know thats exactly what some places that are tourist attractions hope when crimes have been committed involving the locals?! At least on the islands I'm from that's how it is! Even in some robbery cases. Dang, somebody needs to put this man up on things. I feel so sorry for Nat's mom, she's a damn good & devoted mother
Posted by: JailLess1 | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:24 AM
She is a good devoted mom, it breaks my heart seeing her every night on tv and really getting no further in this investigation.
Posted by: green i | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:26 AM
green i -- do you know how many schools are in the US??? That is remarkable. I don't even have a child there and I have heard what all they have accomplished and it is amazing.
Not trying to argue with you but that is a remarkable school academically speaking and that's not a bias opinion, just the facts!

Well, you know, people do have to work and handle their personal affairs at home. And it does cost money to stay in Aruba. If it had been my child, I could not have afforded financially to stay there this long, and I would have to return to work by now. The bills do have to be paid. Maybe they will try and take turns, or that there are things he can do from the US.

Proudredneck: I don't attend attend the same theatrical performances that you do.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:31 AM
Dave Holloway has gone home for a few days before. He explained on one of the shows that he has to take care of his business and spend time with his other child. Did he say he was planning to stay home this time? Also, I just read the article on MSNBC and it says the court will release the reason for the DNA testing Wednesday.

Kay
I am not trying to argue with you, but you first said the world, thats a pretty large scale- and I agree that's an impressive ranking, but not as impressive as being in the top 100 schools.
I totally agree that these kids are bright......but this point is really pointless as it doesn't pertain to the investigation.
Posted by: green i | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:35 AM
Harry,
If you are refering to Kay as a proud redneck, I think you need to keep name calling to yourself it only shows a weekness in debate and facts. You don't win with kingergarten antics. Despite the fact that is not what we are here to discuss!

If they had to get a court order for the DNA, what could the three be afraid of ?
They had a forensic expert on Nancy Grace last night. He thought that even without proper DNA evidence, they would have a pretty good idea if it was Natalee's hair on the duct tape.
They might be taking the DNA now so that there isn't another two week delay.
The three of them must be ready to crap !

Hey Shonana, I know this but have you checked out their "reward" for Nat's return recently? That HUGE jump only leads to believe how much they must also be accumilating in doantions. Do you even realize how many heart this has touched around the GLOBE, not just the U.S. Beside's my focus wasn't on "Dave Leaving" but the fact that Nat's mom has to be out of her territory all by her lonely only self...this scenario is seemingly getting worser w/ each passing day. Again, here is the hook up to her & her family which I found on the Mountain Brook mess. boards..((Did anyone know that Dave Holloway is preparing to leave Aruba right now & return to Miss.? How sad I feel Nat's mom now she's going to be up there all by her lonely only self :(!! Again here is their contact I found on that Mountain Brook mess. board for anyone who wants to send their regards & supportive words...((by grit1972, 7/18/05 14:50 ET

As far as being proud goes I think all southerners have every right to be proud since they have the number one school in the U.S., in Irondale, AL.

OK. MBHS is probably as good a school as most, better than some worse than some. But when kids are trotted out who know less than nothing about the final hour there at C&C and can't even seem to remember their own names, they just come across as morons. Sort of like showing up for your final exam and telling the teacher that you really know the answers but you can't write them down for her because you might have to take a more important test later on.
Posted by: Jessie | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:44 AM
Did it ever occur to those who judge these Mt. Brook girls so harshly that they, their parents, and the Holloway's/ Twitty's will read this. These are young inexperienced girls who have been cast out to the sharks of the press, and are being crucified for having an enjoyable evening as Seniors, therefore; they are scared to enen talk! These 17 and 18 year olds have most never even been on a job interview before, much less frowned on by the world.

People with nothing to hide do the right thing. Several years ago, a "friend" asked me to buy a travelers check from her, so I did (that was my first mistake). I later was at a casino and out of money, but I had this check. My ID was in my car in valet parking, and an acquaintance said they would cash it. Unbeknownst to me at the time (but now I see how stupid I was), the thing was a counterfeit. When that person tried to cash it, security immediately detained her. After 20 minutes and her not returning with the money, I went looking for her and I, too, was detained. We were both subsequently arrested for a felony and spent the weekend in jail. Nothing became of it because no crime was committed. However, if I had known that it was counterfeit from the onset, do you think I would have waited around or went looking for her? Hell no. I should have known (as I am intelligent), but didn't. The moral of the story is you do what is right, even in the face of adversity, if you have nothing to hide or are TELLING THE TRUTH.
The MB students need to say what they know or get off TV and stop feeding us useless BS we could care less about. We've heard it all already.

Jessie, the rankings at MBHS on the SAT and ACT find their students among the top percentile in the nation. These kids do not attend remedial courses. This school has very high standards and most kids there are enrolled in A-P courses.
I would think that maybe only schools that would outrank it in Alabama might be Auburn, Tuscaloosa or one of the large high schools in Huntsville.

Another juicy article I just came up on..http://www.scaredmonkeys.com/?p=1295 ( An true example on how the murder of a tourist can give a bad rep to paradise)
Posted by: JailLess1 | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:58 AM
Amanda: Yes, it has ocurred to us. But, the person in jail is 17 years old as well, and his parents and friends read these posts, as well. I wonder who feels worse? Something tells me that the Alabama kids are being treated far more fairly than the Aruban kids on these posts. Of course, maybe I'm just partial to one side. The 17-year-old in jail is being held on suspicion.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:58 AM
I totally agree if they know something they need to tell it and I am sure they did to the FBI and other athorities. However, we know how the Aruban Governmenent works and they say "no talking about the investigation." So the girls said. what they could as a favor to Beth I am sure and to
co-operate with the media. We need them after all to know what is happening over there, and they have to fill up the air time some how. And the case needs to stay in the spotlight, so there is a solution.
Posted by: Amanda | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 12:58 AM
Well we know were Joran is tonight we don't Natalee. And, his parents have been given the opportunity to talk to the media but the father won't let any of them talk so I guess they have something to hide.
Posted by: Amanda | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:00 AM
If you're not taking then you must have something to hide. I guess that's why the lawyers instructed the Alabama teens to not talk to anyone. They must have something to hide.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:03 AM
Harry do you know they have lawyer for a fact? If so please provide the source they come from for all of us. I didn't know there was a need for them to have lawyers they aren't suspects.
Posted by: Amanda | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:07 AM
OK. So they go to a good school and are not really representing the school when the trot themselves out for TV interviews. The point is that the come off like morons when they waste viewers time with that empty headed talk that they give. I know my complaint is with the TV people who put them on, but but of god's sake, can't they figure it out for themselves that they come across a morons? Stuff like: "I left the bar at about midnight --- I did not see Natalee get in that cab--- if we had been there Natalee would not have gotten into that car with those boys---Natalee was not drinking". WELL they said they left at about midnight folks.

This blog contains alot of information about the Natalee Hollway case. It is best to review the posts and allow the information to internalize. I'm not here to lecture on Natalee Holloway 101.
By the way, who's Kay?

I'm right here Harry what do you need?
Posted by: Kay | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:11 AM
The different pictures shows around 5 or 6 girls and they says NH is "popular", ( what about 30 or 40 more ?) however, the interviews are always with the same FOUR and there is never other information that they all are very good kids. Yeah right, going to the RED zone on a Sunday at midnight COME ON !!!
I think they are all plastic people

Kay, Amanda needs you to tell her that you are not ProudRedneck.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:13 AM
We used to live in Liberty Park next to Mountain Brook and can vouch for the High School's excellence. The average SAT scores of the students is sky high, especially for a public school, and the community is very beautiful and affluent.
Also, I remember the girls, especially Ms. Byrd, telling a different story several weeks ago about when and where they met Joran that evening. I don't know why they would change their stories and find that fact confusing and upsetting. Changing their story challenges their credibility as it has Joran's credibility.
Posted by: Hera | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:14 AM
Amanda, I am not ProudRedneck that is someone's name on here. However, it did appear Harry was calling me that.
Posted by: Kay | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:14 AM
Ok, they've been on three times now, and can't seem to get the story right. But the general trend is clear:
a) downplay any suggestion that Natalee knew Joran before that night.
b) make it clear that they weren't at CnC's when she left.
c) yet insist she wasn't drinking or taking drugs.
By reverse logic:
Natalee knew Joran, they were there at CnC's until at least 1am, Natalee was drinking and probably taking drugs (which I'm guessing is the Big Secret).

That indictment is uncalled for. You know that I was specifically responding to ProudRedneck.
Posted by: harry | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:19 AM
I agree it has been said she was drinking I have never heard that she was taking drugs but, I don't know I wasn't there. Drinking when you are of legal age is not a crime. However, if you kidnap someone it is! I however, don't know who has done that at this point but the evidence will show us in due time I believe.
But, I do know Joran and the brothers accused two black men of a false crime and got them arrested and Natalee didn't do anything like that.
Posted by: Kay | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:21 AM
No, Harry I did not see Redneck say anything in all honesty and thought you were calling me that because I was talking about how good of a school Mt. Brook is!

My apologize to Ms. Byrd. I just replayed the first interview and she did not contradict herself! I have heard others give a first hand account of her getting into the silver car.

My take is that any judge would be between a rock and a hard place deciding which group of kids was honest-- the 3 suspects or the kids from MBHS that trot theirselves out to be interviewed on TV.
Me, I call it a draw
Posted by: Jessie | Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 01:25 AM
The kids said "two Black security guards." The police investigated and arrested two Caribbean persons. Incidently, the two Caribbeans arrested did not fit the description of the secuirty guards, mentioned by the three kids. And, the two secuirty guards were not altar boys.
